I secretly played music from my phone her last 30 days cuz I finally had to put her under 24 hr care. She previously went to daycare while I worked. She’d smile tap her hands and feet😊 Just remember she Remembers You deep down. God Bless and Good Luck

I'll never understand why ABBA gets so much hate, the vocals are A+ and the music is so creative and impactful. They're an incredible band and anyone who says otherwise is dumb or lying. They have such a good mix of powerhouse emotional songs and fun dance songs.

It's hard to imagine the global phenomenon that was ABBA. They appealed to people in every nation. If anyone says they don't like Abba? They're lying. Secretly, they love em. Everyone has a favourite Abba song. I love them all, and G G G is no exception. Abba never allowed their music to be sampled, that is until Madonna approached them with a demo, they listened, approved and so Hung Up was recorded by Madonna. She included the intro/hook you liked so much, and did it great justice. It's very well worth looking into 💜

I think you have mostly reacted to songs where Agnetha sings lead. To get more of the many sides of the group, a song with Frida singing lead would be good. I suggest "Fernando" or "Knowing Me, Knowing You". Both ladies have amazing voices but as you have commented, it is when they sing together - that's the best. Fans call it the "third voice" because you're right, they do sound like one person. After you hear a Frida lead song, then move on to one of the songs which is all "third voice". That should be "Dancing Queen".

This was from Abba’s disco album. It features the only track they ever recorded outside of Sweden - in USA, with American session musicians. (Ultimately they weren’t happy with the result and returned home for the rest). The fluty synth hook was sampled by Madonna for her ”Hung Up” - the only time they ever gave the green light for a sample. In terms of sales, Abba are up there with your Beatles and Elvis Presleys. In terms of impact and influence on pop music they are also up there. They were ridiculed by the critics at the time, but these days they are given their due. In the US too, although they only had one number one there, (Dancing Queen). Rock'n'roll Hall of Famers. Required listening: Dancing Queen, The Winner Takes It All, Summer Night City, When All Is Said And Done, Take A Chance On Me, Does Your Mother Know, SOS, Mamma Mia, Slipping Through My Fingers, The Visitors, Head Over Heels, Waterloo, One Of Us, Super Trouper. For starters.

@@sloebone7399Yes indeed In the USA Abba had 4 top 10 from 1974-1981/82 and quite enough top 20/40 hit singles.Songs that people still remember sing and dance even there. In there the music press had a quite hostile face against those Swedish outsiders. But rest of the world had countless No1's top 5 and top 10's.Their record sales raised eyebrows cause were "phenomenal" as lots of non predjudiced critics were also reporting at the time. And all this achievement without being such a household name in the States, cause of less touring and different culture. So that was ok by them and for all of us living in the rest of the world that were buiyng their records in huge amounts ,and turned them out to be massive and for a very long time, until their unofficial break up.

ABBA consists of 2 married couples. I can no longer say who was married to whom, but they were married until the early 80's. ABBA was invited to a German show in the 1970s. They had to cancel after receiving ransom notes threatening their children to be kidnapped. So they made a live broadcast, which was something very special back then. ABBA is as well known in Europe as Michael Jackson is. Just so you have a relationship. And even in Japan ABBA is a big name. I recommend ABBA's songs "The day before you came", "San Fernando" and "Thank you for the music". Warning: you may need a handkerchief.

Björn is one of the guys, Benny (on piano) is the other guy, Agnetha is the blond, and Anne-frid (Frida) the red-brown haired girl. A-F is famous for her range and Agnetha for her high notes. Cheers Adam from Sweden, I have seen this group many times and the ladies are very nice privatley too, the guys not so much.

ABBA (Agnetha & Bjorn - Benny & Anni-frid) was a Swedish pop group consisting of two married couples that were active from 1972 to 1982. They wrote and produced their own songs, and are considered one of the progenitors of the modern pop music we have today. They disbanded after their respectives divorces. The two guys (Benny & Bjorn) started to work in musicals in London which culminate in "Mamma Mia!" (1999) a musical entirely based on ABBA's greatest hits, and that became one the most successful musicals of all time, they later turned the musical into movies (Mamma Mia 1 & 2) and immersive dining experiences (Mamma Mia The Party).

The sounds you heard were from a synthesizer. Synthesizers recreate musical instruments electronically. Company named Moog manufactured the some of the first ones (back in the late 70's) Today, the synthesizers are so accurate you may believe it's a real human playing a real flute, oboe, clarinet, violin, the list goes on and on.

This is true and very well said, girl.Benny used a lot of Moog back then. Some of the songs had This very characteristic sound such as in SOS where he used a mini moog.He was a keyboard freak, totally self taught.

Ok, someone please explain to me what the ramifications or possible negative response I would get if I sent her a man at 11pm or 11:52? I realize that she specifically wants a man after midnight, but why be so picky, if she gets a man before her specific time of after midnight, I can't see where it will matter? Any ideas?

If you want look for the full audio version - it has a overly funky instrumental middle part added. This was the hight of the Disco time (think some of the biggest BeeGees songs), and Abba suited it completely

Yet another great ABBA song. The multiple keyboards you heard was a synthesizer. A great instrument that could emulate many different keyboard and percussion instruments . This video showed ABBA in the studio , where they were perfectionists in recording and mixing music and vocals. Yet another reason they were so great. I love watching the ladies record together. They seem to be enjoying themselves immensely.

Abba were masters of different types of music tracks, recording techniques - i.e in the same way Richard Carpenter utilised the technology and tools of the time to create that extra sound, so did they. You have so much Abba richness still to discover!

Hi Lovelies! 🤗 Pretty sure you're yet to react to *The Name Of The Game, Dancing Queen,* & *Take a Chance On Me* - absolute _bangers_ all - I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Top tip - tune in to the bass line in ABBA's songs. The late *Rutger Gunnarsson,* while not an official member of ABBA, was an extraordinary and regular addition to their rich wall of sound.
