They knew the game well, they had the best teachers.Great production great tune.A 10 out of 10.A classic for all eras. Many of todays songwritters can;t write such a decent tune.

Nice reaction. Such a fun high energy song, one of their best. Something that I don't think you get, or can fully realize (although can't fault you for this) is that unless you heard it when it first came out, you won't understand that there was nothing to compare it to at the time. Like when you're saying it's such a 2000s song... actually no, it's the songs that came after and took inspiration from songs like Beautiful Life that were 2000 songs. Ace of Base brought these sounds years before in the mid-90s.

Songs to react to from Ace Of Base would also be Don't Turn Around ( huuuge hit worldwide in 1994) Wheel Of Fortune and Happy Nation ( no singles in the US but big particularly in Europe and a bit more experimental and darker from their early days) Living In Danger Lucky Love Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry Life Is A Flower Then there's loads and loads of amazing albumtracks as well.

Ace of Base were so far ahead of their time. They always had such a unique sound and brought heavy high quality production… and this one I remember being a world wide club banger. Massive global hit at the time. Thanks for the reaction!

Yeah, they were literally ahead of their time cause they thought it was a 2000 era song lol

yeah agreed, these should be next. Less generic, more experimental. Shame Marissa did not see All That She Wants, either.

Nice, great start to another tangent! Ace of Base have done a bunch of great jams, "The Sign" and "All That She Wants" are few of their most popular.

Actually it's the 90's, 1995 to be precise Ace of Base were about done by the time the 2000's came along...This is actually one of my fav AOB songs...(not videos) outside of "Beautiful Morning" which is off of their last album "Da Capo" which I feel musically was their best out of all their albums, which was released in 2002.

Your thoughts on this being very 2000s is humorous, especially compared to Mafonna's Ray Of Light. The reason is because Beautiful Life came out in in 1995, 3 years before Ray Of Light.

Watched this on muchmusic (Canada) and this was long before the 21st century. The EU still. seemed a good idea. Lots of travel and music. The Iron Curtain fell not long before and hopes for peace around the world seemed very likey. It was a happier era. Plus Europeans love their football (soccer).

One of my top five best songs by Ace of Base it definitely is ranked eight or nine in my book it's got everything great vocals piano chorus and was a big hit for them I have one complaint on the video though what does a fight in a bar makes it a wonderful Life I think that's very strange to include that in the video I don't get it the 12-inch extended version of this is incredible you should listen to it sometime it might change your mind
