Although Fujimaru says he was quote on quote "Invited" to Chaldea that couldn't be farther from the truth, In fact Fujimaru is just a regular dude who has NEVER interacted with Mage culture in his entire life and He just so happens to have the all qualities to be a Mage or at least to be a Master and the so-called "invitation" was more of a kidnapping. Chaldea was conducting secret recruitment programs masked as innocent Blood tests all over world in search for any Non Mage individual who could serve as a Master and be sent through Time to fix this dilemma, and Ritsuka was a Perfect Match so the Chaldea agent sent to Japan quite literally Drugged him and took him all the way to Chaldea's HQ which is Located in the Freaking Antarctica, for a normal dude who Just got Kidnapped he's handling this surprisingly well. Sadly, Singularities 1 to 5 (Fuyuki is called Singularity F so technically it isn't included) aren't animated and probably never will because they kinda suffer from a early ultra generic mobile Rpg Writing even the First Movie suffers from this So it shouldn't be a bad idea to Either Play the game on your free time ( or upload it I think we wouldn't mind see your reactions) or Check Out Otaku Dai Kun who explains the lore and the events that happen in the story and SPECIALLY the lore of Grand Servants and Evils of Humanity which are a MASSIVE deal in FGO, although the last one you should wait until finishing Watching the Babylonia anime

@TheBelieveit1 Ordeal Call 2 is very explicitly not his actual history, though. Same as this backstory about how he ended up in Chaldea not being canon to the games and as far as I'm aware doesn't actually show up anywhere beyond a very brief mention. In only one of the manga.

This is just my opnion but i see Arc 1 as a character development for mash but barely for the mc. Only when Arc 1.5 and Arc 2 started that we see a character development for fujimaru/gudao. Its makes me even wonder how they can still see their character as self insert when almost half the time you only have one choice and he even has monologues througout the story.

In FGO things work RADICALLY different. I'll get into details briefly: Masters can contract with more than one Servant due to the instability of the summoning system used in FGO. If a Servant dies, they get summoned again, ready to continue. The command seals are much weaker than they are for the sake of Holy Grail Wars but they regenerate once a day instead of being strictly three uses.

Command spells don't regenerate every day, Fujimaru has to return to Chaldea to refill them, in each singularity he is only given 3 command spells, even in Lost belt.

Isn't that multiple Servant thing explicitly just a Ritsuka exclusive thing? Otherwise the Crypt ers should have all had armies of Servants as well.

And the only reason out Servants don't stay dead is because Rituals is using copies called Shadow Servants in battle rather than the actual Servants themselves. Again, something only Ritsuka has been shown to do and is implied to be unique to him given that characters have expressed surprise at him doing it.

after completing Babylonia and solomon movie i would recommend you watch the lore of fate grand order by otaku dai kun, he goes over all the missed singularities which wore not animated and also all the cut content of the adaption too

Well about servants. You maybe remember their stats? They do actually have a meaning. An E-rank stat means, that it 10 times larger than 'an average human'. An A-rank means 50 times larger. Plus mean occasional double of power-comprasion. Mash Strength is C-rank, meaning that pink-hair girl is 30 times stronger than her master for example. So shield probably doesn't slows her too much. There are 4-5 FGO films yet and 1 series. Glad that you started.

I did rewatched the movie around a month ago and honestly I was genuenly surprised buy its high quality I feel like the reason why there is such a big difference between your experience and mine is that I have read all of FGO (game, mangas, anime, movies, interludes, Events, spin-offs) and am up to date with the last story chapter, which is Ordeal Call II So I appreciate this because I know the details of all these characters, backstories, lore etc.etc. I enjoyed Mash being more cold and inhuman at the start (the movie make it even more clear than the game in the F Singularity), which is how she is supposed to be at the start of the story Olga very problematic and twisted life but with a very good heart deep down (made even better than in the game) Cù being a bro Emiya being an actual antagonist with a cool redesign compared to the game where he appeared once and said just a couple of lines Solomon teasing as the final antagonist etc.etc. And even the animations were surprisingly good So as a FGO fan who know the whole story this movie hit different, it's pretty good But I can see why someone who start the FGO series from here wouldn't feel much about it yet

Story even hints they hold romantic feelings to each other and its even more apparent at the arc 2 of the story cosmos in the lostbelts: lostbelt 6 avalon le fae where he was torn between performing his duty as the last master of chaldea or by finding mash when they ended up separated.

In fact it was confirmed by Nasu that in a serious fight between Cu and Emyia, Emyia would lose and if Cu used Gae Bolgs reverse causality Emyia would have to run before Cu used it or he’d die.

