Just wanted to say a few things: 1) I usually reply to every single comment on my videos, something I like doing as it means I get to talk and meet new people BUT I never expected this video to do this well! Wow... You guys are so welcoming and kind! ❤️ I will try read them all and reply to as many as I can, I'll give all of them a heart if I get to them to so you know I've read your comment ❤️ 2) Thank you for the support on this video, like I said I just wanted to check out a band I had never heard before and you've all been so kind to me with this video so thank you so much! Reading the comments and seeing how kind and understanding you are to each other and people who listen to all different kinds of music on this channel is heartwarming, love all of you ❤️ 3) Because I work full time I record my videos in advance, but I will make sure to add another BTS song to the next recording session I do. I'm reading all your comments to see which one you all recommend. The second I don't have to work full time I can do so many more videos! Maybe one day ❤️ Again just thank you for being so welcoming! Much love and have yourselves a lovely Saturday ❤️❤️

Many reactors are surprised when they discover BTS and they receive lots of messages, it's sometimes overwelming, which I understand, so take your time. I can't wait to see your next video, especially don't hesitate to do polls or ask the community for suggestions or questions if needed, we'll be happy to answer. I hope in the future that you will want to discover BTS more because for the moment I understand that it remains curiosity and that it is all new, but I hope that you will come to love music and want to discover it more about them. Black Swan: Mainly written by RM, the leader, is about their fears of losing all passion for music, either writing it or performing on stage. It's also based on a quote by Martha Graham who was an important figure in the world of modern dance, "A dancer dies twice. Once when they stop dancing and this death is more painful." They've been doing this for a long time now and for some of them it's all they've ever done from a young age but realized music is their life.
@archive25002 жыл бұрын
"Black Swan" is about the fear or losing your passion. It is deeper than you think, in many cases about their songs. They all have their own passion in performing arts and music - singing, rapping, and dancing as well as the rappers in producing, composing, and writing, because everybody will come to that point where they lost their determination in their ambitions but they are asking, "But what if the moment's right now?" ...when currently, the world has its eyes fixated on them, big expectations and such very high standards are put on them when it comes to releasing music, vocals and rapping, the MVs, their lyricism, and their choreography. Such a heavy responsibility to carry, especially when people only care about those things, not about their mental health and struggles.

Into neosoul? Battle style rap? Anything in between? BTS got it all. They write about critisizing the system, famous litterature, mental health,... They've even spoken at the UN three times so far. BTS is not your typical boy band... they have an impressive philosophical and intellectual approach to their music. Yes, they do have some love songs and many are for Army but many of the songs speaks about social issues, books and positive messages. The album Map of the Soul where Black Swan is a part of is inspired by a book by Dr. Murray Stein discussing about Carl Jung's lessons. This is my favorite album so far! I ended up reading a series of psychology books because of BTS. They also take pride in their performances and let me tell you there is no shortage of impressive live performances online. The recent concert in LA is a total experience. Something I've never experienced in any concerts in the past. To top it all, these guys are some of the most charming characters you'll get to know. The song conveys the message from a quote “ A dancers dies twice ,Once when they stop dancing and that’s the most painful” - Martha Graham, meaning that BTS talks about the fear of not loving what they do the most which is Music and if making music doesn’t feel real anymore then that’s how they die there first death… is like loving something for so long but at a moment in time you just stop loving it and it hurt because you have giving everything for that “thing”.

@@GOTGames I would also like to add to the original comment some more background information, then you can try and get your own interpretation of the song: 1) BTS songs usually come as a whole withing an album, each song is a part of the story. This song is part of the "Map of the soul" album with is inspired by a psychologist karl jung's theory of people having different sides to them : persona (what you show to others) shadow (your fears or dark thought and what you hide) and ego (the between that links the persona and shadow). NB: you have already thouched on this meaning a little bit when you started talking about the reference to the ballet :) another hint is try to notice the shadows that are placed throughout the video and also the reflexion in the mirror 2) You said during the video a couple of time that they look so young to have such a level of polishment, well time is a subjective matter. Factually they have been around since 2013 (I have no idea if that is considered short or long in a carreer) and they have reached a very high level of success and subsequently the public expects them to keep going like that and making "hits". Hence the line "Do your thing, do your thing, with me now" then BTS replying "what's my thing? tell me now". I'll let you interpret as you please ^^ I almost kept writing lol, this song has so much to break down I could write an essay, but that would be forcing my interpretation on you. this is my first time watching one your reactions, (BTS brought me here xD) but I love your style and it seems like you're very in touch with the artistic side of music and interested in how the different elements come together to deliver a message disregarding the personnal enjoyment based on personnal taste. So with that supposition in mind I will shut up now and hope to see your point of view of what message the guys were trying to share with the world here :) Have a good day and thank you for the reaction! I enjoyed it

