My dad worked with Alan Jackson in Carrollton Georgia doing construction at a Georgia power plant in the 80's before he made it big, he would bring his guitar and play songs for the workers on lunch break on top of the power plant where they would take their breaks, my dad said he was a genuine good guy

Alan Jackson has always been one of my favorite country singers. Everything he did is amazing, and I do have to say that he was hot as a bonfire when he was younger. I don't listen to country much but every once in a while I do find some on Spotify. If you like this one try Chattahoochee.

I'm a city guy all the way and international music aficionado. Alan Jackson introduced me to county music two years ago now. Simply, he is a king of his craft. Needless to say, my bucket list has changed to travel and find real country singers perform. Before they are gone. The new "country music" isn't country. It's branched more in blue grass, soft rock and even hip hop. I dislike it to the point I really want to write country music such as Mr Alan Jackson. Simply exquisite to the ear, heart and soul.

This song was written by one of country music’s greatest songwriters, Tom T. Hall. You should definitely check him out. He had a lot of hit songs, too. “Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon Wine”, “Homecoming”, “The Year That Clayton Delaney Died” just to name a few good ones to start with. Love the channel BTW!

He’s a great entertainer. So sad that he suffers from Charcot-Marie-tooth disease. It affects his nervous system. He has had it for about 10 years now. He went public in 2021. This is very sad for the great artist he is 😢😢😢. Please pray for him n his family. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼. BTW I love your channel ❤️😃❤️

Ya know what though...neighborly bonding in those little bitty towns was far greater than any of the larger towns and cities I've lived in. There was always the urge to reach out, where in the cities ya just want to retreat from it all mostly.

You guys should check out the amazing song he wrote immediately after 9/11 called 'Where were you when the world stopped turning?'. Powerful song. For a very heavy, powerful song, you should also check out a newer artist called Hardy. He has a big hit right now called 'Wait in the truck'. It will shock you & make you think & make you feel some kind of way. Unbelievable song. Hardy has been writing songs for other stars, including 'Gods Country' for Blake Shelton. On Wait in the truck a gal named Lainey Wilson sings it with him. Gorgeous voice. It's a serious song but I think everyone needs to see it. ~ Love you guys.

In October of 1996, country artist Alan Jackson released his song “Little Bitty.” For us here at Outsider, it includes all the ideals we’ve grown to love. The story talks about the importance of living in the moment and enjoying the small, yet satisfying parts of life. While life may be full of a collection of “Little Bitty” moments, every simple moment and experience has meaning. The song was written by popular songwriter Tom T. Hall. At the time of writing this song and others he had claimed he was “retired.” However, he couldn’t pass out the simple joy in writing a new song. Tom is known as “The Storyteller” and has created music for popular icons like Johnny Cash, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Alan Jackson, and Bobby Bare. Hall is famous for writing strong narrative-driven songs with a lot of detail. They also included insight into normal everyday life. In a 2005 interview with CMT, Hall talked about the inspiration behind “Little Bitty” it all started on a trip to Australia. He describes going for a walk one day and ending up in the country. He comes across a typical suburban-style house that is what he considers is the “American Dream.” “I thought, ‘I’m in Australia, and here’s the great American dream.’ The house with a picket fence, the dog, the flowers. It was almost like a painting. I said, ‘This is universal, this notion of having a contained domestic situation,'” Hall said. He then started walking back and thought to himself, “So, it’s alright to be little bitty.” From there he started writing the song right away. He ended up in a coffee shop as soon as they opened. While ordering coffee he asked the waitress if she had ever heard the phrase “little bitty.” She said that she did in fact know it meant something small or very tiny. After realizing the term was universal to some extent, he decided to finish the song but got stumped on the last verse. After sitting in a drawer for years, he ended up just ending the song the same way it starts. “It’s a cyclical song. I wrote the last verse at the bottom of the typed page. I demoed it and put it on my little album … Then Alan Jackson heard it. I’m glad I never emptied my briefcase into a wastebasket. It’s a dangerous business, what you throw away,” Hall said. Although the song is about enjoying the silence, beer, and a dream, Hall also describes it as cynical. What is absolutely for certain about the song is that the phrase “little bitty” appears 23 times. It also is for many people a reminder that striving for the little things can be a big thing all on its own. (Outsider.com)
