Their beautiful harmonizing is in almost all of their songs. When Barry, tallest, was 9 and the twins Robin and Maurice were they started performing. Their mom went to their room to have them turn down the radio and found it wasn't the radio but it was her son's singing in perfect three part harmony.

@Spideyleem_2 This song was from the 70’s! And yes, The Bee Gees were played on soul/R&b radio stations back in the day! And remember there was no computers, MTV, KZbin, etc. in the day so videos were not really a “big production “ back then. They focused mostly on the music. The Brothers Gibb (Barry Gibb, the oldest & lead here); and fraternal twins Robin, no beard, and Maurice Gibb - pronounced Morris). They started singing in 1958-2003. Barry is the only one still living today. He celebrated his 78th birthday and 54th wedding anniversary on 9/1/24. The Bee Gees were MEGA stars back in the day. In this song they were singing in their falsetto (high) voices, but this was not their regular singing voices. And they wrote ALL their own songs. At one point in their career they released 6 straight #1 songs in a row. They were: 1. How Deep Is Your Love (mostly regular voices) 2. Staying Alive (just about everyone on the planet has heard this song in movies) (falsetto) - you just did this one! 3. Night Fever (All these 3 were from the Saturday Night Fever movie Soundtrack (falsetto) 4. Tragedy (falsetto) 5. Too Much Heaven (falsetto)-you did this one. 6. Love you inside out (falsetto) So all of those are a must to react to. But they had hits before and after that streak. Here are others that are my favorites that you have to react to: 1. You Should Be Dancing (falsetto) 2. Jive Talking (live 1975 Midnight Special) (regular voice) 3. More than a woman(falsetto) 4. Nights on Broadway (live 1975 Midnight Special) (regular voice) 5. Love So Right (falsetto) 6. You Win Again (1987 Dutch TV countdown show) (regular voice) 7. Wind of Change (1975 live Midnight Special) (regular voices) And these are just the songs THEY SUNG! They wrote, played instruments, sung background and produced for OTHER ARTISTS, so please do some of these: 1. Emotions (Samantha Sang) 2. Immortality (Celine Dion live 1997 Vegas) 3. Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers/Dolly Pardons) 4. Woman in Love, Guilty, What Kind of Fool (Barbra Streisand) 5. Heartbreaker (Dionne Warwick 6. Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) 7. If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) 8. Grease (Frankie Valli) 9. Any Andy Gibb record (he was their little brother and had a great solo career)

Fun fact: "Staying Alive" can literally help you stay alive. Its tempo is used as a tool for performing CPR. It was released in 1977 and was written and recorded as part of the soundtrack for the movie "Saturday Night Fever". The Bee Gees are brothers who had been performing since they were children. They've had hits spanning decades, from the 60s into the 90s.

It’s amazing the sound you get when you have family singing together! It’s the perfect blend. These boys used to sing in their bedroom as youngsters and their mother thought they accidentally left the radio on. Mum opened the door to turn the radio off and realized it was not the radio but it was her sons instead!! Barry is the only one still alive (the oldest in the middle) and the twins have passed. Robin (red shirt) died in 2012 from cancer and kidney failure which came on with the cancer. Maurice (pronounced Morris) died in 2003 from a heart attack which was a result of a blocked intestine. These men are savants, all 3 with perfect pitch. It’s interesting seeing how they created explosions in their song Tragedy which you can see in the recording of the song on KZbin! This is a massive rabbit hole that you’ve started climbing down!! More than 1000 songs to listen to! These brothers performed for more than 50 years before Maurice died! They wrote amazing songs for other artists as well. My favorite is the song they wrote for Celine Dion called Immortality! RIP Robin and Maurice, we love and miss you!🫶🤟

Stayin Alive was sampled by Drake, Lil Baby, and DJ Khalid in their song Staying Alive. The song was released in August 2022. This song has been sampled in 119 songs. The beat of the 1977 disco song “Stayin’ Alive” is 103 beats per minute which is the recommended rate for chest compressions during (CPR) Please react to Fanny Be Tender with my Love. Quincy Jones said it was his favorite R and B song. Barry uses his chest voice in Fanny Be Tender with my Love! First time subscriber!

