When Bon Scott was lead AC/DC's sound was more raw, which I liked more than the later songs. Let There Be Rock is a fun song featuring Bon Scott. I like Big Balls too, but that seems to be a forgotten song as far as reactions go.

A couple things, AC/DC before 1980, has a completely different sound, because of Bon Scotts voice, and much more of a dirty blues sound mixed with early rock edge, and less of that cookie cutter hard rock sound they ended up having from the Back in Black album, forward. Their first 6 albums are sooo worth checking out. You will be convinced of Angus Youngs talent as a blues guitarist after hearing songs like Night Prowler or Ride On (album versions). You will be blown away!

Brian Johnson deserves much love and respect for continuing the legacy of our beloved Bon Scott, bless you all members of AC/DC for giving us such great music.

This is Bon Scott singing. He died in 1980. (Alcohol/drugs) Brian Johnson took over from there. Quite a big rabbit hole

Early AC/DC was great. I have never been a fan of heavier rock, but in the Bon days they put out some great songs that also had strong commercial appeal. Eg Jailbreak, TNT, High Voltage, Highway To Hell, Dirty Deeds, Its A Long Way To The Top. Great times. It was sonsad when Bon died.

The vocalist/singer in the music video Jailbreak was Bon Scott, AC/DC’s previous singer, he passed away in 1980 because of alcohol. Them AC/DC found a new singer called Brian Johnson, the one you heard today! Different singer

AC/DC released 10 albums and 1 EP before Bon Scott Died in 1980. Brian Johnson took over after that and has been singing for them for 41 years now. Definitely 2 different voices/sounds but still the great sound/formula that is AC/DC!!!!!! I think Bon Scott was the best but I love Brian as well!!!!! So use 1980 when reflecting/listening to their music with who was the lead singer!!!!! You have a lot of catching up hombre!!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!! 🎸🎸🎸🎸😎🍸

Never knew Bon wrote this inspired by Chopper. Chopper did get 16 years but not for murder. He actually jumped the dock at a Melbourne court with a shotgun put it to the Judge's head taking him hostage demanding his mate Jimmy Loughnin be realesed from prison, of course it didn't work but this really happened. Also the escape plan was much more brutal Chopper and Jimmy were in a gang war with the Painters n Dockers in prison , Chopper proposed they take a guard hostage , still the keys, lock all the cells and stab all their enemies to death. Jimmy understandably thought this was a bit extreme even for Chopper and turned on him stabbing him. Probably a bit hard to make a song out of that. BTW i remember i was 6 years old when this was released on Countdown a Aussie top of the pops style show if you will who bankrolled this film clip and the legendary Long way to the top clip.

When this song came out ACDC were a poor working band living hand to mouth. They had no money for video clips which were a new thing back then. This was made for a few hundred bucks in a local quarry.
