Totally agree with you Daniel, there's a thin line between loneliness and solitude. Loneliness is suffocating and expresses the pain of being alone while solitude is liberating and expresses the glory of being alone. But we must be careful. When I see these amazing images I realize that perfection exists not only in nature but in your special way of capturing them. It is in them where your creativity blossoms. I have said it, I say it and I will say it again: we only need you being you, with your ups and downs. That's all. Life as it is.Because you are a creation in yourself. Congrats to the 2 years and thanks a lot for them. For more bright days ahead and continue making awesome memories. Every encounter with you is a privilege sweetie.

I'm exactly the same! As artists and empaths we feel more of the world around us. Therefore, solitude is much needed for rest and recovery. In my personal experience, it's when I feel recharged from solitude that I then need the human connection and start to feel lonely. I love my hugs hehe 🥰

Life happens in the gray areas. The transitions. Between solitude and loneliness, between winter and spring, between light and dark. Rather than think of being less creative in January, realize that it is a result of living so in tune with the nature that you love. It was a time for dormant waiting. A time to conserve life not express it. As you feel the earth shift, even a fraction towards spring, you too are shifting, and opening up to new energy and new life for your creative self.
@DanielErik9 ай бұрын
Yes, it's such a wonderful way too look at it, it's simply being in tune with Mother Earth! I guess I did see it even back then, but it was still hard... I guess partly because I'm not used to being this in tune with nature, as I am now living out here. ❤️ It kind of caught me off guard!

So beautiful. We finally got lots of snow here in Minnesota and I’m watching this beautiful video as I look outside at my landscapes and see the sun rise over the beautiful snow creating a blue and golden glow. Hi Daniel. It is important that along with the pursuit of perfection and a perfect film composition, that sometimes accepting imperfection is also just as grand. We are imperfect beings and sometimes all we can do is what we can do in that moment. So fear not. Seeing you in your natural habitat is wonderful in its own right. It does not have to be perfect. it is beautiful out there. And Yes, things are changing here in Montreal as well. This past week more sunlight, and warmth. We've actually had the windows open every day for at least a few hours of fresh air. It has been unseasonably warm (for February) because February is usually the brutalist month of winter. It is (6c) at 6 pm Saturday evening. We will drop into Minus double digits in the next few days overnight, so Winter is far from over just yet (here). UGH !! Your Smile and Blue Eyes against the beautiful snow just makes your films incredible. ( The Blue Eye Club is strong!!) Hang in there. The sun is coming back and soon the bird song will as well.
@DanielErik9 ай бұрын
Thank you for that important reminder! And wow, having windows open sounds lovely! Can't wait until I can have that here! 😍 But sounds like you still have some winter left to go through! I hope you'll manage to stay warm!💕

Daniel you are so amazing. ❤❤❤ Always showing how you feel here, when the winter forces your creative soul to take a break. May I suggest that even though it must have made you sad. I interpret this forced break, to be a gift to you from mother earth, knowing how inspired you’d be now that spring is coming, and your creativity is coming back full force 🥰

I believe you're completely right! The winter is a time for us to slow down, so it's not weird that I've felt the way I have felt (but it's still hard, haha!). The positive thing about all of this, is how wonderful you feel when it finally starts to shift - which I think it has! 😍

Oh, l really love this Video - the way you bring the beauty of the nature of Sweden to us and the very nice way you bring along the outstanding beauty of your soul 😊.... Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions - the thin line between solitude and loneliness is an interesting issue.... And the difference between your mood now with the idea of spring in the atmosphere and the last Video with a trace of hopelessness in the endless winter - wow. And you are SO right - it's that important not to suppress the bad feelings, but to welcome them also as an accepted part of you, because otherwise they will turn out even worse or come back again and again. I have experience with depression and first l tried everything to make them go away as quick as possible. It lasted long untill l was able to say friendly 'hello' with open eyes and open heart to such feelings, to take full responsibility for my own feelings and also for the possibility of changing my way of looking at them and looking at me, of course. That was my key for the shift into another life and to leave the total powerlessness l felt before in this dark times behind. I look forward to your next video! And l'm happy to hear how sweet your old neighbour is - it's good to have such people around 🙂❤️