Yeah the 2021 Festa Room Live is what they’re talking about. It’s basically a medley of some of their songs over the years and it gives you a good insight into how versatile their music is. I’ll drop a link as this is the one that has English subtitles as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3uQeoBonbF1i8U Just a tiny bit of background. BTS is a 7 member music group from South Korea with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists as everyone has been commenting. They debuted in 2013 with members: RM, JIN, SUGA, JHOPE, JIMIN, V and JUNGKOOK. RM is the official leader of the group. They are all amazing performers and people which you’ll hopefully get to see as you fall deeper into the BTS rabbit hole😂. I think it would be good to check out music videos, dance practices (like a choreography video of the song) and live performances as they are amazing live. And once you get to know them as artists more you can then check out introduction videos and fan made documentaries here on KZbin. Then maybe check out funny compilations as well. Apart from music they also do a number of entertaining content, like variety and realityv shows that you can find on the vlive app/website. There’s Run BTS (a funny variety show), Bon Voyage (a reality show of them travelling), In the Soop (a staycation like reality show) for now but I would definitely recommend Run BTS the most. Really excited to see more of your reactions as I’ve been searching for a new BTS reactor😂😂. For music video reactions I would recommend: On kinetic manifesto film Fake love DNA Butter Mic Drop Dope Fire Save me Boy with luv Not today Dynamite Danger And for live performance reactions: Pied piper/dimple Tomorrow So what Outro: Wings Home Black swan Dionysus Outro: Tear Ugh Silver spoon(baepsae) Anpanman The Truth untold (Plus all the music videos have live performances as well so you can check out those two as well) That’s all I’ll say for now. Wow I’ve never done this for a reactor before 🤭. Be grateful😂😂. It was really a barrage of content but start where you feel comfortable starting. I hope you actually end up reading this cause I spent a long time figuring out what to write 😅. Yeah thanks and your welcome👍

I saw people recommend the MMA 2019 which might be a good idea for a first introduction into their Live-Performances, because honestly, they're even more mind-blowing live, singing and dancing and performing at the same time. The "BTS room live" from their 2021 Festa is a good chance to get a glance of some of their works over the years, because it's a mashup of I think one song from every album they made, but not the title tracks, rather some of their really good B-tracks. They officially debut in 2013, and some of them been training since 2010, so they've been around for a while, the youngest in the group, Jungkook, is 24 now, and the oldest, Jin, 29. They have three rappers and four vocalists, and they originally started out as a hip-hop group. Everyone came from different parts of Korea and different genres of performative arts, so everyone brought something unique to the table. You have former underground rappers, streetdancers, an acting student, a top student for contemporary dance, etc. so the mix is insane. The three rappers also function as main songwriters, producers and composers for BTS, and the group has 300+ tracks by now, spanning all types of genres and styles. RM has the most credits of them, with 170+ official entries and is the youngest idol to achieve that number, being only 27. Depending on what kind of music genre you enjoy, I can give you recommendations what to check out, because it can be a lot when you first get into their discography. Anyways, thanks so much for checking them out, have a great day, and as ARMYs (BTS fans) say: "You nice, keep going!"

