The first song I heard was Prohpecy of Ragnarök, which made me immediately check out the whole album, but when Yggdrasil came on I had to rewind and listen to it like 6 times in a row. Such beautiful melodies shouldn't be allowed on a bands debut album.

I got a group for you. You ever heard of Exit Eden? Well how do you feel about 4 female vocalists from different countries united to make a concept album, one of them has her own band Visions Of Atlantis. These ladies made a symphonic metal album of popular nonmetal songs, examples such as Lady Gaga, Backstreet Boys, and Rihanna among others songs on the album. Oh and Napalm Records is behind it, not a lot of heavy headbanging material but these ladies deserve some props. Check out either their music videos or preferably their live videos (which is just as good), you can find them on Napalm's KZbin channel.

I had the same same vibe when growing up and then I discovered melodic hard rock. To me its like valkyries and the members of the manowar had children. This band its called like that because they're 8 "brothers" from life. They're all from Falun, Sweden. They palyed together for years until they had enough good songs to put together and throw into Spotify and boom. The only reason they are not THAT well known in my opinion is the name of the band. Brothers of metal is also a song from Manowar and I guess it tends to confuse a lot of people (and mix Google results). And yes, Ylva is a goddess. She also plays in a duet called Good Harvest. They do acoustic covers of old songs in a melodic way and sound AWESOME too.

They are Swedish and sing songs about Viking Legends and lore... They were kind of a garage band just jamming and wrote some songs and put out a CD and when it went popular they got serious about the music...
