I live in Japan and Brandoff is on the expensive side, hence it is tailored for foreigners who cant speak Japanese and have to pay a premium for that. You can buy at other smaller preloved dealers for 2/3 price of brandoff. Just my 2 cents though.

you have earned a new subbie today. i am so impressed and really love how down to earth you are. i know it's like "how down to earth can you get with luxury goods", but i really love how you view pre-loved items. my mom is someone who would die buying pre-loved and would happily spend tens of thousands. i admire luxury pieces and own a few of my own, it's just not economically practical to be shelling out money i can spend toward other things and experiences. i am going to browse brand off and i totally understand what you were saying about Japan taking things seriously. i lived there for 2 years and they absolutely have high standards for things. i really appreciate you letting us see the behind the scenes. it takes the ambiguity out of buying off ebay. also - really loved how you said you gained an appreciation of asian cuisine haha. i have watched so many KZbinrs insult asian people and food. it's refreshing. thank you for this!

I'll never get over how ugly modern Louis Vuitton is. "Luxury" goods in general TBH. The worst part is that the all over quality has generally declined over the years for most well known brand names, but the prices have increased. The concept of luxury goods in and of itself is actually somewhat appalling if you think about it.
@LoLeKarlchen4 жыл бұрын
my perception of luxury goods also has changed. for my luxury is now good quality, good durable materials, also knowing that the brand is somewhat concious, supporting local shops, i want to buy less and less fast fashion as I realize how bad the quality actually is.

Brand Off sell pre-loved at too high prices. You must remember that everything is dead expensive in Japan, especially Tokyo, compared to the rest of the world. That's why they come to Europe and vakuum our market to sell it for more in Tokyo. I have compared a lot of their prices to pieces I own and bought brand new, and I would not gain much buying from them. They do however have a great variety of brands and pieces. The Japanese have always had a fondness for luxury designers, way before the world wide wave we see today. The most interesting by pre- loved in Japan is the special collections made only for the Japanese market. Wether it being bags, clothing, shoes or jewelry.

Dwightinho56 This is very interesting, thank you for sharing this! I’ve noticed that Louis Vuitton often collaborates with artist who seem to have a specific style of cartoon that often makes me think of anime. Even the cherry blossom bag in this video does not looks like the type of art that is celebrated in North America and Europe. Very interesting!
@dinavienna4 жыл бұрын
I agree their prices are very high
@Born19864 жыл бұрын
LoloTheModel LV has collaborated with two Asian artists and many more non-Asian artists. You’re likely thinking of the more famous or the two, Takashi Murakami, who collaborated with the brand from 2003 - 2015. Murakami has a distinct look and created a number of iconic prints for the house (ex. Multicolor seen in the video).

Great video!!! It was great to see some behind the scenes action. Brandoff is a big player, though there are many others which specialize more. It's a shame western shoppers sometimes lump strict and transparent Japanese practices in together with other, decidedly dodgy Asian markets. I am blessed to live in Nippon and am well-acquainted with the merits of pre-loved luxury shopping here. You can get even better deals when you shop in Japan via online peer to peer platforms (though you do need to be able to read and write in Japanese).

This was such great info.. My mind is soo blown. I myself am very into fashion and I looove luxary bags!. I have a ENORMOUS handbag, clothes,shoe, & jewlery addiction. I myself resell my own on ebay when i want a newer one or if im sick of a bag etc. I also buy ALOT off ebay and I ABSOLUTLY loove ebay!!.. I try telling all my family & gf shop ebay. I find soo many amaaazing steal deals!. However - Ive always been very very worried about buying off china or japan sellers. Reasons being - alot of them charge 20-30$ shipping & YOU HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH TO GET UR ITEM..😱 BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY AND SERISIOULY - IVE HEARD CHINA AND JAPAN AND ARE ALLOWED TO MAKE REPLICA BAGS AND THAT THE SUPER FAKES COME FROM OVER THERE. SOO THAT ALONE HAS ALWAYS TERRIFIED ME FROM BUYING OVER SEAS ON EBAY. YEAS I KNOW ENAY GIVES 100% refunds and TRIST ME IVE HAD TO BE REFUNDED B4 THRU EBAY OVER A FAKE CHANEL BAG I PAID 600$ and ebay was sooo sweet they even refunded my shipping. I just wish ebay would protect the sellers more. Thats my only complaint about ebay. But now that ive seen 1st hand that japan isnt just selling super fakes and actually really know every bag - I WILL DEF. SHOP WITH ~ "BRAND OFF".. other sellers idk yet but this seller 4suuure ill be goin through theyr listings today...!😍😍😍😍 Hopefully I can find a 40cm black birkin for a cheaper price😉.. Actually there are many Japanese online resellers other than Brandoff... you are probably about 10 years behind though, coz these companies became active online on Rakuten many years back and maybe for the past 6 years or so they have popped up on eBay too. Japanese preloved luxury bags are of great quality, better than American preloved ones and at lower prices.
