These young men need to realize , the chiefs are the golden boys of the nfl - they’ll get every 50:50 call and anything remotely capable of being a penalty will be called against them . Now they need to play good enough to overcome a very game chiefs team , and some favoritism by the refs weekly . A lot to ask but I believe that the massive talent gaps between the two squads as well as the comradery of the eagles , will overcome it all . Eagles win 31-17 , but wouldn’t be shocked if the defense went lights out , and the offense dropped another 50 bomb

Scheme can cover a lot but it can only take you so far. There is a point at which the talent is simply too much for the scheme. I remember Greg Popovich saying he never planned to shut down Kobe because you can’t. He planned to shut down everybody else and make Kobe beat them himself. The Chiefs can’t stop Saquon Barkley. The combination of talent on the offensive line and his ability and how they coordinate the run game is too much. The question is can the chiefs make open field tackles so that they minimize the damage he can do then shut down the pass game. If Barkley breaks off a couple of 50+ yard runs that’s the ball game. He’s going to get on base but can you keep him from hitting the home runs?

His answer was that every team knows what every team is doing. There is this idea that knowing what a team will do enables you to stop it and that’s just not the case. You can play Madden against an elite player and he can tell you exactly what he’s going to do before he does it and you won’t be able to stop him. This comes down to execution not knowledge.
