Castle was a steal. The most NBA ready player in the draft in my opinion. Shout out Newton high school. Went there my 9th and 10th grade years

Nick actually nailed it, I was mad with the 8th pick but keeping draft picks to trade in a year or two is the big brain.

The only part that I don't like about his take is that the Spurs will go after a point guard in the future. The Spurs brought Castle in to be the pg of the future. More than likely, they will be looking to bring in a big time small forward at some point down the road unless they draft someone.

It’s about time this guy said something right. The eighth pick we didn’t need. And we traded them for futures just in case anything happens to anybody else on the squad. The San Antonio Spurs have more draft picks than people know. This team is set up to be another Dynasty run in the future Spurs fans just have to be patient. The problem is a lot of young fans today. Wanna win now. You heard the guy talk about it when you go to college you wanna get into the NBA and not worry about winning a title but this guy wants to win so do the Spurs.

These analysts have no vision or idea of what the Spurs are doing. VW is so great the Spurs will be competing for a title in Year 3 of the VW era. They are already building to beat the Mavs with the D juggernaut that will be VW-Sochan-Castle-Vassell-CP3/Wesley. PATFO will be bringing in a 3&D all-star if not in 2024 then 2025.

I love all the people who think you should’ve took Dillingham. He’s a great player was saying the right things to work with Wemby but here’s the problem. The guy is not clutch. He has missed a lot of shots down the pike kind of reminds me of Devante Graham, but a little more Skill. Defense they don’t need scores. They have Wemby who will be a future 30 point score.R

You can learn to shoot. The Spurs arent looking to draft a player that doesnt play defense

@@g5162 If you can learn to shoot, you can learn to be a better defender. Plus learning to shoot isn't that easy. Ben Simmons has been learning since his rookie season, and he's just one example.

@@queyoung6597nah man dillingham ist very small. He won't ever be an above average defender. I don't even think he will be an average defender but he could be. And meanwhile everyone can learn to shoot with enough practice. Castle was a good shooter in highschool, his mechanics look decent and he is a decent free throw shooter. And most importantly he is a winner

@@queyoung6597 You can learn to play "better" defense but you need the physical attributes to be an elite defender. Dillingham isn't tall for his position, doesn't have long arms and isn't an eager participant on that side of the floor. Dilly makes sense for Minnesota. They needed a spark off the bench that could score. Mentioning Ben Simmons is disingenuous especially when the Spurs have already developed several players to become better shooters. Ben Simmons has some mental or physical thing going on that prevents him from becoming a good shooter. Learning to shoot is a lot easier than becoming an elite defender. The majority of the players in the NBA can shoot. People at the local rec center can shoot. The number of elite defenders in the NBA are few
