ATEEZ do indeed know how to put on a performance, they are on another level when they get to stage! They do have more generally a pirate theme, like a storyline going through their music but the pirate theme is not always that obvious. I recommend their live of "Win" at Seoul concert from their own channel, you will see what they can do when all 8 members are at present!

I thought the same thing about Seonghwa killing the kraken with one shot. But then when the shock of this whole performance wore off (or dulled. I'll never be over it. haha) I went back and you can actually see all the other people shooting the kraken before him. His was just the finishing blow. lol

Ateez are such awesome performers! I can't wait for you to dive into them more. The blond guy you like is Hongjoong - he's the leader and main rapper of the group, also there is actually 8 of them, one of the members Mingi was on hiatus for a few months, but is now back and well. Their debut song was Pirate King, so definitely check that out. Also, Ateez is pronounced more like ay-tease rather than 80's and Atiny is a combination of ateez and destiny :)

I was even more impressed by this performance when I learned they were performing their new come back and 4 of the members were filming a K-Drama and they were practicing for this performance all at the same time. I don't really thing any member of ATEEZ if very intimidating off-stage (they are either super loud and obnoxious, or super cute and sweet) but on stage they are something else.

Anyway, there are 8 members of ATEEZ, but *Mingi* (the main rapper, the main dancer, song writer) was on hiatus for anxiety at that time (but he's back now) Here's the name of the members *1. Thank you so much for the react. Ateez has insane energy when they perform. During this time several of the members were acting in a drama, Ateez Fireworks comeback was also happening and Mingi our deep voice rapper was out. They barely slept but you wouldn't know that from their performances. Being from a small Korean label they know they must work hard to get attention and promotion and media focus. Ateez have all kinds of senior artists and juniors praising them for their talent. I recommend Hala Hala full performance mv and Hala Hala 3D teaser. I also recommend their Kingdom performance of The Real and Rhythm Ta cover on Kingdom. Then Ateez Win performance and Thanxx mv.

I know I'm really late, but since I didn't see another comment about this, it is funny you say that about martial arts and dance, because one of ATEEZ's members, San (pink hair here), was not a good dancer at all when he joined KQ as a trainee. But his skills as a third degree Taekwando black belt helped him pick it up very quickly. He's now known for being an incredibly expressive dancer, and he utilizes his flexibility and balance while he performs to allow him to take more theatrical and dramatic movements while dancing that add a lot to his individual style. And that's something I am sure that if you haven't discovered yet that you'll see. ATEEZ focuses on their own individuality in their choreo a lot, and has specifically stated that it is their choice to focus on that over synchronization. That doesn't mean they aren't synchronized by any means, but more that they're synchronized as a unit, while still expressing themselves. It's something that has really set them apart in the performance department in their generation of kpop, and that has earned them their reputation as untouchable performers. For instance, you have Yunho (guy with the sword), who is pointed to by the group themselves as their best dancer, who is razor sharp in his movements and incredibly precise, or you have San, who has his stunning stage presence and expression, or Wooyoung, who excels at the smooth, liquid movements, and so on for all of them. In any case, glad you're enjoying them so far! I look forward to seeing more reactions as you go!

It's not pronounced 80's which has a soft t. It's pronounced ay-tease (like the letter A plus the word tease--he is A tease). Their performances are fire. The industry panel and other performers ranked this performance first for the first round. Jongho showing why he's called the best male vocalist in the 4th gen. You should watch their 2nd round Kingdom performance, Rhythm Ta Awakening of Summer next. It's also fire and was ranked 1st by the industry panel and performers for the second round. BTW, their theme is time/dimension traveling pirates. So most songs have something piratey or some hint of time travel which is what the hour glass refers to. Thanks for the reaction! Since the theme was To The World in the first round they went all out pirate since they knew it would be the first time a lot of p3from other fandoms would see them.