The first thing to understand is, that "K-Pop" is not really just a genre, it's more a whole industry.. As SUGA (one of the BTS members) once said: "I’m a little careful to talk about K-pop as a genre, because I don’t want to be defining Kpop as a genre. I’m a little bit wary of that, but I think rather than approach Kpop as a genre, a better approach would be ‘integrated content.' K-pop includes not just the music, but the clothes, the makeup, the choreography…all these elements I think sort of amalgamate together in a visual and auditory content package, that I think sets it apart from other music or maybe other genres so again, as I said, rather than approach K-pop as it’s own genre I think approaching it as this integration of different content would be better.” BTS is more than just K-Pop. There are 3 rappers and 4 vocalists in BTS. Also I recommend you some songs, that show their diversity: - ON Kinetic Manifesto Film (Music Video) - Mic Drop (Music Video) - Blood, Sweat & Tears (Music Video) - Blue & Grey (MTV Unplugged) - Dis-ease (Lyric video) - Magic Shop (Live) only the rapline: - Outro: Tear (Live) - UGH (Lyric Video) - Cyphers 1-4 (Lyric Video) only the vocal line: - The Truth Untold (Live) - House of Cards (Live) - Dimple (Live) I was also never a boyband kinda girl.. My taste is/was more stuff like Disturbed, Papa Roach, Flogging Molly etc., until I found them and I'm so glad I did.. 😁👍💜

You quoted SUGA correctly but your assertion of "BTS is more than just k-pop" contradicts what he said, BTS is what other korean artist are, too. What he said is that k-pop is not a music genre but an integrated artistic content that shouldn't be refered to as k-pop, but understood as what it actually is: an integration of different kind of arts, and different kind of genres within each discipline and make of it a unique piece that combines all of them cohesively in one piece of art.

Overall, I've found that if someone is respectful toward the boys and their music, even if it might not be to your taste, it's okay because we do understand the we all can't love the same things. I was lucky enough to see this song live in a stadium concert with 50k people in the audience and holy hell the amount of work that went into it was mind boggling to watch. Black Swan was on their album Map of the Soul:7 which has songs the reference their "shadows", which are the part of us that we keep hidden or don't want to face. The group's leader RM with the pinkish hair said that he cried a lot while writing the lyrics and it's refreshing to see someone AS big as BTS speak openly about their fear. Other artists might be scared of losing their fame but BTS are scared of losing what they hold most dear which is all aspects of music.

This video was shot in LA in February 2020, so they were between 22 and 27 years of age (international age, that is… Korean age is different). For your next reaction I’d suggest ON:Kinetic Manifesto, which was shot during the same trip (very different location). It’s quite a different feel to Black Swan with very high energy but is actually a further step in the same exploration of Jungian ideas of the Self, and it’s fire! K-pop isn’t really a genre of music, it includes all sorts of musical styles, along with choreo and visuals. And BTS are kinda beyond K-pop… they started as a Hip-Hop group and have evolved continuously since 2013, incorporating many musical influences from EDM to R&B and Pop along with their rap foundations. They draw on art, literature, philosophy and psychology to examine and comment (often very critically) on their experiences, the challenges faced by young people and the society and world around them. 300+ songs, and I can’t name a dud. Their lyrics and messages are deep and layered and they have themes and stories which span multiple songs and albums. The music videos are works of art in their own right.

EVERY ARMY EVER: And they are even better LIVE! They sing in three different languages: Their mothertongue Korean, Japanese and English and all three hit differently. Their English songs are very poppy and colourful and happy while their Korean and Japanese songs are really DEEP. Especially their Korean original songs talk about mental health matters, hurt, loss, school system/politics failing their citizens etc. And yes they are working since they have been teenagers ... they debuted in 2013 when the youngest was 15 and the oldest was 20. They had dance practices for hours, they run on threadmills while singing so they can do the choreography while singing LIVE. Unlike other KPop acts, they have been part of the writing & production process since the beginning. All 7 members have different tastes in music and you can hear it in their sound. They are not only this or only that ... they can be hip hop, EDM, RnB, Pop or something completely different. They have one member who can easily sing opera (Watch the two Bangtan Bomb behind the scenes to the Black Swan MV filming) where one of them belts out parts of Nessun Dorma from the opera 'Turandot'. Usually in 'boybands' you have 1 voice that stands out while the others all have one similar voice colour (usually tenor). However, in BTS you have the whole range, we have tenor, falsetto and baritone and even the baritone can sing high notes. They create a very unique sound range with their voices alone. Add in the rap line who also can all sing and you have BTS.
@shheih2852 жыл бұрын
Jimin is a counter tenor, the highest of the 4 male vocal ranges (and rare). He doesn't normally need falsetto. V (Taehyung) is a baritone edging into bass, though he's extended his range well into the tenor range. The rest fall somewhere in between. Having studied choir and voice in my youth, I really love the way they blend together. Their singing instructor deserves a serious raise; especially since some of them had never sung before joining BTS.

