There’s nothing quite like the feeling of witnessing the “first start!” Nice job! 🎉 Runs smooth!

Thanks. Yes, I think you can see in my face how happy I was when the bike started and ran so well.

It's a really nice bike. If I didn't already have one I would buy it.

I have that same exact bike. Left it sitting for a few years and spent a couple months getting it back into shape. I hope you enjoyed working on it as much as I did. Thank you for sharing the video!

I did enjoy working on it. It is a great feeling of accomplishment to take a project and see a big improvement to it when you are finished with it. It was a great bike to start with which really made my job easier. Thanks for watching.

Great job! I learned a lot just watching this. Got a 2012 Vulcan 900 in my aunts garage that has not been started in 3 years. This vid is the best thing I could have found!

Great video! ❤ I Just purchased my first bike the Vulcan 2008 a week ago with less than 5700 miles on it from FB market and the price was 1800! I think he just wanted it gone and I was happy to take it off his hands 😂

And it runs good right?I’m enjoying my 07 vn9 Cl. They run so smooth

Wow. You got a heck of a deal. It's like buying a new bike for a used price. You should get a lot of years out of that bike and still sell it for a profit.

I loved that look on your face when it started. I'm kinda sad it's done, l really enjoyed the videos on it. You done a great job. The bike looked awesome. 👌😀

The look on my face was genuine. I was so excited when it started and sounded so good. I enjoyed working on it but I'm glad it's finished. Time to get back to work on the Vette. The next project on it will be the trailing arms.

Three years ago I bought a 2013. Had a Harley Street Glide but it was getting too heavy for me to back it up on the smallest grade. Three things I was looking for in a lighter cruiser. Belt drive, large fuel tank and inexpensive to insure. So happy with my choice. Had to get used to the 5 speed but no bike is perfect.

I'm really impressed with the quality and performance of this bike. If I didn't already have a bike, I would be buying this one for myself.

Enjoyed the vid. You say near the end you managed to replace the plugs without taking off the tank. Would be great if you could do a video showing that. There are a few on here already but they're not very good..

I hear the fuel gauge wire on vulcans is hair thin and easy to snap, that could be the gauge issue

Well, I can definitely speak for the speed and agility of the 650 being very enjoyable. Other than that, we do have a 1700.

Even though you hear fuel pump, doesn't mean you have good pressure. Not the case with your bike.
@timewiththedurbins9 ай бұрын
You are correct. I was just hoping since I replaced the pump and regulator that it was working at the right pressure.

Why do people keep trying to use WD-40 as a penetrant or lubricant? It is neither. Especially when somethings been sitting like that for sometime. He should've put some well-known penetrate in the cylinders and made sure the bike would turn over manually with a wrench on the crank before even tried to start it.
@timewiththedurbins5 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comments. I meant to crank it over before I tried to start but then I had a brain fart and forgot. The cylinders looked pretty good so I didn't think it would be an issue starting. Live and learn. As far as using WD40, like I said earlier the cylinders were not rusty so I didn't think it would take more than WD40 to loosen up the pistons if they were a little stuck. Again, live and learn.