Dear Daniel, how I relate to what you are experiencing! I live in Jämtland too (moved here 2 months ago) and after the energetic moving in I felt so drained for the whole of january. And now I feel the shift too, the sun rising more and more above the horizon and getting stronger, days getting longer. Last two weeks felt so different and the energy I slowly start to feel again in my body, so wonderful! Fully aware winter in nowhere close to its end but still, the brighter days are coming and watching sunrises, sun travelling in the sky and then sunsets makes me so happy and hopeful. It will be like opening the best present when the snow starts to melt, as I moved here when everything was already covered by snow :) And I also relate to your relationship to the snowmobiles. I do not like the noise and smell they make but I very much appreciate that I can walk or ski in their tracks, otherwise it would have been almost impossible to explore the forests around my village. I love the photo you took! As you filmed and talked from the place you took it I didn't expect it to look as it does, it is just majestic! I wish you have a beautiful rest of the winter and that you embrace whatever comes, whether ups or downs, we are here for all of that is you, not only the shiny things 💛💚
@DanielErik9 ай бұрын
Oh, you've also just moved here? How wonderful! Maybe one day we'll bump into each other! Even though Jämtland is huge, haha! 😂 So nice that you're also starting to feel the shift! It's very apparent now, I'd say! Just a few weeks ago, it felt like everything was "dead" when I was outside, like in a deep slumber. But now, it feels like everything is sloooowly waking up. It's still in its slumber, but things are definitely starting to happen! There's LIFE in the forests energy now! 🥰
@rada_dobi9 ай бұрын
@@DanielErik That would be so nice if we bumped into each other, but I live 3 hours south-east from you, so I don't think there is a big chance :) But still, knowing there is another soul roaming Jämtland forests, noticing the shift and enjoying all the beauty this corner of the World has, that still warms my heart :)

One of the best things about your vlogs is, imho, that you show how you are actually feeling and going about. Although every shot feels like another painting opening up, it still feels like we're invited to check in on you. You don't brush away the things that might disrupt the 'ideal picture', like a neighbour driving by and you feeling awkward about it, and that's exactly what makes it feel like a community. That's the strong line which connects the real on your side and the real on our's. Thanks for this lovely vid - with the extraordinary pleasant general edit. 👏🏻🫂

Thanks a lot! So nice to hear that you appreciate moments like that! That was one thing I told myself (and Alex) when I started this channel; I want it to be as authentic as possible. Social media so often is all about things being, or at least appearing to be, "perfect". And I told myself that if I do this, I want to kinda do the opposite; be as authentic and unfiltered as possible. I believe we need more of that in social media, and I'm glad you seem to think that shows in my videos! ☺️

Hi Daniel! 👋 Love the new video! And yes, I have felt a shift even down here in South MS, USA. I finally got out today and cleaned out most of the plants that sadly didn't make it through our little winter cold snap we had a few weeks ago. Even though it was overcast all day today, it felt good to just get out there and clean up a little to get ready for Spring. I also found a Yellow Jasmine flower on the ground so it made me feel even more like Spring is coming! The Yellow Jasmine vines grow in the trees and other vines behind my She Shed during the Spring and I was pleasantly surprised to see one on the ground already😁 Anyway, I'm glad you were able to get out and enjoy some of the much needed sunshine, and have some fun skiing... also, don't worry about what other people think about your filming! You exquisite photography really captures the thin line between solitude and loneliness. Introverts love solitude's inner quiet, as it allows for deep reflection, as well as being a wellspring for creativity. Loneliness, however, can obscure this like a heavy fog, so one becomes disconnected from their inner well being. It's a balancing act to know how to skirt the edges of solitude and loneliness. Your imagery expresses this visually for all to see. Jenny USA

We live in a society where everyone is trying to be so perfect and project a false light. I so appreciate your authenticity, you are a very beautiful being. I love y our videos. Nature is so healing, so peaceful. Sending you so much love 💖💖