"What else can they do?"..... Oh, bro, you're about to lose five years of your life catching up to ALL they can do. :) LMAO These guys are comprised of writers, producers, actors, directors, rappers, vocalists, dancers, musicians, philanthropists, and all around amazing, humble men. Who they are as professionals is very, very impressive. Who they are as individual people is truly extraordinary. They do look young, but the oldest is going on 30. The youngest will be 25 this year. They've been grinding since before their debut in 2013, and their dedication to their craft has created a well-oiled machine that became a brotherhood over the years. I really hope you check out more! Maybe: - Fake Love - ON Kinetic Manifesto - Mic Drop - Airplane Pt 2 - Film Out And again, that only scratches the surface of what they can do.

I'm 56 BTS are not a typical boy band far from it. I discovered BTS by accident and curiosity got me to listen to more, Captions On, from there I was lost. They are fantastic musicians, they can sing, rap & dance, often write there own lyrics & are involved in the production. Their lyrics, often focus on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work also often references literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline. "BTS," actually stands for the words, "Bangtan Sonyeondan," which translates to mean "Bulletproof Boy Scouts." 'Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents," They started out as a HipHop group in 2013, (they have 3 rappers, 2 of which were from the Korean underground rap scene & 4 Vocalists) but actually cover so many genres of music in addition to HipHop, invluding Pop, EDM, Rap, RnB, Rock, Urban, Trap, Ballads... they say not everyone will like all BTS songs, but there is a BTS song for everyone. For anyone willing to find out more I recommend taking a look at what they have to offer and suggest the following: Butter (All English) Dope Fire Danger DNA Idol Blood Sweat and Tears On Kinetic Manifesto prima Mic Drop Fake Love Not Today Save Me Truth Untold Your Eyes Tell The Cyphers if you like rap Outra Tear Then solo works: Jungkook - Euphoria, My Time V - Singularity, Stigma (live version), Sweet Night Suga's alter ego Agust D - Daewitcha, Agust D, The Last, Shadow RM - Persona, Joke J-Hope - Boy Meets Evil, Airplane Jin - Epiphany, Abyss Jimin - Serendipity, Filter

I usually don't subscribe on the first reaction, kinda like kissing on the first date. I loved your reaction so much and was so genuine and spot on, I paused to subscribe, halfway through the video. That was me when I saw my first BTS video. You should also watch their live performances, Tiny Desk Concert and Festa Live Room 2021. Would love to see your reaction to them. They have 5 videos with over 1 billion views. Any of them is good. They also have three English Language songs, Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. Be aware these are their most poppish songs and although I like them, very happy vibes, I don't think it's their best. However, the videos are so well produced. If you want to be blown away with their dancing, watch ON, Kinetic Manifesto. That's a performance video. They also have dance practice videos and their own game shows and variety shows, Run BTS , In the Scoop are just two. They also have their own animae universe. Check out their Tiny Tan videos, especially if you have kids. BTS always writes lyrics that talk about loving yourself and self esteem as well as social issues. They also write and produce or have a hand in producing all their songs and videos.

Loved your reaction to BTS and this was the perfect song to listen to them for the first time. As previously stated in the comments, there are 3 rappers (RM, Suga and J-Hope) and 4 vocalists (Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook). J-Hope is a sub-vocalist and Jungkook is a sub-rapper. There are 4 members in the main dance line (J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook and V). RM is the leader of BTS. Jin is the oldest member (he was 29 by Korean years in this video) and Jungkook is the youngest member (he was 24 by Korean years in this video). Jungkook is the main vocalist and sings the most backgrounds and ad libs. The members in order as they are sitting on the staircase (and the camera zooms in on them) are...Suga, V, Jungkook, RM, J-Hope, Jin and then it shows Jimin and he spreads out the black wings. Here are some more BTS songs/mv's I think you'll enjoy... You won't believe their range and talent (underpinned by an astonishing work ethic). Like others here, I definitely recommend "On Kinetic Manifesto." The singing, rapping, and choreo is insane. Their live performance on Jimmy Fallon is also a must-see at some point. Beyond their talent and skills, Army love BTS for their humbleness, kindness, and genuineness. They are also hillarious. Just watch them accept the 2021 AMA Award for Best Artist for a sense of their chaotic charm. Looking forward to more BTS reactions from you!

