I've heard people using them as classic trial bikes, that must be hard work!

Well done Chris good to hear it running at last but do double check the timing to get it at the exact setting for max power eventually I would definitely fit new points but wouldn’t file the originals just use fine grit paper😊 And a touch of grease as mentioned 😊 Won’t hurt if you put a bit of oil in the cylinder while it’s resting 😌 Hope you’ve solved the wiring and use proper crimps and no connectors use electrical grease on connections and the main earth to stop corrosion 😊 Look forward to seeing you riding it😊 I have a BSA C11 1948 Amongst others. Heh good tuff Atb Phil

Thank you Phil for all the great advice. I did fit new points, condenser and coil in the end, more for peace of mind than anything. It's coming along now, wont be too much longer till I ride it for the first time i'm sure, but the 252 hours i've got to work in March will slow me down a bit.

Does it not need a little bit of grease on the distributor cam?

I have done this, it just wasn't captured on video.