Thank you for saying this! One thing I really want to do with my content, is to normalize that everything is NOT perfect! I think that's something this world, and social media in particular, needs. Much love back to you! 💕

Congratulations for two years on KZbin:) It was very touching to see you searching for the tissue bag. I think very few people would do that. I can still remember the beautiful silence from a holiday in Finland. This silence is so rare and I really miss it in the city. I really appreciate your thoughts on solidtude and loneliness. The line is thin and sometimes I don‘t know which side I‘m on. Also, I‘m not very sure if this state is chosen or not. I try to embrace it as best as I can and slowly look for ways to connect with other people. I hope you always find the courage to continue with your projects. The photo in the snow was very much resonating with me. Best wishes from Germany.

Another beautiful and insightful video Daniel. I find that throughout my life I have had periods where I just couldn't get motivated and then suddenly one day I wake up and everything slots into place and I feel invigorated. I have no idea why that happens but happens it does. During the winter time I on'y want to stay at home and be warm and dry but I know in my bones when Spring is starting and I feel alive again.Tonight I am having dinner with my family in a restaurant, do I want to go? I would rather stay at home and stay warm but I have now got my butt into gear and I will go and I know I will have a great evening. You have must in your life Daniel to appreciate and you can do it in stunning surroundings. In many ways I envy you.

Good evening, Vince! Always nice to hear from you! 🥰 I can really relate a lot to what you're describing, at least for the first part of winter. I can finally start it shifting no though, and this part of winter is something I actually really love! I hope you have a nice dinner with your family! I can relate a lot to that situation as well... Not really feeling like going, but once you're there, you have a really good time! ☺️ Sending hugs your way! 💕

Wow what can I say Daniel but WOW. your insight is absolutely breathtaking (especially your insights into solitude and loneliness...the fine line between the two and how they are intrinsically different) in addition to the amazing shots!!!! a joy for the eyes. it reminds me so much of my childhood when we used to go cross country skiing sitting in the midst of glittering snow drinking hot chocolate...such a romantic feeling if you know what i mean. there is little in life that brings me such deep joy as absolute silence. congrats on the 2 years. keep being the wonderful person you are!!!!

So good to see you Daniel!!!! It's always good when you can once find yourself again!!!!!! The forest is absolutely stunning, as the trees give you energy and revival for life!!!!! I hope that you know how very lucky you are to be able to walk/live there, even though the winters are beautiful but brutal!!!!! I just can't get over how gorgeous that place is and those mountains, OMG, just breathtaking, to say the least! I can totally understand the sadness about a machine tracking in and around that beautiful, basically, untouched place but like u said, it's good too this day, that there are people on them, to cut u a path to get to where u want to!!! U need a pair of snow shoes, carry them in a backpack with you! The pictures you've taken, no words can express how beautifully you've captured that magical forest, just perfect!!!! I think you've finished the lesson you had and have explained it just as well as shown it, the fine line between loneliness and solitude, fantastic job!!!! OMG, I'd be freezing my keister off, the say the least, in that cold lol lol Wow, and that snow storm you got caught in going back to the village, OMG!!!! Congratulations on two years having your YT channel and over 17k subscribers! Daniel, just an incredible video, as all of your video's are! Thank you so much for taking us along in this beautiful wonderland u live in!!!!! We love u Daniel and please stay safe, there!!!!!! Stay strong in your mind, because winter doesn't last forever, you have the spring to look forward too!!!!!! Always remember, you are smart/creative/such a special person/ a strong person, don't ever forget it, you've got this!!!!! So much fun, are your video's!!!

