It was just the right time to sell. supercramps was redundant because of the grundle's existence. Basically they are the same thing, one is just newer and looks better. Along with other factors and such, so to me it just made sense.

A little know fact about MCM music is that it is composed of the original sound recordings from MCM locations played at very high speeds. That is why the songs change when there are different people in the episodes. If you play it back slowed down enough, you can hear the original banter.

The Toyota 2000GT is the most fitting E-Type comparison, but the FD is definitely in that ballpark

Eh, dunno that it's the E-type equivalent. I'd say a 240Z, a 1968 Mazda Cosmo L10B, a Toyota 2000GT would fit that bill better. Those three are stunning examples of Japanese styling with a dash touch of European and some American looks. The RX7 is pretty, but it's not "Sun setting over Charlize Theron" pretty. The RX7 is a bit... too smooth, it's good looking, but there's no play on lines. I'd say that the creator intended to please the eye, rather than challenge it. Like certainly, you'd look at a Mazda Cosmo AP fastback and you'd fight to understand it, but it's a classic, good looking car. Kinda hard to explain, but there's pretty design that's wild (E-type fits that bill) and then there's pretty design that's not (and the RX7 is in that bracket). Of course, i'm talking 100% untouched, factory out cars. Just my 2 cents.

Steering adaptive headlights having a wee self check. Love those. My uncle used to drive a DS and i'd love going on drives with him as the car "looked" around the corner. It's awesome to see this tech in modern cars.

Hi guys! You need much LARGER OIL COOLER! And you must relocate it instead of right or left fog lamps area and make airflow ducting! Boosted EZ30 will produce A LOT OF HEAT You need to take care for maximum coolling capacity! For 500 hp you need minimum 30 row oil cooler!

@@72mardy I do) And do you realise that every time Marty took Supergramps to set a lap time record on the track, it runed too hot and overheated after 2-3 laps? And also I run a boosted EZ30 since february 2019, daily and trackdays, so I know what I'm talking about 🫡👍

@@LegacyDriver there's one small difference between you and Marty.....he has an Al, a Benny and a Scotty at his disposal. He also has hundreds of thousands of dollars in his pocket. If anything goes wrong he will just fix it. Also.... supergramps only used the standard ez30 single row radiator, which is barely adequate for the standard engine. The frontal intake area of the BP series liberty and outback is quite restricted too. Stuff a big cooler in front of everything and it's going to restrict even more airflow to the radiator. The levorg has more intake area, and he's fitted a Fenix 32mm alloy radiator. Last point...he had the GT bonnet on supergramps. Without having the factory intercooler under the bonnet scoop, and the associated ducting, it can cause a weird vortex and actually disrupt the airflow from the front to the rear of the engine bay. The same way that not running the factory under tray can cause under bonnet and coolant temps to be higher than normal. Vehicle manufacturers spend countless hours and millions of dollars on engineers and wind tunnel testing to ensure correct airflow paths for adequate cooling. You mess with that by adding unnecessary scoops and/or extra airflow restrictions, you are going to get higher temperatures. It's not all about how big your oil cooler is, but getting air through it.

Like 3-4 years ago I think when I started to fight with coolant and oil temps of boosted EZ30. And there is a lot of difference between me and Marty, not only that small you mentioned))

Those number plates have been around since Martys mum's driveway days. I'm pretty sure they were on a Daihatsu to start with. It would've been cool to have old and new wagons together. What's the name of the Levorg? Surly the Grovel name won't stay

7:47 Watch out when putting your finger in the power steering pump pulley. I cut my finger really bad doing that once. The holes in the pulley were stamped and the back sides were razor sharp.
