Yes Eminem “discovered” 50cent 50 was slated to be the next big rapper out. He was signed to a major, had an album complete and had a feature with JLo ready for release….and then he infamously got shot 9 times. They dropped him from the label, replaced his verse off the JLo record and basically left him for dead. 50 came back and flooded the streets with mixtapes that featured songs of him and Gunit dissing Murder Inc and Ja Rule (who were being funded by Supreme, 50’s ex boss that put the hit on him) No Major would touch him and all the hiphop labels were warned by Irv Gotti signing 50 would mean no relationship with them (Ja and Murder Inc were huge at the time) So 50 was essentially black balled in the industry. Enter Marshall Mathers who is sitting in the Throne of HipHop, back to back diamond albums (10xplatinum) had just filmed a movie and the soundtrack was coming out. He put “Wanksta” on the soundtrack and shortly after signed 50cent. We only get the masterpiece “Get Rich or Die Tryin” because of Em and everything that comes with his Team. That means Dre production, features from Eminem, Snoop and Nate Dogg the latter two which were released as singles. Eminems biggest lesson from Dre was, take a chance on an artist you truly believe in like Dre did with Em. Eminem did that even against the wishes of Dre who didnt want the street shit coming back into his life (the reason why he left Death Row)

Nah do some research bud. Jam Master Jay. Discovered 50. 50 had a whole rap career before Eminem. He was signed to Columbia records. Getting ready to put out Power Of A Dollar, until he got a shot. The whole industry knew who 50 was. The streets and New York knew who 50 was. As a rapper. He had a lot of hype in the 90’s. Jay dissed him in the 90’s so did Big Pun, before Em even put out his debut album. After 50 got shot and the whole industry was afraid of messing with 50 Em wasn’t and I give him credit for that. BUT he did not discover 50, 50 already had a buzz years prior 50 had mad music prior to shady. Shady just put the backing when everyone else was afraid to. And the rest is history. I give credit to where credit is due.

@@jwood8769 I know 50 was poppin before he knew em . He was doing mixtapes and all that. On the other hand because of em's backing on the get rich or die tryin , he hit the commercial success otherwise he would have been a underground rapper . Dre didn't want to work with him coz he upset other rappers which led to him getting shot. that's why in the fall em says bought the world 50 cent . if Eminem haven't supported him , 50 would not have existed commercially

I adore you guys and your reactions. I'm 52 and grew up in the Michael Jackson era. While I think Eminem is The Goat of rap, MJ is The King Of Pop and would love for you guys to react to one song, two videos. Michael Jackson's They don't care about us. The Brazil version and the prison version. Have a great one and look foy to more reactions 😜