Who cares who "sampled" it???
@rwilson7197
@rwilson7197 2 ай бұрын
@davisworth5114 We care because listeners don't always know the music is not the sampler's original music. Sometimes they use old music themes such as a distinctive bassline or melody written by older artists such as the BeeGees (while not exposing the fact by covering the entire song.) Other times it is barely noticeable and really just an inspiration to the new song.

Probably too late to be seen, but I'll comment anyway: In the 70s, the Bee Gees music brought Whites and their Black brothers together in a big way. This togetherness, this mutual love and appreciation for the Bee Gees' sound, influenced change and progress on many levels. (side note: when you say unison and sync, you may be looking for the word *harmony*. The Bee Gees were famous for the way their voices harmonized so beautifully and naturally. How fitting that harmony is what they brought to Whites and their Black brothers)

You can't go wrong with any song by the Bee Gees, but I think a good one to do soon would be How Deep Is Your Love. You've done a lot of their songs where they sing falsetto, and How Deep Is Your Love is a good example of them singing in their lower natural range.

Andy Gibb was my favorite of the brothers Gibb Andy was very talented in his own right and no one can take that from him. Andy was oh so sexy. He was and still is my crush. Rest well sweetheart i pray you found the peace you so longed for on earth and never achieved. React to Shadow Dancin by Andy Gibb that is my favorite song of his. Nice Reaction. I have a problem with Barry he was not on good terms with Andy when he died. I think Barry was and still is full of himself. Just my opinion and i have a right to it. Barry himself said i was not getting on with my brother when he died and that is the burden i will have to carry for the rest of my life and i have to agree with him.

What the freak? You know nothing about Barry Gibb. And don’t you dare say anything against their relationship. Andy and Barry were the best of friends, Barry loved him deeply, and his loss was devastating to Barry. You may have the right to your opinion and I have the right to say it’s stupid. Barry gave so much of himself, his time, expertise, pull, good name, songwriting and producing skills, to help his brother be a success, and Andy loved and hero-worshipped Barry. Any challenges they had at the end (which neither could’ve seen coming) were due to Andy’s choices and Barry’s frustration with him. Barry is absolutely the best man. Don’t spread lies. It’s wrong.

The lyrics were about violence, race riots and the "Son of Sam" serial murders in New York City in the mid 70's and the resultant fear in a lot of the public. Robin wrote the initial lyrics on the back of his Concorde ticket after reading about that in the NY Times. It is a serious song with a serious message.

The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. All 4 brothers are just natural musical talents. All of them dropped out of high school in their early teens and none of them could read or write music. All their compositions were created completely organically. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1967. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ_MiYaebNuKiKs Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXnCm2xmm6h8oZY, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJerhoZrgstjZrM. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4Wcp4V-iLyBmM0. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you kzbin.info/www/bejne/eXKXdHykedOHoZo. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2eVeJ93etWZqLs. Andy was kind of Barry's mini me, about half a foot shorter and 12 years younger but they were the only lefties of the family. However, his voice was nowhere near as broad in range or as strong as Barry's. As producer Alby Galuten said in the book "Tales of the brothers Gibb "Andy's falsetto was nowhere near Barry's." Andy had a lower, huskier, sound to his voice and his range was not as big as Barry's. I personally always thought his voice was much better suited to songs of his first album, Flowing Rivers. Andy died of myocarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart - on March 10, 1988, 5 days after his 30th birthday. His heart had been weakened by his drug addiction over the years which, by the way, was also the main reason for his split from Victoria Principal. He also had a congenital heart problem that was later also discovered in Barry and Barry's second son Ashley. Try listening to the song Dreamin' on kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3zHc4mBmLiGidk which is kind of a duet with Barry. And here are the 4 brothers live on stage in 1979 doing You Should Be Dancing kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWewg2B7lLatsJI And finally a few photos of Barry and Andy: i.postimg.cc/jS6n3Jkv/Barry-Andy.jpg and i.postimg.cc/TwnPh8M0/82c126fc42a35d3b737867af41338199.jpg and the 4 brothers with their mother i.postimg.cc/FRNMbwkD/b9b2561eadffee11347573c97063c2f8-zpsd89478eb.jpg

So far they were NOT in unison: they were doing vocal harmony. Yes, in synch is better. Unison means in the same note. They were not in the same note. If you're going to talk about music, you should learn some of the terminology.