Good evening! So glad that you're happy about a new video! 🥰 Oh yes, I feel so extremely thankful to live here! Having the nature and this much space to freely roam around in! There's nothing else like it! 😍 I actually do have an old pair of snowshoes! But they're so bulky, that I don't use them that often. On the other hand though, skis are even more bulky! Maybe I should try using the snowshoes more! ☺️ And lastly, I want to thank you for being here. For following me on my adventures through this life. It means so much! ❤️

Wow, already two years - it’s so neat to see how far you’ve already come in just a short time. I’m so thankful for you & being able to watch your beautiful videos every week! I came across this quote recently & thought of you, “Into the Forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul.” ~John Muir And, although things may seem challenging at times, your decision to move to the country has provided you with an awesome opportunity of self-reflection, to step outside your comfort zone, embrace change, and most importantly…gain a clearer understanding of yourself❤

Hej Kevin! 🥰 So glad that you're always here, spending you valuable time watching and writing! It really means a lot! 🙏🏻 Oh, that's such a beautiful quote by John Muir! That's exactly what I'm doing! Losing my mind but finding my soul! ❤️ Yes, all those things you're mentioning are true! There's so much I'm learning by living like this, and I'm becoming a better person thanks to it. I'm so glad I decided to do this, and so glad I have someone like you following along! Sending a big hug your way, Kevin! 🥰

Dear Daniel, I was so happy to see a notification that you had shared another video. Though I didn't get the opportunity to watch it immediately, it was the perfect video to watch on a sunny, winter afternoon. Though I enjoy the winter months where I live in the Chicago, IL area in the USA, I also see some hints of the spring to come and feel the joy at that anticipation. It is nice to be on the cusp of spring and yet I'm not yet ready to bid farewell to the crisp, chill! I'm glad you felt ready to create and share again. It sounds like you're "solitude " vs. "loneliness" assignment was in perfect alignment with those feelings, propelling you to create. My absolute favorite photo you shared was of you walking into the beautiful sunset, your footsteps trailing behind in the blanket of snow. Breathtaking! I also loved the contrast depicted between the curving drifts, and rugged trees as you mentioned - with you in the middle. It's a place I find myself too. Thank you as always and I hope your spirit continues to feel warm and ready for the next adventure. I look forward to when you will share with us next time. 🏞️🤍❄️ Donelle

🥰 ¡Me encanta tu manera!

Hi Robb, I do believe you're right! This is the cycle of nature. The winter isn't meant to be as full of energy - it's there for us to rest. Can be very hard at times, to be alone with you thoughts... But it will be worth it! And when you finally start to feel the shift outside, oh, how wonderful it feels! 😄

Dear Daniel, happy to see to feel better, it must be so hard being alone where you are and you are an hero to do it by yourself. I am sur the power of creativity and love will be back soon. You are such a beautiful soul and seet person... I hope to have the luck to meet you one day ! I also notice a switch in season and we are only February. Saw first flowers who pop right after snow, even a tree covered in flowers ! Was shocked ! Like if it was coming in advance this year.. Let's see I send you lots of love and positive vibes from my little place on earth

Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, it is hard to be here all by myself, but it's also rewarding in so many ways! ☺️ Oh, flowers?! That must be so nice to see! I think we still have a few months until we have any here, haha! And who knows, maybe we'll meet each other "en vacker dag..." as we say in Swedish! Basically meaning it would be a beautiful day if we do! 🥰

Hi Daniel! Something that may help prevent the buildup of ice and snow in front of your shed door is the use of a tarp in front of that area before the snow falls. That way, you can pull(slide) the snow away to prevent accumulation. I hope that helps! I loved this video so much. The music, the footage, the authenticity.. it was so captivating. If my Swedish was half as good as your English I would be so proud! Thank you for bringing mother nature to us. I hope you find the tissue package you lost when the snow melts a little. My heart breaks too when I see garbage in nature. I always pick up trash when I see it so maybe, someone will see your tissue package and pick it up. All good things to you friend!
@DanielErik9 ай бұрын
Oh, you mean you lay the tarp simply on the ground, let the snow fall on it and then you can just remove it? ☺️ So glad you liked this video! I do hope I, or someone else, will find the plastic from the tissues! I would hate for it to stay in nature! Thank you for picking up trash whenever you see it! ❤️
@GA-lx6ib9 ай бұрын
Ja precis! You’d have to get a really thick tarp. I’m not sure if you have access to one of these but ‘otter sleds’ are really helpful too. They are long and wide and could work in place of a thick tarp. I absolutely love your videos. I loved the part where you zoomed in on the rain gutter with just a drip drip of water. It was so artistic! All the best to you friend!
