The only logical reasoning i see why they keep dak and Mccarthy get a Zimmerman is to if the season goes wrong they can blow it up without cowboys fans thinking they gave up. They don't want to pay all that money Jerry Jones wants to make deals but waits too lomg and expects people to take a discount. The market isnt going down.

Hahahahahaha this is funny to watch the Cowboys handle this. I think they will sign Lamb. Not sure why they waiting on making this deal. Super weird. The Dak “evaluation” is just stupid. Liek you said he’s what he is but, letting him walk is Dallas going back. I like they should have kept Moore but, yes like you said, go get Ben Johnson or Bobby Slowick

Yeah why do they keep repeating this Dak evaluation? It’s driving me insane. It makes no sense.
@patrickleblanc6135 ай бұрын
There is no dak eval. Might be a trey lance eval for the backup spot, but no dak eval. This litteraly the same as has always been for cowboys contract negotiations-playing nervous and scared. Plus theres this advice that ol al davis gave to jerry about deal making, never be the first to start negotiations or you lose. And as a shrewd businessman, he will try just about anything to "win" the deal. Hince jerry and stephen are afraid that they will lose the deal. The joneses also love getting deals so much that they desire it over almost everything else. The "cowboys discount" is definately something they desire from their star players. Thats one of the main reasons why cd isnt paid yet, they are waiting for cd to offer them a deal that they cant refuse like 15 mil a year instead of 30. But it aint gonna work, its gonna get to nearly 11th hour, and then a deal will get done that doesnt really work in the joneses favor anyway cause they waited till the last minute. They do this shit to themselves because their so desperate for the deal to be in their favor that it just hurts them in the end

@@patrickleblanc613 you might be right on all of your points when or when not to get contracts signed but, I’m not even going to question them for a second on deals and negotiations when it comes to business and how that “should” work. Jerry Jones has taken the Dallas Cowboys to beyond incredible heights as a business. Im sure over these many years he has been able to master negotiating deals. As fans we can sit here and say “why did they wait so long to do this and that” when never being remotely ready involved with how it works.

You're so correct on the Dak front, he's shown you exactly who he is (a good not great quarterback), so not signing him a while ago makes zero sense
@JWLSports5 ай бұрын
Yeah I don’t know why they keep pretending like there is new stuff to learn about Dak.

6:03 if the Cowboys were serious about going “all in” they would have signed Bill Belichick. His biggest weakness is roster construction but that wouldn’t really matter for a Cowboys team that’s mostly already built. He would shut down the nonsense and focus on football which might be the reason why they didn’t try to sign him. As much as he’s a football owner, Jerry Jones is also a carnival barker. He loves the circus and the attention in a way that would never mesh with a coach like Belichick.

McArthy runs an ancient & predictable version of the West Coast Offense. Players from the 49ers & Packers have done podcast interviews where they said they knew every time we were running double/triple slant, *just by our formation. Both teams picked off that play* Kurt Warner said Dak cannot get a read on the defense on this play, bc everyone is cutting on the slant at the same time. Dak has never had an elite playcaller.

I agree with you for the most part. I dont think Harbaugh would have been a good or working fit for Jerry. York pulled all sorts of sneeky stuff to get rid of Harbough because Jim is great but marches to the beat of a different drummer and the GM and owner foolishly thought they knew better. Jerry knows he knows best down to his bones. Jim and Jerry would be Punch and Judy. Look at Jerry with Jimmy Johnson! I could be wrong but I suspect he is stringing along Mike and Dak to push them. Do or die. He onows what Dak is under Mike. He thinks I bought you all these great players and what have you done with it? Nothing. I'm cutting you off. Not buying you anything new. Win this year or move along. If this doesnt motivate you I dont know what will. Not saying this is right approach. But I think this is his approach. Also people say he wants to win soon because of his age. Trust me, guys like Jerry dont think about mortality. He believes he will live to be at least a hundred and be smarter than everyone in the room at any age. Its what makes men like that who they are. Ego is Jerry's main driving trait. Ego will forego reason and accountability.
@JWLSports5 ай бұрын
Yeah but this whole putting them under pressure to “win or go home” is honestly nonsense and just bad football.

@@JWLSports Absolutely! 32 teams, right? 31 are going home empty handed each year. Ricky Bobby says if you're not first you're last. Nick likes to say that because his Chiefs are on top. But it's BS, lol. 1 team is great and had a great year but 32 teams suck? Damn 49ers lost a winnable game in the Superbowl they should all find other lines of work? LMAO 🤣. 'Yeah honey, we lost in overtime today I need to start looking at the want ads, I suck, the team sucks, and the whole year was a waste, I'm a loser, do you want a divorce?" It's all show when teams say Superbowl or Bust! But then again, we cheer that. We don't rally behind "Hey if the ball bounces our way more than every other team we could win the Superbowl but the odds are we won't. But we will try our best and be content with however we do, because good sportsmanship is the ultimate goal here, it's not about winning and losing it's how you play the game.". That's the ticket! 😆

What people arent thinking about is say they get rid of Dak. Do you really think CD wants to hang around with a worse qb or even wait through a rebuild when hes pretty much in his prime. If im CD im asking what are they doing at qb because if they are gonna rebuild or even use Lance he may just wanna move on and try and win now. Say what you want about Dak but he tries to get the ball to CD alot. Last year even if he wasnt open and on the run he would just chuck it up and let CD run back to it and catch it. I just think if they move on from Dak then its gonna turn into a diggs situation. Where he isnt happy and throwing a fit.

Not sure it matters. Justin Jefferson just signed his massive contract with the Vikings and they have a backup QB and an unproven rookie. They want their money more than anything.
