Hi Diane! Aerosmith was huge in the 70s, but then they got all drugged out. They got sober in the 80s and put out a new version of their 70s clasic song "walk this way" but they also featured the rap group Run DMV. The song was a huge hit and helped launch Run DMC to stardom, and revitalized Aerosmith and gave them a second successful run. Boop!

Love these reactions, Irish Girl! Aerosmith were huge in my high school days and college years. Known as the Bad Boys from Boston, they were the ones our parents warned us about! Their success led to their rampant alcohol & drug use: the typical Rock 'n Roll lifestyle. While I've heard this song countless times, never had seen the video before; a wee bit cringy, considering it was ST's daughter, but helped to launch Liv's acting career. It's all in the perspective, I suppose. To me, this was late Aerosmith. I remember listening to Aerosmith's music when I was a kid around 11 or 12 years old in 1974-75. The number of Spotify plays shows that the band's most listened to song is from 1973. Everyone has their favorite song, of course. However, I think the most anticipated song that closes their shows out is "Walk This Way" from 1975. Keep up the good work, Diane. I always like to see things from a different perspective.

Saw Aerosmith in the late 70s in Philly during their “Heroin Period.’ Tyler fell over on stage, but managed to pull the mike down with him & tried to keep singing. They were basically booed off the stage, one band member came back out and started cussing out the audience and was hit by a one in a million shot of a tossed empty Jim Beam bottle. Good times!

Yes, they were formed in the 70's and were big in the 80's. However, they were on their way out of popularity in the mid-80's until their music career was revived with the release of "Dude Looks Like A Lady" in 1986 featuring Run DMC. I would venture to say that not only did they make Run DMC a successfull rap group, but they also peaked in the 90's and made many cameos in movies, music awards shows, and other live performances through the 2000's. They were in Wayne's World 2, features in the soundtrack for Armageddon, and Taylor even made a cameo in the TV series Two and a Half Men and performed a duet with Carrie Underwood in one awards show (clip available on KZbin).

Both actresses dropped out. 😖😖 AS has not starred in many major movies or TV shows since the 1990s. Meanwhile, RS has. 👩🎤 Some tracks were recorded in Little Mountain ⛰ Studios in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦. Produced by the late Bruce Fairbairn, RIP. Desmond Child wrote hit songs in the 1980s with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry and recorded them in that same studio referred earlier. Also, Child, Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora wrote hit songs in the same years and recorded in the same studio with the same producer.
