This boat is a monster when you bring it out it demands attention 👍😎Just wait til you get it to stay planted👀Gotten over 70mph on mine and still haven’t took it to do an actual speed test.So much fun to drive and watch running on the water,but a little scared running on the River right now with all the debris and crap in the water$$

Big B!,,, I’ve noticed batteries back helps my UL19 ride better also. I recently went back to stock straight turn fin, i couldn’t stand the wide turns. Ended up heating it up & putting bend in it. Definitely better. Mad lizard one great if you want em to really hook. can’t wait to watch this ride, stay after it. I Just ordered the tuning gauge.

2:45 minutes into the video and I can tell that thing has some serious muscle!!! Slow motion is so cool. Your receiver battery was 6.0v at 7:44 minutes 😂🤣😂 that transmitter is awesome!!! I love it. The potential here is near limitless, yep it’s guna take some tuning but I’ll be here to see it 👍 thanks for sharing. AWSOME

Thanks Neal, I actually really like the transmitter with the vocal read outs. Once I go to the speed run spot we'll really get to See or should I say hear the GPS read outs in real time. I've got alot of tuning to do but we'll sort it all out.

Have no experience with this type off hull. But she is a ripper for shure. Just think, like you also said, a challenge to set up... I guess its design wants to make it fly, so it will be difficult to find that sweetspot... Also think it needs very calm water too but we will see, maybe i'm totally wrong. It's the reason why i don't have one, that's for sure. But you are the man to do it big B...!

Thanks for naming me as a mentor, I SINCERELY appreciate it. I was thinking smaller prop at first. Temps were a bit up there. It seemed happier with the Oxidean prop. That is FAR too much boat for the park pond now. All those Christmas trees appear inches apart when you're smoking along. I sent you a set of JetStepper plans, just for giggles.

No problem master Yoda! 😆 Yes sir hopefully the wind & weather allows me to run at the river this evening .. Temps were warm bu not hot I switched the cooling.. rudder to the esc & blast to the motor. That should help with Temps.

You turned it into a beast. The setup looks very clean as well 👍I love hydro's. It takes some time to fine tune but dialed in, they fly on the water. I was looking at the bottom design and I noticed the bottom looks flat at the rear. Maybe by adding small ride pads at the back left and right, you could improve stability. Air will be guided out the back between the ride pads and it might prevent flipping. You could temporarily tape them to the bottom just for testing. Cheers! DJ

Watching this video again & learning from testing my UL19. Seems like the strut trim adjustment is almost the most crucial thing for tuning this boat. I found the less my prop is in water the better it runs. Seems in this video it was lifting more from too down strut causing it to lift?

Yes sir buddy, put that bad boy to work. Reinforcement with big power is gonna be the ticket. I'm ordering the carbonfiber for mine this weekend. I put the stock turn fin on hopefully the wind corporates this evening.

Its a tough one B. Excited to see what route you go with this one. Im not gonna lie, I wanna hit 100 with mine real bad but I called it quits for the season and just going to enjoy it until it warms up. I hit 70 pretty easy but ran out of options of batts, props and talent lmao. This hull loves and hates speed at the same time.

B, is that wing thing between the sponsons adjustable? Just wondering if that would help keep the bow planted. I guess the real question is why does the bow want to lift up in the first place.

It's the turn fin angle I had. It doest do it with a straight turn fin!

Hey b, random blackjack question for you. I watch all your videos. Haven’t seen a 3 blade on the blackjack 42…. The 3 blade by offshore electrics is a popular prop for that boat. Mine runs really well on it. What are your thoughts on that prop for the 42? Thanks
@IRONCLADRC2 жыл бұрын
I've run the oxidean 5016 3 blade and loved it, with the stock electronics on 8s I was getting 75-77 mph almost every run.

insane creation ! two things i keep forgetting to ask-why did you remove the vertical fins in the back and in the full size hydro they can change the angle of the front wing with a pedal as they run. any thoughts on making a front wing that can be adjusted with a third channel micro servo?
@IRONCLADRC2 жыл бұрын
I don't run the vertical fins because I tend to break off in high speed crashes.. and yes the front winglet could be cut off and made active using a servo and a Giro. Will I ever do that? Only time will tell!
