You missed the biggest reason girls who are insanely hot are obsessed with their looks. Looks don't actually just happen, not to the standards we have in modern society. They take effort. Being insanely hot (usually) REQUIRES a degree of obsession with your looks to make them that good. It's not just privilege. It's effort.

Depends very much on your definition of "hot". If you think lots of makeup, botox, stylizing, waxing and accessorizing is hot, then yes, I can see how you'd think that being hot requires effort and an obsession. If you find natural looks (none of the above) hot, then your statement is puzzling, because there doesn't seem to be much effort required. The truth is likely in the middle, but for some people, it doesn't require that much and certainly no obsessions with looks.

@@JensRiggelsen The reality is, even if a woman has "natural" hotness, she is still in competition with others that can achieve her level with makeup, or close enough to make no difference, so to stand out, she is encouraged to do all those things. Now, not all women do this, some women are stronger minded, more grounded. They don't wear makeup, or do all these other things, but that is a tiny minority and to pretend it isn't is disingenuous.

I would not blame Disney as tales of Chivalry and prince charming started in the Middle Ages. Books & the film industry had many heroes & Damsels in the very early stages of silent films as well. Disney just did animated versions of similar stories of heroes and damsels in distress. We all need to temper our expectations, and there definitely are both men & women who learn they are being shallow and can not find the perfect mate.

The line basically describes a person that believes in the equality of men and women who nevertheless has the disposable income and generous nature to fill the traditionally male role of paying for the meal. It's a desire to have your cake and eat it as you said but for different reasons then you stated.

You're trying too hard to over-think a joke. Generally, a feminist would be against any traditional gender roles, which would include the man paying for everything. I can personally attest to the fact that there are lots of women out there that think of themselves as femenist but also still expect men to continue their gender roles at the same time, which is indeed contradictory, or at the very least hipocritical.

I love this song. I actually have a few lyrics on my bio on hinge (dont care if it hurts I wasnt rly impressed with hinge). But I have met someone on there. Its extremely early but she's out of my league beautiful, plays games (video games and board games), seems really down to earth and simple, and seems rly awesome overall. Just waiting for when I blow it 😢. Just seems a lot of people dating need to hear this song. Find someone that is deserving and who you think you could build a life with, flaws and all.
