I love all Aerosmith, but you really need to react to their 70's music. Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Dream On, Back In The Saddle, Train Kept a Rollin just to name just a few. The brunette is actress Liv Tyler, who is Steven Tyler's daughter. Liv was in Lord Of the Rings and Armageddon to name a few.

This song was very popular because of the novelty of having actress alicia Silverstone. And Steven Tyler's real life daughter liv Tyler in it. as steven had only recently confessed to her that he was her dad. And he helped her choreograph some of her dance moves to mimic his. Even more remarkable is that liv has built a phenomenal career despite being dyslexic including being an accomplished pro horse rider who performed her own horse riding stunts in the lord of the rings movies and sustained a facial laceration doing one of them.

Liv Tyler (Steven Tyler’s daughter) was in two of Aerosmith’s videos (Crazy and I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing). Liv starred in the movie Armageddon, which I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing was on the soundtrack. Steven didn’t know his daughter was the Crazy video until he saw saw the final version of the video. Alicia Silverstone was in 3 of their videos (Crazy, Cryin, and Amazing) aka The Aerosmith Trilogy. This video came out in 1994.

Alicia Silverstone wasn't a known actress at the time. This is one of three Aerosmith videos she was the main character in during this time period, so she was mainly known as the "Aerosmith video girl" before she broke out with the movie Clueless. The last little bit with the guy in the parachute was a funny easter egg reference to another Alicia Silverstone Aerosmith video called "Amazing." At the time, the Silverstone videos were in this order: "Cryin" "Amazing" and "Crazy." They reference each other.

I was so glad to hear you say you prefer to hear the studio version first because that’s the way we originally heard it. I’ve seen so many reactions that made me cringe because the reactor just had to watch a concert version, or the official video which was distracting because the visual part is from a movie and really has nothing to do with the lyrics. There are some concert versions which are great but it’s best to be familiar with the studio version first. On rare occasions it’s best to go straight to the concert version. Having said that, I think the first time I heard Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” was in the ending credits for the movie Armageddon. As many others have commented, the brunette in “Crazy” is the daughter of Steven Tyler, the lead singer. She played Bruce Willis’s daughter in Armageddon. For the song they showed clips from the movie with images of Steven in place of Bruce. It was very touching, especially after watching the movie. I would actually recommend watching the movie if you haven’t, and then maybe skip the credits so you can react to the official video. The song is a beautiful ballad and the movie is great.
