All you have to hear is the piccolo snare and you automatically know it's 311!! Love their sound and this is a jam. I crank it up every time it's on.

311 has been consistent over the years with their unique fusion of rock, rap and reggae. Personally I love it that they mix things up so much. A review I once read said they do “hard rock riffs with relaxed grooves.” And that’s true. Overall they keep it positive and tight.

311 are the master mixers. Hip hop, funk, reggae, punk, metal, cali beach, jazz. You can hear it hear - heavy metal guitar riffs but also a guitar doing the traditional reggae guitar pick at times and the drummer going dance hall reggae style. Stax would like Come Original.

311 has 311 Day which used to be in NOLA on March 11 each year. They have also done 311 cruises through the Caribbean. Their lead singer owned an island off of Florida for a while. They have a huge fanbase built from their live shows. They are pretty positive and fun with a great vibe. A great early song from them, Unity, is what got me into them. It's from their first album, Music.

Did anyone forget what drugstore cowgirls and cowboys were? In the 90s when you could still buy a bunch of the 24 hr cough medicine. The cough medicine was part of the meth making process. The drugstore cowgirls went pharmacy to pharmacy rounding up the pills for the cook
