Have you watched aespa's "aespa 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video yet? If not, you should check it out. It's the first episode of aespa's drama and it explains in more detail about aespa's storyline. It will help you to understand aespa's whole concept and story better. The 5th animated character you see in "Savage" is Naevis who is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world -- kind of like the site administrator -- so that is why you see aespa say, "My naevis we love you" several times in the "Savage" lyrics, because they are thanking naevis for looking out for them, protecting them and doing all they can to prevent and eliminate the Black Mamba hacker. Which is why in the lyrics of "Next Level" they say, " My Naevis ... where you lead we follow," etc., because they trust Naevis to protect them from the Black Mamba and protect the virtual word, etc. I think in "Savage" aespa is under the Black Mamba hacker's control and they are gearing up to fight the Black Mamba in order to gain back control and to connect with their avatars once again. Often, when characters within SM MVs have blue eyes or different eye colors this usually is an indication that that person isn't themselves, i.e. they aren't who we think they are. It is thought to be used to show that they are a clone or alter ego, etc., under the control of an evil force. I think the eye you see in the MV has something to do with the Black Mamba because it looks like a serpent's eye. I think it might be what the Black Mamba hacker uses to spy on everything and to keep in control, which is why Winter shoots the eye in order to destroy it. And I also think it's connected to the eye we see in other SM MVs, such as EXO Lay's solo "Namanana" MV and EXO Kai's "Mmmh" MV, and maybe even the eye symbol and closeup of the dragon's eye in Lay's solo "Lit" MV. The eyes all look slightly different, but I think they are supposed to be a symbol that connects something within the larger storyline of SM's SM Culture Universe. (Maybe a metaphor for how "big brother" government is always watching us, and is always in control behind the scenes, etc.)

Briefly, NingNing is a Chinese girl winning one singing contests after another in China at her tender age of 9-10 yo. & was caught by the.Kpop scouter( it took her 2 yr. or so to acquire Korean language in Korea.). Another one, Gisselle who graduated from English speaking International school in Japan. On graduation, she was brought or scouted from Japan to S. Korea. Btw, she is the product btw. Japanese dad & Korean mom in Japan, & her native tongue is therefor English. Aespa appeared on American TV show in last Nov. of 2021, where Gisselle was speaking English fluently. The rest of 2 girls is from S. Korea. They are my favorite Kpop group as well. Potentially they possess the talent & visual to possibly supplant the Blackpink in the foreseeable future!!?? Dude, I discovered kpop/jpop/cpop in 2010, at the time I was into US hip hop/rap/alternative/some techno, but once I went into Asian pop that was it, it was OVER, I still listen to a little hiphop here and there, but nothing like pre kpop discovery. For over the last decade plus everything has been asian pop, with a bit of euro mixed in too.

that's the thing about SM groups tbh. tho all of them are produced by the same company, each one is very unique! you already know aespa, Red Velvet and EXO and noticed this for sure, you can't compare them to anyone else! from SM's 3rd/4th gen groups, the only ones you haven't checked are SuperM (SM's super group, with members borrowed from NCT, EXO and SHINee) and NCT (who are unique even from the formation itself, i mean... 23 members and counting...). i'm pretty sure you'll love them too. some of their most unique songs are "ONE" (SuperM), "Glitch Mode" (NCT DREAM), "Sticker" (NCT 127) and "Make a Wish" (NCT U), i'd start with those [tho i have a feeling "Hello Future" by NCT DREAM would put the biggest smile on your face] from SM's older groups: "Don't Call Me" by SHINee, "I GOT A BOY" by Girls Generation, "Something" by TVXQ and "Lo Siento" by Super Junior