Don't bother thinking too deep into it, not everything has a deep meaning to it. 5:39 - For this movie, only as far as the introduction part of FGO. FGO itself has a LOT of lore. 5:48 - Think your thinking of Heaven's feel, its the first animated adaption of FGO's story parts, and only of FGO part 1. Not counting this one there's three movies and an anime series. 5:59 - She said "at least" 100 years man not only jsut, and you say that like its a short time. It's more a generalized estimate and only regards to the present times calculation of the future, which can change at anytime potentially. 6:43 - There was no group or people named Chaldea in Attack on Titan. Your thinking of the Eldians i'm pretty sure. 7:16 - Sort of but not quite either, its a bit more complicated than that. 7:54 - Sorry, how is that recent? 8:14 - Ki-Ri - light. 9:25 - Well, if compare he's definitely got the largest.....rizz so to to speak, which you'll learn when you get to the Babylonia Anime. 9:37 - Fu - Jee - Ma- Ru which is the last name by the way. 9:47 - Technically Kiritsugu was the main MC of Fate/Zero. 9:57 - Some would call that bias, but he is defnitely unique though its a matter of preference when it comes down to it. 10:04 - He says as he literally just meets her and hears only a single sentence. 10:10 - Its just the angle plus them sitting down, also not students. 10:56 - Its not made clear in this film but he just got out of SIM training before that meeting which made him sleepy beforehand. 11:04 - No he is in fact genuinely sleeping, Ritsuka canonly has a sleeping habit in game. 11:57 - Since you missed it from the looks, that was basically saying Ritsuka unlike other protags, had no involvment or knowledge in magic whatsoever. He is literally a normal civilian who just happened to get pick and otherwise has no magic ability at the start. 12:09 - You might as well ask if we like Fate man. As for Mash, thats something you just have to watch and see for yourself. Not something that can really be answered beyond she's FGO's poster girl. 19:46 - Not according to the giant sphere specifically design to calculate just that. Already forgot that explanation eh? 20:13 - Unimportant details. There isn't smoke and thats all there is to it. 20:56 - To keep her company? You might be expecting too much out of every little instance there. 21:23 - Think its less calm and more resigned. That said, why be surprised? I mean you remember what series this is? 21:51 - Thats entirely up to you, just remember the sacred words, "That's Hell your walking into". 22:51 - Her Class is Shielder, an FGO original of which she is the only one. Though other Servants do qualify for it. 27:46 - You have a......unique idea on what qualifies as a flex. 31:04 - He also cannot hear you, just saying. 31:08 - No dumb more just inexperienced. Remember he knew nothing of magic before this. 33:08 - Because she's toying with her? 35:03 - She's Lancer actually as noted by her weapon. You should probably start referring to her and other Servants by their actual names, in her case she's Medusa. 40:14 - Famous last words. 41:07 - She lacks aptitude and compatibility. 43:44 - Not if you have superhuman strength, just saying. 47:47 - Range and it being fair depends entirely on the Servants in question, so thats not really a factor in this. On that note, Cu Chulainn whether Lancer or Caster has natural advantage against Archer normal thanks to a skill of his. 55:36 - In every universe if the situation isn't actively working against him. Feel like you might be overestimating Archer Emiya/Shirou there. Under normal circumstances Cu Chulainn would win against Archer Emiya/Shirou more times than not, he's both more powerful than them and has a natural advantage too. Cu Chulainn despite what his fight record in FSN might indicate is a powerful Servant. 56:35 - He used a Command Seal to power her if you didn't notice. 58:15 - That's his NP as a Caster, "Wicker Man" its called. 59: 49 - Too late. And my NP5 Grailed Cu says otherwise. 1:03:25 - Yeah but what Lev is talking about is even worse than death, erasure of her whole being. 1:05:44 - What could she have actual done before? She exhausted from fighting Saber. 1:07:04 - No Kirei is a different type of beast altogethor. Feel you might be defaulting to comparisons a bit too much there. 1:07:59 - It is since its keeping them alive which is the point. They can't run out either so thats the best option while waiting to be rayshifted back. The other animated adaptions are the two Camelot movies, the Babylonia Anime, and the Grand Temple of Time Solomon movie. You can do Camelot and Babylonia in any order you want, but Solomon is definitely best saved for last.

finally something good. Chaldea was a real country like 2700 years ago in mesopotemia/babylonia/modern day Iraq. Emiya's outfit is the same just without the red cloak. Thats not gudako lmao, gudako is not here, we call the female protagonist as Gudako, they used the male protagonist instead for the anime. Rider is Darius the third, the persian king who was one of the most famous opponents of Alexander the great and was ultimately defeated

If u haven’t noticed already this anime is just an ad for the mobile game. 23:06 I especially hate how they didn’t even spare any effort to animate caladbolg cocking back. Instead they had some generic looking ass sword turn into it out of no where with lazy computer graphics. Like I’m watching fairy tail or some shii, needless to say fgo adaptations suck & my type-moon essay playlist agrees. Trust me I could rant all day about the animation alone much less the way they handle the story.

It will never be given to anyone else. Its a neutral class that has No advantage or disadvantage, making it the perfect 'starter' and also making new Shoulders would practically make Mash functionally worthless cuz its really her only gimmick.
