I remember the summer of 87, I had just graduated, and a couple of friends and I were outside smoking and joking, and one of my buddies pulled his acoustic guitar out, played and sang this song. It was awesome, and now it's a memory painted, and has never left my mind.

This song was usually the last song played at the skating rink. I was in middle school when this was released so if you were G enough to have already started pullin girls you were slow skating to this to end your night. I wasn't lol. Despite that fact this still brings back great memories of those days

eric carmen did the solo of all by myself which others below have mentioned. eric carmen was the lead singer of the band called the RASPBERRIES before that. They had a few hit songs with the most popular being GO ALL THE WAY. Fabulous song you should look at. Not many have reacted to it.

You really need to educate yourself, Eric Carmen took Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto №2 in C minor and sampled bits of it for his MEGA-HIT “All by Myself”. He did so without crediting Rachmaninoff..in other words he plagiarised the music which he ended up crediting Rachmaninoff as co-writer !!
