At least 15 pounds of big head minnows and a few hundred small 1-2 inch blue gills and don’t add no more bass until you see a change in the ones already in the pond I just bought some land with a small pond with a fresh dig pond last spring I added 200+ breeder bluegill and 20 pounds of big head minnows and have no plans to add anything else until next year when I see proof of spawning from the bluegill

You need to reach out to a pond management company. Build the forage base. Throw in some shad, shiners, craws, and even freshwater shrimp since you’re in Texas. Bluegills being the only thing the bass seem to stalk, will limit your growth.

I like your pond management ideas but I have a question. I live in a place where live crawfish are banned but everything else you mentioned is legal. Is there a substitute for craws that you know of? Your quote: (You need to reach out to a pond management company. Build the forage base. Throw in some shad, shiners, craws, and even freshwater shrimp since you’re in Texas. There is probably only 10,000 hatcheries in Texas within a few miles from you. Pond management is all about fish per acre and PH level of your water. PH level might be the problem in that stained pond.

Maybe you can find some little baby copperheads to use for bait. Before KZbin when we had to read about fishing or watch Championship Fishing with Virgil Ward using a Beetle Spin on b&w tv. Well anyway back then there was a story about a kid using baby rattlesnakes in western South Dakota and catching big trout like crazy. It said that they aren't as poisonous as babys. Feeding your giant bass baby snakes would get lots of new subs on KZbin.
