Angelina has performed with both KORK (Norway National Radio Orchestra) on a few occasions and also the Staff Band of the Norwegian Arm Forces - at age 11 she recorded an Album (It's Magic) with the Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces - she followed that by performing with the band live in concert at age 12.

This performance truly came from her heart. The song is about someone who is in prison singing to his/her loved one and asking them to wait for their return. The Peace Prize was awarded to Nargels (sorry, I think that's right) Mohammadi, who is currently in prison in Iran for fighting for women's rights. Angelina is part Iranian herself (Iranian grandmother), and this must hit close to home. Notice her facial expressions at moments - she is truly feeling this. Remarkable performance.

This is the 4th time she sang this song & to me this is the best one. The 1st was when she was 9 on a TV talk show talking about her book, "Between Two Hearts" about why she sings barefoot. Then at 11, she sang it at home using a backing track. The 3rd time was when she was 17 at her concert at Portsmouth, NH. From fans that were there, it was equally as amazing as this one, but because recording wasn't allowed, all we have are some bootleg cellphone recordings that aren't the greatest audio. Then, a few months later at almost 18 she produced this Masterpiece with the World renowned KORK Orchestra on a TV broadcast with proper audio. My reaction to this the 1st time I heard it was goosebumps, goosebumps & more goosebumps, then the ending brought the tears. Those final high notes were some of the most beautiful sonic vibrations that my ears have ever had the privilege of hearing. Vocal coaches say her vocal chords won't be fully developed until her mid- to late-20's so we may get an even better version in the future, but frankly I don't know how that could be possible. Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges was, at the time of this tribute, on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian. We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. This performance had to be extremely meaningful to Angelina and her family. I hope all the angels will spread the story of Narges and her mission, with the hope for change. In 1954, Alex North was contracted to compose the score for the prison film Unchained (released in 1955). North had a melody he had written in the 1930s and composed and recorded the score when he was asked to write a song based upon the movie's theme. North asked Hy Zaret to write the lyrics. After first refusing, Zaret and North together wrote "Unchained Melody. Zaret refused the producer's request to include the word "unchained" in his lyrics. The song eventually became known as the "Unchained Melody" even though the song does not actually include the word "unchained". Instead, Zaret chose to focus on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time". "Unchained Melody" comes from the film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or completing his sentence and returning to his wife and family. That's Angelina's gift: slow the song down, give it her own twist by "repainting" the song with her voice, and have full respect for the orginal at the same time. I think that is also why many older artists have so much respect for her. And let's face it: although Angelina is just 18 now, she is a highly experienced and hard working musician. And I do not feel sorry for that because this is what she wants to do herself since she was just a little kid. And isn't it amazing, both for Angelina and for us, that there are so many videos and rehearsal videos on line, many of them made by her grandmother Mery Zamani, during this entire process? If you check out her 11/12yrs old singing James Brown version of It,s a man,s world it is my favourite it is with the defence korps militære band.so many but back to Unchained Melody was sung with respect for Narges Mohammadi in prison for actavist trying to gain equal rights for women. This is the second time she has sung in this ceremony. The first time she sang for Malala, the young girl who was shot on the school bus because she spoke out for girls getting an education. A man received the prize as well. Scandinavian and many countries teach English. We are the arrogant country that thinks everyone else should speak what we speak. She is from a multicultural family. Her grandmother is Iranian and Grandfather Japanese. Her dad is Swedish but worked in America at some point. She has visited countries throughout her life.

Vocally she is in the upper stratosphere and in my lifetime I have never listened to a singer who touches my heart with her love every time I hear her sing 'for me'. Yes, she sings directly to each one of us. You said she made you stutter. That happens because your heart took over your body and your head was in a fog wondering what was going on! Goosebumps, tearing up (with the urge to cry) and finding it difficult to speak normally are some of the ways your heart is sending messages to the rest of your body telling you your heart has welcomed her love and it has never felt anything like this ever before. To answer your question, beyond what I just said, is 'that something' which literally stuns you and draws you into her world when she is singing, is because of WHO SHE IS. She is a humble, kind, caring and loving human being and all of that comes through when you listen to her sing. Her soulfulness is GENUINE and when we listen to her that soulfulness transitions into a form of pure love and our hearts open their gate and allow her love to pour right in. How quickly does this happen? In most instances within 5 seconds or so after she starts to sing. How often does this happen? Every time you hear her begin to sing and that includes listening to her sing the same song over and over and over again. Most people are emotionally affected by Angelina almost immediately and, like you, don't have the answers about what is going on. As you continue to hear her sing the answer you are searching for will make itself very clear, not through words but by how she makes you feel. It's remarkable. And that feeling will never go away. Vocally and artistically she is supreme. She stands 6' tall and is a beautiful young lady and when you include what a wonderful person she is, well, she is here for all of us. There are people in the world who have closed their hearts to receive love because they have been hurt emotionally and don't want to feel that pain again. They will listen to Angelina and in a moment when they are particularly vulnerable their heart will open up and let her love pour right in. Yes, they will probably sob uncontrollably but it will be a great day for them, won't it? Many people like myself always take every opportunity we have to introduce Angelina to people who haven't discovered her yet. We are usually asked, "Why are you doing this? Is this your daughter? Do you know her? What's in it for you?" Our reply is, "We do it because we want you to listen to her sing for you and then Angelina will take it from there." As we say good-bye and turn away from that person we have a smile on our face because we know what's going to happen to them. Do we expect them to act any differently than we did when we first discovered her? I like to say she is a Messenger of Love.

I was surprised at how reserved she chose to perform this compared to her earlier covers of this song. I think she treated it a little differently because of the occasion and the orchestral backing.
