I definitely like when mention is made of both the artist, as well as the supporting musicians. Live performances require the very best among musicians and even they need to rehearse at least once (if not more) with the soloist. Here the orchestra (check the opening line of the pianist repeated four times) gave Lara the necessary space to connect with the lyrics, the story before she starts to sing... I appreciate, too, that you highlighted the percussionists. Overall a really crazy cool reaction I love it. ❤ About Lara. I have heard many singers in my 67 years and looking back including what's happening currently on the music scene (all genres), our dear Lara stands out head and shoulders above the rest. She's the reigning Queen.

It is so and even touching to watch you fall a little in love with her, the way that we all do when she sings... It was really sweet, also, seeing your compassionate and empathetic response and wanting to come to her defense... But the truly remarkable thing is that the man who betrayed her and broke her heart actually helped her compose this song. The forgiveness in her enormous heart us wiven into the very substance of this piece or timeless art. ❤ Lara's instrument is peerless...but its her open humanity that makes her truly powerful, that reaches into all of us and resonates perfectly and warmly. I’ve been playing percussions for 50 years now and I’ve never known a more complete artist in my life. She takes care of every detail when composing or interpreting a song without being a control freak. She could take hours to choose the right words or notes to suit the lyrics and the storytelling. Her vocal technique is flawless. She’ll be back on tour next Tuesday at 52. She’s got 37 years of mastering her art. To me, she embodies the summum of singing performances. Great reaction ! She speaks French, Italian, English, and Spanish fluently. But...she has sung in 12 languages. I can't think of anyone else who can do that, and with her amazing voice and emotion. She is also a great songwriter. A truly beautiful and talented lady is Lara Fabian. What also sets her apart from many other major talents is her sweetness and humility. She doesn't have to "play" at being a diva or a celebrity. She lays it all out on the stage. Her recordings are great but her live performances are just pure magic.

Great reaction. The song is amazing and was covered by so many (Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Morissette Amon, Cakra Khan, Katrina Velarde, Almira from 4th impact, Jackie Evancho, ...) But the story behind the song is even more amazing. The song was composed by Walter Afanassiev, inspired by a classic piece of Rachmaninov. Walter A. is a legend, he is brazilian/american from russian descent, and he was the composer/songwriter of the initial hits of Mariah Carey then the producer of the Titanic soundtrack, including the "My Heart will go on" song from Celine Dion. And he is now the new music producer for the US of Dimash. BUT - that's where the story become spicy - he was also engaged with Lara when he wrote this song and apparently he cheated. They broke. And she wrote these incredible lyrics on top of his music. Lara said these lyrics are the best she wrote for an english song. I do agree but 1/ there are also some other english masterpieces she wrote 2/ as a french, I can assure you some of her french songs have even more incredible and poetic lyrics. Please continue your journey with Lara: she will never deceive you and she always gives her all soul on stage. She is the ultimate performer. And this is why she is the main inspiration of so many.

More information on Lara Fabian: Lara is recognized as one of the best vocalist ever seen on earth and all professionals list her in the top vocalist tier with Barbra, Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Lisa Fischer, .... In my personal opinion, she is even the best. There are a few vocal characteristics that are her signature: her famous resonance for instance that allows her to sing acapella without mic in venues with 8,000 attendees. Her nickname in the singing world is "the ring" due to this. I would also list her amazing phrasing, breath management and her pleasant tone even when belting in her upper register. So she is one of the best vocalist ever, but on top of that, she adds a few things that make her an absolute package with no equivalence: • she speaks 4 languages fluently (french, italian, english, spanish), can speak a bit of sicilian, russian and dutch, and has sung in 12 languages in total • she is an amazing songwriter and wrote lyrics for most her songs, in the 4 languages she speaks fluently. Just have to point out few things after watching this your reaction again. And after watching and listening Lara. You seem to be a very nice guy and you notice all the details and little things in this performance. Things that happens in orchestra and details in her singing. I appreciate your comments because i think you have seen a lot of good singers in your home country. Somehow Holland produces huge amount of great singers and i have allways wondered why is that. Is it the cheese or beer? 😆 Anyway, you really have great singers down there like number one Glennis Grace and that is amazing. Congrats! I think i can say i'm musically gifted. So i notice quite easily if someone is a good singer or not. And after joining musical school at the age of 8 and starting to play accordion and guitar i can tell if someone is good with his/hers instrument. So it's very nice to see someone pick up those technical or stylish details or nyances or whatever little things that concerns about the whole performance. So thank you for this analysis. And what comes to Lara's vocals or her overall performance, it just can't be better than this. It is masterful by every aspect you can think of. I have been listening and watching this so many times that i even don't remember. But it still is as impressive as it was at the first time. And i see you are appreciating it as much as we all do. You have found the worlds best vocalist in our time (IMHO) but you have just scratch the surface of this journey with her. So great moments are ahead of you, i can guarantee this. BTW, you are just right about that fact that who ever (WA maybe) mistreated or betrayed Lara was a complete dumbass or moron.
