Brand new singer of the group on this album after their front man died months prior. This song was actually written in memory of Bon Scott (the prior frontman who passed) True story. Bon Scott saw Brian Johnson here, at a bar one night singing with his former band. He went back to his band and told them if anything ever happened to him he wanted Brian Johnson to replace him. And here we have Part two of AC/DC because Bon Scott was bad ass also. To me a huge AC/DC fan they're a tie. It's not easy to find even bigger success for so many years after your lead singer dies. Well AC/DC defied those odds. And still rock today

FUN FACT: That "scream- singing" that Brian does is what caught the attention of AC/DC's original lead singer Bon Scott a couple years before he passed. Bon had been in a club one night and saw Brian Johnson (lead singer) performing with his band Geordie. Later on, Bon Scott (original lead singer 1974- 1980) told Angus Young and his brother Malcolm about it. Angus Young is lead guitar and Malcom Young was co-lead/rhythm guitar (passed 2017). Bon told the brothers that he had seen this guy singing in a club and he was really good. Bon went on to tell them how the singer at the end, dropped to the floor on stage and was screaming. Bon loved the "Act". Brian Johnson took over as lead singer after Bon unexpectedly/tragically passed in 1980. In an interview a few years ago Angus and his brother Malcolm were telling that story and Brian Johnson laughed and said, "It wasn't an act". He was having an appendicitis attack and fell to the floor in pain, but just kept singing/screaming!! He was brought to the hospital after that gig and had to have an emergency Appendectomy that night!! Talk about FATE!!! As far as Angus goes.... He's the real star of AC/DC and fans worship him at their concerts. Check out more of their Live performances at River Plate and you'll see what I mean. The guy is a LEGEND and a good human being all around! Love seeing the AC/DC love here.... Rock on!! :)

The amazing thing about Brian Johnson's singing voice is when you hear him speaking. You'd never guess he could do that. So sad that a couple of years ago, he was told he couldn't do any more live shows because if he did, he'd lose his hearing. Thankfully, they've recently produced another album and Brian still sounds great on it. My friend, if you want your socks blown off, you need to react to their 2009 gig at The River Plate, Argentina. The Back in black album was the first album with Brian Johnson as the vocalist after the bands original vocalist Bon Scott passed away RIP. The band was cofounded by brothers Malcolm Young (base guitarist) and Angus Young (lead guitarist). The band has over 20 albums produced and are known for non stop world touring and delivering live shows that have the crowds jumping from start to finish. Their stage setup and presence are second to none. I was lucky enough to go to the 1996 Ball breaker tour in Sydney and couldn’t hear for the next 2 days hahaha it was fantastic. They have just released a new album ‘Power Up’ and there is talk of another tour. This new album is a tribute to Malcom Young who passed in recent years. Brian Johnson is now in his early 70’s while the rest of the band members are in their late 60’s and they are still rocking hard. Another Aussie band whose singer uses the same vocal skill is Cold Chisel. The singers name there is Jimmy Barnes.

In case you didn't know, the 2 guitarists are brothers, Malcom and Angus. Angus is in the school boy outfit. Their older sister suggested he wear it on stage. Angus would come home from school and start practicing guitar without changing out his school clothes. The brothers, who were born in Scotland but were raised in Sydney Australia, started the band when they were teenagers in 1973. Their older brother George sang in the 60's group The Easybeats and helped them get started.

For the tl;dr Two brothers formed a band down under in '73 & rocked so hard. Angus Young wore the schoolboy uniform while shredding the devil out of his fingertips in the spotlight, while his brother Malcolm right behind him being a legend. Bon Scott was a "Rocker" through and through, with so much drip the had to travel the world to show it off. Bon died as he lived and Brian Johnson came in with this as his eulogy. I have to correct comment that someone left: Angus does not wear the uniform because he was told he would never amount to anything, which is wrong he wears it because his sister (Margaret) suggested it and said that wearing his old school uniform would make him memorable. Malcolm his brother agreed and also felt that people would remember a kid up on stage playing the guitar than him in regular clothes. The first uniform that he wore was the one he wore to school and they wore them so that they would all look the same and no one would be viewed as rich or poor. When discussing the band’s name (Malcolm & Angus) noticed the AC/DC symbol (alternating current /direct current) on their sister Margaret’s sewing machine. They decided to replace the forward slash with the lightning bolt and felt that the meaning of AC/DC was exactly who they were as it described their power and passion. Angus’s performs the way he does because he tripped on stage once and didn’t want to be embarrassed in front of the crowd and he started shaking his head while playing and he continued to this day to perform like that. I grew up on their music as my brothers and their friends were all wrestlers and they would blast all their songs out of the wrestling room when they worked out or were preparing for competition. It was also the best music to sit around the park or go dragging around the main strip; everybody was playing this music, what memories.

There aren’t any “wack” songs😂😂😂😂. There are 17 albums spanning over 5 decades. This album was their first with this singer Brian Johnson as a tribute to Bon Scott who had passed away. My guess your next song should be Let There Be Rock.

that is his actual voice. the band heard it when he pretty much interviewed to join, and they snagged him. he was, and still is perfect for them. ACDC, best thing to come from Australia since the Crock Hunter.

Jarod, so glad to see you enthralled with the band I have enjoyed for most of my life. The MADMAN on the lead guitar is Angus Young, in all three of the concerts of theirs I have been to, Angus comes on the stage in his Aussie school boy uniform (a theme of theirs) and goes off the stage in just his shoes and shorts, completely covered in sweat. That band puts it out there on the stage every freaking time, whether 100,000+ fans or 10,000 fnas - they never disappoint.

This is the best band ever. I have been listening to them since the day they started. I'm not a concert goer but a few years ago my son's bought me tickets for my birthday. I can now die. Best thing anyone has ever done for me. I knew you would be a fan when I watched your first video. I seen your head start bobbing before you even knew.

Love them both Brian Johnstone (here) and the former lead singer Bon Scott before he passed - I grew up my teenage years mostly listening to Bon Scott but both are good

Listening to them since their 1st singer, in 1976, Bon Scott. Bought this Album in 1980, and my friends band started playing all their songs. Music I've rocked to for over 45 years. Yeah, my generation kicks Ass. ;)

Brilliant! This is the sound of danger! In the early 80s, was 15 years when I saw AC/DC in chicago with my friends. We knew every word to every song and rocked all night. Angus mooned us! 🌕 It was the Back in Black Tour soon after Bon Scott died. Sooooo FUN! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
