I think the best outlet store is the one near Los Angeles, desert hills. They have Prada, Fendi, Dior, Gucci, Saint Laurent, And a lot of super expensive brand stores. the Saint Laurent bags are about $600 compared too $1,300

You just have to make sure what you buy comes from the regular boutique, not made specifically for the outlet. Usually the ones made and sold ONLY in the outlet are lower quality. Just keep an eye out and ask the SAs.

I am a loyal Gucci customer and a younger sister of mine is loyal to Salvatore Ferragamo. We have shopped at the outlet in San Marcos but usually to buy wallets or small leather goods for handbags we already bought. Both of these stores carry discontinued and out of season goods. Nothing is made specifically to be sold at any of their outlets. Also merchandise is sent there from Italy because the American buyers didn't buy the items for the US at the time and it's outdated now. On the other hand all of our bridge brands like MK, Nike, Coach, Kate Spade etc. have items made specifically for outlets and have markings to indicate that along with their out of season goods.

Vini Johnson Some brands like Micheal Kors and Coach make items specifically for the outlet. It’s common knowledge, look it up. As for other brands, I am not certain. But I do know that Prada does this as well, per an SA who is a close friend.

I was visiting San Antonio and we stopped at that same outlet in San Marcos, you are right, the bags were like $500 and $600! I didn’t see the bag that I had already planned on getting so I didn’t get anything, but I regret not looking around a little more. 😩 I ended up getting the bag I wanted straight from Gucci’s website and it was 1k. 😩 I’m very happy with it though!

FYI: Items just made for outlets are not the smell quality as those in regular boutiques. Find out what's up before getting too excited. There's also a very popular Prada outlet outside of Florence Italy where you can get Jil Sander shoes, etc as well.

You have to go to the Gucci outlet when their doing an additional off. Typically in June/July & October. I’ve paid as little as $25 for tee shirts and polo’s & $50 for belts. I love the fact that they always have sneakers and shoes for $300 or less.

Yasss! I went there a couple of months ago. Gucci was good but not as good as I hoped it would be. There were not any sale items when I was there. Security was CRAZY too which was uncomfortable and made me not want to purchase. Maybe I went during an awkward time. I'm glad you had a fabulous experience! Btw do you have an F Pace? It's beautiful!!! I'm currently debating an F Pace or a RR Velar.

Yes girl I am from Houston as well but my youngest went to college in Segiun Texas(Texas Lutheran University)...Now living with youngest son because I suffer With Lupus my youngest son has graduated and has a good job here in San Marcos...I can look at the outlet from patio and it's the biggest outlet in Texas ...if I am not mistaken and they added some stores H&H is new there but I love this outlet and it have any store you can think of and this the best time to go because they take additional percentage off so yea girl I understand ITS THE BUM....P E R I O D Be Blessed and not Stressed Peace and Love...

Outlet is not the same quality as the retail store. The items are made intentionally for the outlet. There are differences. It's like wearing a quailty knockoff made by the manufacturer. Crazy...but it's true.

Not entirely true. Some brands like Gucci, Prada, Burberry do make some items for outlet, however they still have surplus items from the previous retail season. Brands like Ferragamo, Versace, Fendi, Saint Laurent, etc only sell products from the retail stores from prior seasons.

Exclusively Erica Ive gotten sunglasses for $140 I definitely recommend it. usually you’ll find some stuff to be dated, but things like sunglasses or gloves are timeless

Me and my shopping friends drive from Houston to San Marcos every Black Friday. We stay 2 nights so we can get our shopping on. Next time you go, stop at the Buckee's in Luling exit off I-10. Buckee's is always an experience. Get your gas, get your snacks, roll out. Best shopping pound-for-pound = San Marcos Premium Outlets.

You do know that outlet stores are a lower grade than the actual stores ...the quality is much lower..... If you were to take your bags to an actual store and compare it .you will definitely see a difference in the quality.

Well there goes Gucci and Prada’s value... ( this is not a dig at anyone btw this is from a collectors perspective) I have a few Gucci items and lately I’ve been thinking I should stop purchasing from them and this solidifies my thoughts. When designer starts being too accessible ( through mark offs and outlets) it’s no longer valuable. I’ll stick with Chanel and LV. Maybe also Fendi... but I’m going to give Fendi some time to prove itself.
