This performance was ranked the best Kpop performance of 2021 by Genius Korea. It's an amped up version of Wonderland for Kingdom Legendary War. Unfortunately, since it was during Covid protocols, there weren't audiences which is why it's strangely silent at the end.

Let me tell you this, I saw ateez in Phoenix in November, and Jongho's vocals live & in person, I actually had to cover my ears, not because it was bad, it was super amazing, but that man does not need a mic in an arena. His voice is so powerful it shocked all of us! His vocals remind me of old rock operas. Jongho could totally sing Freddy Mercury. It was cool too, there were some dads near us, who brought their kids, and at 1st they were just sitting there, not caring, but by the end of it, they were on their feet amazed. 💜

John this is from Kindom: Legendary War competition show in 2021. 6 groups competed to be the King of Kpop. Ateez, Stray Kids, BTOB, SF9, Ikon, and The Boys. The performances from all the groups were SOOO Amazing. Must watch.

Kingdom: legendary war is a competition show. 6 groups compete. Ateez and Stray kids are both in the show from 2021 The song they performed was a mash-up of theyr song Wonderland and Antonín Dvořák's symphonie No. 9, hence the name of the performance. All the stages are legendary. My personal favorites are '' I'll be your man''' performed by Stray kids and '' love poem'' performed by a Ateez, Stray Kids and BtoB unit.

Kingdom is free to watch on Viki. I loved be able to watch all the behind scenes for these epic stages. One of my favs was watching them out together Paint. My fav part about KPOP is that they give us sooo much behind the scenes: from dance practices, to music creation, to recording vocals, to music videos. It’s insane. I totally geek out. I was blessed to see them live. They are phenomenal performers.

Ateez is definitely on their own category when it comes to live performances. That being said if you are interested in another artist you haven't reacted to yet and who is known for his live vocals then I recommend checking out WOODZ. Especially his live clip of Accident is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard 🙏

My favorite thing about this song is that one clip from one of their 2022 concerts (I think it was Atlanta?), when Jongho's mic stopped working, but you could still hear him hit that high note so clearly.

Kingdom 2021 and 2022 are great. The youngest from Ateez (awesome singer), seungmin from stray kids and BTOB (name I would butcher if I tried to spell). Love Poem. Stray kids also did “I’ll be your man”. So many great performances on kingdom.

It's from the Symphohy NO.09 From The New World originally (referring to what you said you heard in the background), which comes from a Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. As a Czech Republic citizen I couldn't be more proud and happy that my ultimate group worked with one of my favorite national composers. It's a true honor. 😅🥰

The song you hear in the background is Dvorak’s symphony #9, listen to it sometime and see if it doesn’t (esp at the beginning) sound like a certain shark movie. Lol this whole series around Kingdom was filled with amazing performances. For ME, stray kids, BtoB and Ateez were tops. The 3 other groups, ikon, the boys and SF9 also had great performances, but I am a bit (ok, a lot lol) biased.

One quick comment. WHen you said they are a concept band, I was really thrown by that. They don't actually portray pirates. It is the metaphor behind their early music: people in search of a treaasure. What treasure? Depends on the person. We are all seeking something valuable in our lives. Please let go of the "concept band" idea. Get to know them. It will take some time and though their discography isn't is large as BTS - yet as they only began in 2018. Their music is rich, complex and varied. They LOVE to play with people's musical expectations: when you hear a 8 bars and think you know where the song is going next - and then it doesn't. Their production team is unbelievable. You need a very experienced Atiny (Ateez version) of Megan. You DON"T want to go down this rabbit hole without supervision. 😜

They incorporated Dvorak’s From the New World into their song Wonderland. This was their first real performance on the competition show KINGDOM: Legendary War. They also have a performance of iKon’s Rhythm Ta, a mashup of their song Answer and Ode to Joy, a performance of their song The Real and then performances where they combined with the groups StrayKids and BTOB and then broke into the rap, dance and main vocal units to each perform a song: Colors, Wolf, and Love Poem. I recommend all those performances, as well as StrayKids’ performances. They did BTOB’s I’ll be Your Man, a mashup of their songs Gods Menu and Side Effects, their song Wolfgang, and a mashup of their song God’s Menu and Blackpink’s Ddu-du Ddu-du Du. Kingdom was a great show performance wise. Not the scoring (that was a shit show) but the performances were amazing. It was preceded by Road to Kingdom featuring The Boyz, Golden Child, Pentagon, Oneus, TO1, Verivery and ONF. Both shows had really amazing live performances to a variety of songs.

I went to bts and Blackpink concert ,had a great time I sang and dance. Then I went to Ateez concert,all I did was cry harrrrd!!! I’ve never seen such F BEAUTIFUL performance!!! I hate crowd so I won’t go to anymore kpop concerts except for the king of performance themselves,Ateez. Then it’s super worth it!!

Yes this song is mashed with Symphony No 9 by Dvorak (it’s the same Symphony used in the Jaws song). They also mash it with a Wonderland remix in addition to Wonderland. Fun fact-when Ateez performed this they were in the middle of their Fireworks comeback and had no sleep for about 40 hours (they spent 24 hours preparing the stage after being up all day before that and they also had to wait their turn to perform. That’s why SAN’s voice is a little fried and Jongho cracks at his cut off for his high note (a B5). They performed this version for their Beginning of the End tour and Jongho hit it every time without the crack.

Also as a note. Mingi was on Hiatus during Kingdom and was not present. Kingdom was a competition. You should check out their other stages-especially the Rhythm Ta Cover stage. Also, for their live vocals you should check out their Immortal Songs appearances (Immortal songs invites artists to compete using a theme covering other songs). Ateez won on their first appearance. They were the first 4th gen group to win, the first bg to win twice, the first of any Kpop group to get invited to the King of Kings episode twice (it’s a sort of all star end of season competition), and the fastest Kpop group to get 3 wins. Immortal Songs does not allow lip syncing so mics are on.

This performance was from a battle of the bands show about 2 years ago called Kingdom Legendary War, where 6 male Kpop groups competed weekly for two months. Their songs were all remixed, with all new choreography for the show. Some weeks they had to remix and perform one of their competitors songs. For two of the weeks they decided the 6 bands into 2 teams. Ateez was combined with Stray Kids and BtoB. The rap lines of all three groups performed together. The dance lines performed together, and the 3 main vocalists from each group performed together, which ended up being my favorite performance from the entire show. If you want to see it I will post the link. I watched the show because I was a fan of Ateez and Stray Kids, but I unintentionally fell in love with BtoB.
