LARA FABIAN born January 9, 1970, is a Italian-Canadian-Belgian singer, songwriter, musician, actress and producer.
She has sold over 30 million records worldwide as of 2021 and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time.
She was born in Etterbeek, Brussels to a Belgian father and a Sicilian mother. She lived the first part of her childhood in Sicily, in Catania; in fact, Italian is the first language she learned while growing up in Brussels.
She moved to Quebec in 1991 and since 1995, she has held Canadian citizenship alongside her Belgian citizenship
In 2003, she returned to Brussels to be close to her parents in Belgium and lived in 2015 in Walloon Brabant province in Belgium just outside Brussels.
In the second half of 2017, she returned permanently to Montreal, Quebec, to be with her family.
In the summer of 1999, Fabian recorded her first English-language album, Lara Fabian, in New York and San Francisco for the Sony label. The songs were written and produced with Rick Allison and Dave Pickell, Walter Afanasieff, Glen Ballard and Patrick Leonard.
The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 'Heatseekers' album chart, reached #1 on the French album chart and #2 on the Belgian album chart. For the Asian version of the album, Fabian collaborated with American-Taiwanese pop star Leehom Wang on the song "Light of My Life".
The dance-pop song "I Will Love Again", her first English single, reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play, and peaked #32 on the Billboard Hot 100, #10 Adult Contemporary, as well as appearing in several international charts. This included the UK Singles Chart, where it peaked at #63.[15] The follow-up ballad, "Love By Grace", entered the Adult Contemporary chart, peaking at #24. In February 2001, "Love By Grace" became the theme song of the lead couple in the Brazilian soap opera Laços de Família, broadcast by Rede Globo in Brazil and Portugal. For several weeks, the song was number 1 on most Brazilian and Portuguese radio stations. The third single, the dance-pop song "I Am Who I Am", remixed by Hex Hector, did not chart. In Europe, the single "Adagio" charted at #5 on the French singles chart and #3 on the Belgian singles chart.
During this period, Fabian recorded songs for several Hollywood motion picture soundtracks, including "The Dream Within" for the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within soundtrack, and "For Always" for the AI:Artificial Intelligence soundtrack, which contained both a solo version and a duet with Josh Groban.

Love your reaction. I don't know if you've seen her do Adagio, Je Suis Malade, You're Not From Here, Caruso, Pedere L'amore. All from this same concert, From Lara With Love. She was thirty years old here and she's still performing and recording at 51. My favorite female singer ever. No other conveys and evokes emotion the way Lara does. The only thing that eclipses her breathtakingly stunning beauty is her amazing vocal ability.

Lara Fabian is my all time favorite female vocalist. 40 years and still performing and making recordings. But now I would like to turn you on to a 14 year old Russian female vocalist that will blow your mind and capture your heart and soul. Her name is Diana Ankudinova and she has the most recognizable dramatic contralto voice in the world. There was a survey conducted by a ranking company ( I believe rank.com ) that ranked the best female pop singers of 2020 and Diana was ranked Number 1. Even ahead of Demi Lovato!!! Diana Ankudinova . who many coaches, professional vocalists, and Reactors around the globe consider in possession of the most unique mesmerizing memorable amazing atavistic tribunal primordial shaman goddess voice in the world -any age. Your reaction age 14 her incredible and legendary performance of an old ritual wedding folk song titled “ rechenka” ( River in English) Is -to this day-considered by many professional vocalists and coaches around the world as the most unique and mesmerizing live performance by a vocalist -any age , in the history of Russian talent shows. And along with “ Human” ( lowest possible female range she’s a rare dramatic contralto ) and “ Wicked Game” contributed to her winning not only the kids “ you are super” contest for orphans and adopted children 2 consecutive years but catapulted her to international fame with millions of avid followers worldwide. If Diana wanted to she could easily become a world class.... ( I won’t spoil the 12 seconds) Also when she won her “you are super” contest she performed a song written by Lara Fabian titled “ Tomorrow Is A Lie” accompanied on the piano by the famous composer Igor. She sings it in English and the meaning of this song is so spiritual “ only here and now... Tomorrow is a Lie ( all that exists is the next moment).
