This song is beautiful and so sad. They have a lot of really good songs, they’re amazing live also. Almost Easy, Nightmare, welcome to the family, afterlife, hail to the king, bat country, gunslinger, seize the day, they have so many great ones. Their instrumentals are insane, Sysyster Gates is such a talented drummer. Nobody will top Zakk Wylde as a guitarist for me though, but so many come close. Another beautiful yet sad song is In This River by Zakk Wylde as a tribute to his best friend Dimebag from Pantera. Make sure to watch the official video though because it’s an emotional one, his piano playing and guitar in that song are incredible. The guitar solo almost sounds like it’s crying from the passion & intensity he plays with.

There are live performances of this song and M Shadows gets so choked up singing this song… and Gates(guitarist) sometimes manipulates his guitar in such a way that it’s like his guitar is crying from the pain of the loss of Rev.

This song was about the original drummer. Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. It was revealed, he was born with an enlarged heart. His doctor told him at the age of 28 basically what would happen, is his heart would explode in his chest. So instead of feeling that pain, he committed suicide at 27 so he wouldn’t experience what was to come. He lived as long as he thought he had, and made the biggest mark in rock history a man could make at such a young age. If you can, look up fiction by avenged sevenfold. It’s said that is The Revs suicide note.
