Her brother and producer wrote a song, Ocean Eyes and had Billie sing it when she was 13. It was for a dance class she was in. They put it on soundcloud for free and it went viral. Shes been around ever since...going on 10 years.

"Ocean Eyes" was written recorded in the bedroom by her and her bother when she was 13 for her dance class and they put it on sound cloud. The rest is music history.

@@kevint.184 that’s such a cool story, I wish I was a good singer lol it’s funny. I am a film television actor and I got my first lead role in a feature film because of a monologue I put on KZbin. I’m obviously not famous or anything though.

Just for your guidance. Two singers tried to classify their first two albums into a genre, and in the end they came to the conclusion that the albums cover over 20 genres. Billie is her own genre. and Birds of the Feader is her poppiest song. 😅

This is not typical Billie sound, as its very poppy. Love took control of her in the video. This song topped 2024 Spotify streams. Too bad you divide men and women artists but glad you checked her out. Billie is a once in a gen talent imo... she and her brother have 19 Grammys.

So, I don't know if this is bad to say but I'm Autistic and I tend to be very good at telling these things (it's even noted in research that we tend to notice people like us) and I feel that he could be. We tend to compartmentalise things into categories and have specific things a specific way, which could explain the separation of artists into groups (male, female, boybands, girlbands, etc...). I could be wrong but I'm not usually 😄

Her being dragged all over is by the persons love. There is a Behind the scenes of the making of this video. She doesn’t usually do straight forward videos. Most of her videos have a deeper meaning to them all. She was 13-14 when she was discovered by singing ocean eyes a song her brother wrote for his band. It was just supposed to be a song that her dancing teacher and class could dance to. There are two versions of the ocean eyes video. One of her just singing and one of them dancing. She tore her growth plate in her hip so she couldn’t dance really anymore so she then started dining more. Her brother is her producer and they write together. She has her EP and the three studio release albums. She is currently 23 years old and her brother is now 27.

Just came over from your 1st RENexperience…. If REN is my male genius… then. BILLIE (& HER BRO FINNEAS) ARE MY GIRL GENIUS… YOU WILL find that like REN, she switches up her sound ALL THE DAMN TIME… you cannot say she’s electro/retro pop…. This is actually part of an “album experience” she didn’t release any singles…. The album was dropped as a 1 conceptual package…. This is the top hit off of it…. You should deep dive her… she’s only 23… and she became famous off a track released when she was 14…. First album 17… she’s only done 3 full albums…. She is AMAZING… her and her brother who has produced ALL HER MUSIC… they are a team…. Though she may start branching out a bit…. Welcome to Billie/Finneas.

You opened the video and paused right away to react to her being ‘poppy’-no need to apologise for that, brother! That’s exactly why I clicked on your video; I enjoy your perspective. I also think the clever edit at the beginning, with her arm movements and ‘unusual’ expressions, is meant to externalise her internal world. To me, it reflects her experience as someone who’s neurodivergent and living with Tourette’s syndrome. It might also symbolise self-love at the start, with the way she moves freely, but being dragged later could represent the weight of others’ love or expectations. I could be completely off, but that’s how I interpreted it!
@stevensmind
@stevensmind 24 күн бұрын
Thank you! I have a mild form of Tourette's myself. I've always suffered with ticks that change over time. I used to jerk my head really hard. Then a hard blink, then I used to make a weird noise I couldn't stop doing it and now I slightly jerk my head subtly and I sniff my nose a lot. It's really frustrating. When I try NOT to do it the urge is only compared to holding your breath where you have to just do it. It's not fun brother. I am right there with you. Thank you for your kind words!
