According to Angus, Bon Scott chose Brian himself as a replacement! Brian was playing with his band Geordi ( I think that’s how you spell it...) and Bon said “ That guy would be who I would want to replace me.” At least according to what Angus wrote in some album liners in that reissue of Back in Black back in the earlier 2000s.
@sebastianchavez5774 жыл бұрын
@@johnbutler5650 I don’t remember Angus saying that anecdote, it’s a popular one people talk about but I don’t know if it’s been confirmed by the band. The one that I know is true for sure is the one where Bon saw Brian and Geordie at a show and thought he did a good job and towards the end of his life, he told the guys that he remembered when he was with Fraternity, he saw this guy in England performing and Bon praised him for his voice. The guys remembered that because Bon never praised anyone like that so they figured that he couldn’t be too bad if Bon was himself a fan. Later on, Mutt Lange said that he got a letter from some guy in Cleveland recommending the same Englishman and so the band took the hint and tracked down Brian. Rest is history
@johnbutler56504 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianchavez577 I was going strictly from the liner notes of the rerelease of “ Back in Black “( I think ) . There is a quote attributed to Angus saying that Bon like Brian, etc. I have never heard Angus say that in an actual interview, so it could be just “ rock mythology “.

Angus Young could say more with a rest than most guitarists could say with a 32 bar solo. That’s one of the things I love about this band.

Just for sex,drugs, rock and roll, you gotta react to Motley fucking Crue. Start with Kick start my heart. BTW.. when concerts come back, you gotta go !! The energy is unreal. I love your reaction kiddo. I love it when people expand their views of music beyond what they've grown up with. My dad loves this song and Thunderstruck and he's 87, and my son's introduced me to Metallica, so music carries the generations. ;) Love your reactions. Oh I'm 59.

5:55 "I'm not a rock fan." lol You aren't a rock fan until you listen to rock. :) For AC/DC I'd have to recommend Hell's Bells.
