nice work on clearancing the tow hook area for the charge pipes, always a pain to do, the added protection on metal edge then extra ayer of silicone on hoses themselves is beautifully done, nice work guys! you both are slaying it!

car warmed up fully, then set the TPS, then set the base idle, then set the mechanical timing (when setting base idle be sure to unplug your idle air control valve connector on back side of plenum, that way the ecu isnt messing with idle while you are trying to set the mechanical idle first =] )
@builtbymiller Жыл бұрын
Just dropped the next video with this and sard bov sound! I may have to go back and check the timing since I think I did that first.

Blow off valves while running a MAF? I thought that wasn’t a good idea. Running BOV on a MAP set up is fine but while using the MAF I would use stock recirc valves.
@builtbymiller Жыл бұрын
I’ve never heard of that. I ran bov on my previous car with no issues. Can you elaborate on the risk and why it’s not a good idea?

Hey do you still have the intercooler plastics those will be helpful, im currently working on my 1991 na / TT shell i bought it for 1k i can show you to
@builtbymiller Жыл бұрын
I do still have them, i will be using them to build custom ducts. Will do a video on that but basically use cardboard to make a template, transfer that onto corrugated plastic. Test fit it and once you know it fits, cover the plastic with fiberglass/carbon and rip out the plastic so the composite duct is what you have left.

no hate here, but sell your 2" intercoolers and buy 2.5", you do not want to adapt up from intake to 2.5" then down to 2" intercooler, then back up to 2.5" itll be a bottle neck and your setup is going to very very laggy compared to the proper setup. again, no hate here whatsoever. but you do indeed want the comparable sizing throughout, weather that be 2" or 2.5" you want congruency throughout. def an annoyance im sure, but weve all been there. better to do it correctly now while you still have easy access and your intercoolers are still considered brand new. that way you get the most for resale, and not low balled for no reason =] your guys call, just speaking from exp. i may not be wealthy but when it comes to z32, that is legit all i know!
@builtbymiller Жыл бұрын
Definitely agree, I will be putting on some bigger intercoolers soon. These were the ones that came in Z1 “500 Hp kit” which I thought was going to save me some money but it hasn’t turned out to be that way, lol.
@martycharron3415 Жыл бұрын
@@builtbymiller just run them if you don't plan on going over 500hp. the piping will help a tonne, and the intercoolers arent going to hold you back. Really good job on your thoroughness, clearly you are very talented.
