It should be a crime to listen to hip hop music ain’t have no knowledge of old school music. Especially rap music. You’re suppose to treat rap like sports. You gotta know the legends of the game you play, it’s apart of history. That’s like 90s and early 2000s kids having no knowledge of 80s rap or r&b.

I love 50. Probably sounds like Til I Collapse to you because Eminem produced both of them. He's got a pretty distinctive production style. I love this 'voice'. He raps this way from about 2000-2006. Still angry, not long out of poverty and drugged up. Have you done Many Men by 50 yet? Superman by Eminem? Nice reaction guys :)

@@jackm4536 MMLP? Maybe it was a transitional period. MMLP was pretty angry, but after he got arrested he really started taking more about guns and stuff especially in features which was 2000. The heavier tone he uses probably was when he started beefing with everyone and their mother so yeah that was 2002ish.

The beauty of Get Rich or Die Trying is the vast majority of what 50 was saying was pure direct, very few metaphors or similes that rappers usually get praised for. 50 was so good with his whole flow, image, demeanour, he didn't have to rely on gimmicky metaphors and reading-between-the-lines type rhymes. People say 50s not lyrical, he can be at times, but it's really because he just raps direct and he didn't need any metaphors or slick bars at the start of his career, as evidence I'd by selling over 10 mill. It was raw. When you think about it, makes sense that would resinate, when he comes across as so reap and it's believable what he's saying, and the fact that most of us when we talk day to day, we don't talk in codes or metaphor, so it's more relatable in that way. Also easier to understand because there's nothing to go over your head If you want to hear 50 get lyrical check out "Death To My Enemies", "Psycho" & "Shut Your Bloodclot Mouth"
