@@saltyfish7626 with s1 being volume 1-3, s2 being 4-6, s3 being 7-9, s4 being 10-11 and 14, and the movie being 13-14, all there is left to adapt is 15-16. Also supposedly because maruyama got mad with fan translations of the evileye side story there is only going to be 18 volumes, so adapting it when there is 17 volumes would make no sense, so given that we have to wait for 2 more volumes to release and then for the studio to pick it up again, I would say there is a long time till another season.

17:30 They didnt exactly "choose" the music since all of them were made for the show. Also something i point out in every reaction: All 8 songs were made by 6 people! (and unnamed producers for the 4th ED). OP 1,2 and 4 are sung by OxT (pronounced as Hokuto). One Member, Tom-H@ck, decided to make a new Group to help young talent learn the ways of the industry etc. and thus came about Myth&Roid with their debut single "L.L.L" which is the first ED for Overlord sung by Mayu Maeshima who later came back as a solo artist for ED 4. ED 2 and OP 3 are sung by their current singer: kiHow.

Obviously, I love every single one of these songs, but I have a special place in my heart for ed 4. Once you know the story behind the skeleton man at the end there (the lyrics talk about him, just fyi), the song just leaves you with a kind of melancholy and sadness.

I can't say this in any other way but any MYTH & ROID or Mayu Maeshima (used to be a singer in MYTH & ROID) songs are the best. If you do react to Re:Zero openings and endings you're gonna hear her more. There are some other shows she's sung for as well, but that's for another time. Love the damn show too. Oh, and the other guys singing sometimes, OxT, they are good too. Edit: Ending 2 never fails to give me goosebumps.

Yo, if you ever decide to watch Overlord, then i recommend you to also watch it in English or German dub. (Since you're Austrian, i just kind of assume you speak and understand Hochdeutsch) This is one of the rare cases where all languages are a unique experience, while still getting the same points across. It's an immerisve isekai - set in a near future where 'Deep Dive Immersion' (VR on Steroids basically) has become a staple of the gaming industry - that almost immediately comes to terms with the futility of going back to the 'old world' and embracing that new responsibilities await in the 'new world', while the main character still tries to cope with the fact that he might never see his best friends ever again. Now, over to the dubs: The English dub features a really great cast, some of the best casting since Hellsing Ultimate (if you've ever watched that), and especially the VA for the MC is overwhelmingly good. And then, the special one, German. The German dub features some really great VA's, but the script and voice for the main character can feel a bit... off at times. However, it's not bad, it's just that he was written in a much more comedic manner and spoken by someone who uses a gruff voice that lends a certain inherent vulgarity to his manner of speaking. Of course, some of the English vernacular, as well as most Japanese names can sound very forced when spoken by a german. The MC is kinda written like this almost stereotypical "Hauptschul-Jobber", Pretty much perfectly in character, though laid on a bit thick. He is rather vulgar, using slang in most of his sentences that would fit the whole aesthetic of who he is as a person. He adapts a very personal way of speaking, making him stand out from the rather stifling japanese honorific and the lordly tone he adapts in the english adaptation this also makes this version of him feel slightly more comedically inept than the others. HOWEVER, during the times where he actually has to be full-on serious, or even outright bloody mad, he is REALLY good. Stefan Kaminski, good man. (Though, i honestly wouldn't mind hearing Tilo Schmitz voice the MC, if he was supposed to be played in a more 'lordly' fashion.) TL;DR I really recommend watching Overlord, even the dubs! It can get funny, it can be wholesome and it can also be horrendously dark and absolutely evil. It's a WIN-WIN!

Overlord is about a guy who was the leader of a guild in an mmorpg but the game servers shut down after 12 years and most of the players leaving. The main character role played as basically a lich king. When the servers shut down the MC and his guild hall were transported to a completely different world/universe on a planet different from earth. This world is a typical fantasy world. The MC was turned into an actual lich and all the npcs in the guild hall came to life as real beings. The MC was the guild leader and last member of his guild still playing the game. But this world is not the game he played or earth. It's a completely different universe.

I would recommend actually reading the novel instead of watching the anime, dont get me wrong the anime is still an imense banger, but the novels dive so much deeper into the characters and the brutal reality of that world. The Anime and Manga are actually kinda tame compared to what the novel describes.