There is so much info that ATINY (fandom name, combo of Ateez and desTINY) will give you. And allow me to help. There are a total of 8 members, not 7....one of the members was on a mental health sabbatical. And in order from oldest to youngest is like this: 1. Seonghwa-long coat, shot the kraken tentacle. Vocals, visual of the group. 2. Hongjoong-very first person you saw and heard, he is leader of the group, composer, main rapper, center. 3. Yunho-the one who you said was a swordsman. Vocals, and performer 4. Yeosang-he had a sub part in this performance and may not have seen him, and that I'd ok, you will. But he is a vocalist, and visual of the group. 5. San-he was the one with short black hair that sang right before the high note. He is a vocalist and performer, however some ATINY (including me) call him SANtan when he is on stage, because he along with Seonghwa turn into demons when they are on stage. 6. Mingi-this member was absent from the performance, but he is an amazing rapper, dancer, composer. 7. Wooyoung-he was the one that came into the shot with the dancers that looked like they were breaking their bones. He is a dancer and vocalist. He has a very long list of idol friends, however one of hid oldest happens to be Changbin of Stray Kids. 8. Jungho-the guy who blew your brain out of your head with his high note is the youngest (maknae) as well as the strongest of the group (can break apples in half with his bare hands with little effort.) And as you can tell has a very powerful voice to match his physical strength. They debuted October 24th of 2018. When they debuted they dropped 2 songs, first was "Pirate King" and "Treasure." This was the beginning of their very complicated storyline. Yes the Pirate theme runs throughout 99% of their MV's. Before their debut in Oct, their company had released 3 group and one solo, one minute to a minute and half dance performance videos to, I suppose, introduce the group to the world. Now these videos did trend on Twitter when they were released. And a lot ppl believe that is when ATINY may have started even though we didn't have a name yet. You should check these out, they are all under the name of KQ FELLAS. These were amazing dance performances to American hip hop music like Cardi B. and others. And even though they have only been around since 2018, they do have a lot of music...not a bad song or video. And their live performances are never boring. I'm going to give you a list of a few of their videos to start out with. And may I say, it's best if you watch the videos in order, that way you don't miss anything, not to mention you may get lost in their storyline. So: List of songs: 1. Pirate King 2. Treasure 3. Say My Name 4. HALA HALA (Heats Awakened, Live Alive) 5. Illusion 6. Wave (need to watched Illusion before Wave) 7. Aurora 8. Wonderland 9. Answer 10. Incepition 11. THANXX 12. Fireworks 13. You should check out their Wolf performance with BtoB, and Skz. That is my all time favourite performance from Kingdom But they made a comeback a month and a half ago with Deja Vu, and Eternal Sunshine, I highly recommend them, and Pirate King. Say My Name and Hala Hala are very good songs. What I'm trying to say is they make very very good songs There's 8 members Hongjoong Seonghwa Yunho Yeosang San Mingi Wooyoung Jongho Hongjoong is their leader, he's the blond haired one. He's a talented young man, extremely talented. He's known for how say this, remaking/decorating clothes, for being a part of the Polished Men, his hairstyles, his lyrics and several other things. Seonghwa is a vocal, a very good one who improved so much in the last three years. He was the one who shot the Kraken. He originally was going to be a rapper, but he was told to become a singer. Which is whack, because he's a good rapper as well. He's known for his resemblance of Hiccup from How To Train Your Dragon, his high note from Utopia, his visuals, and his duality Yunho is a performer, and a vocalist. He's best known for his dance, and his personality akin to a golden retriever, and his height. He's the tallest member in ATEEZ, but he's a very very good dance and a very good singer as well. He's the one with the sword. He's also very strong, and has squishy cheeks. Yeosang is another performer and sub vocalist. I wish he got more lines, he's got such a nice deep voice. But he's also a dancer, a very good one with a strong stage presence. He's known for his unconditional love for Atiny, for having strong presence on stage and a child like innocence off stage, he's very kind, like a genuinely kind guy. He's the reason I got into Ateez in the first place LOL He's the one with black hair. Goodness I can't even point him out because I don't think he got much screen time. San is a vocalist and performer as well. He has grown so much in the last three years 😭 He's known for his Strong Stage Presence, for his erm...not lewd but not so innocent dancing on stage, his duality as well. He's got such nice vocals, but his hip thrusts are 💀 He goes above and beyond when performing. He's the one with Pink hair Mingi, he was absent from November last year to August this year, due to anxiety. He's a rapper as well, and a performer. He's close with all members but Yunho has been his best friend for 7 years. He's known for his visuals that are similar to iKon's Bobby and someone else, I believe an actor, his deep voice, and his Fix On line he says before he starts rapping. He's very adorable off stage, and likes the nickname Princess 🥺 Wooyoung, he's a very sensual and friendly person. Like San, he does some...sexy moves on stage. He's known for collecting other idols, his friendship with Skz's Changbin and Felix, TXT's Yeonjun and his soul mate, San and long time friend Yeosang. He's got very nice vocals as well, check out Mist. San encouraged him to sing high notes for the song and he absolutely killed it. He was also Artist of The Month for Studio Choom, I can't remember which month but uuugghhhhh he did such a wonderful job. He's the one that the Contortionists pushed into the other room with the kraken Last but not least we have our youngest, Jongho. The members, if my memory is correct, have said that he was their hidden weapon. He's a very strong vocalist. He dances very well, sings very very very well, and because the gods blessed him, he can rap sometimes too. They really said Jonghos Our Favourite. He's known for his high notes, for his strength (he broke a watermelon in half with a closed fist, and he can break apples in half while singing) and being a hidden comedian. They've all participated in the Polished Men, having been inspired by Hongjoong, for their insane performances, stylists have said that idols go to their TV to watch Ateez when they're performing. I also suggest watching their Mama 2019 performance. You'll see just how they talented they are. Let me tell you sir actually before That man shoot the kraken to die, his crew team (the backup dancer already shoot the kraken) before the final touchdown with that man. It's actually pronounced like Ay-tease, dunno who tf keeps telling people it's like 80's but yeah..... The blonde one is our lovely leader, Hongjoong. His stage presence is always outstanding but offstage he's the sweetest little angel. This performance was a remix of their song 'WONDERLAND' which I HIGHLY recommend you check out the actual music video for that. They do have a song called 'Pirate King' which was one of their 2 debut songs and is , of course, amazing.

Well for not knowing Ateez you picked a good preformance to start with. As an Atiny (pronounced A teeny = A Destiny) the production team put in a lot of Easter Eggs in the 1st 10-15 seconds to Ateez theme 🤠🤺🤔🤔😜 (And they did again in 2 more Kingdom preformances) Fun Fact #1 - At the time that Kingdom started Ateez had just finished promoting their comeback & 4 out of the 8 members were just starting to film a K-Drama, called Imitation which by now has finished: side fun fact a member from SF9 was also in the drama) Fun Fact #2: Ateez's debut song is PIRATE KING ☠👑 and Hong Joong (the blonde one who is the group's leader, main rapper and one of the composers & producers) picked this song for Kingdom because he just finished re-watching Pirates of the Caribbean and he wanted to put in the classical element to the song. If you want to understand the Ateez Universe, I recommend you start with PIRATE KING - SAY MY NAME - HALA HALA - TREASURE - ILLUSION - WAVE - WONDERLAND & then ANSWER. Although Ateez does NOT have a bad song!