There's a misconception of what K-Pop is. It's the Korean Popular music industry. Like the American music industry. Like the British music industry. K-Pop is the industry. People are incredibly dismissive towards K-Pop and BTS without having a knowledge of these artists. And even saying oh I don't like K-Pop, without actually listening to 1 song or any recommendations. They train for years together for just a chance to debut. BTS are artists whose work covers many genres, such as rap, hip hop and R&B to name a few. I think that people assume that it's going to be candy floss, anime-ish, over the top poppy type music. And there are songs that are poppy, just like in the USA and UK, Korean artists do those too. But BTS is a phenomenon in this industry. Lightening struck when they were put together. If you decide to watch anymore MV's, and I hope you do, then any choreo you see in them, can be replicated on stage live, without lip syncing. They've said it themselves that they totally suck at it. They've trained to be able to maintain their stamina and stability to create a full performance of their work on stage live for ARMY. They're seasoned professionals.

Love your reaction. BTS transcends K-Pop. Suga, one of the 3 rappers, has always said that he wanted BTS to be their own genre. Believe me, they are. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 And another thing, they are even better LIVE🤯 The movie was Black Swan the ballet is Swan Lake. Where very often the white swan(good) and the black swan(bad) are played by the same dancer, symbolizing the struggle inside oneself between the light and the dark. I would really suggest you check out Daechwita by Agust D(Suga of BTS) you will flip.

Well they're not that young, their ages are btwn 24 - 29. A lot of people new to them think they just popped out of nowhere to sudden fame and popularity but they've been around since 2013. They pretty much built themselves from nothing to where they are now as the biggest group globally through sheer hard work, determination and dedication to their art. They were the underdogs in the Kpop industry (Kpop is not a genre of music) for the first few years of their career. It was only when they started to build a huge fan base internationally that the they started to be taken more seriously in S Korea. They have a huge discography (around 300 songs) that cover a lot of different genres from straight rap to edm to r&b to pop and more and their lyrics are very important to enjoying their music. They're also involved in all aspects of their music including composing, writing, production and even some choreo. Hope you check out more of their music.

The thing that I love the most about kpop, is that it puts so much emphasis on performance. Delivering a good performance on stage is seen as the most important part of a kpop group's job, so they spend a long time practicing their dancing even if it's not necessarily something they're good at to begin with. BTS aren't _that_ young by kpop standard, since they're currently aged 24 to 29 - and pretty much look their age for Asians.

Man I love your energy! Thanks for reacting to the boys, they are something else. I know ARMY will give you tons of info, so I'll try to keep my comment short. BTS = Bulletproof boy scouts (Bantang Soyeaondan in Korean), and it stands for being bulletproof to stereotypes, bulling and criticism. Kpop, common misconception but it is not a genre, it's an industry. BTS started as a hip hop group, but quickly evolved and with in their 300+ song catalogue you can find pop, ballads, hip hop, rap, jazz, etc. There are 7 members: Kim Namjoon (RM): The leader of the group, born in 94' he is the main rapper, song writer, and super mega intelligent with an IQ of 148. He was the first member to be recruited and the band was built around him. Kim Seokjin (Jin): Born in 92' he is the oldest, and even though in Korea that means he has more privileges he does't use his "Hyung" (older brother) benefits. He is super funny and lovable. Was studding to become an actor when the recruiting team found him, and he was recruited mainly because of his good looks. He learned to sing and dance from 0, and now has one of the most beautiful voices in the industry. Min Yoongi (SUGA): Born in 93' he is also a main rapper, song writer and producer. SUGA (ShooGua) means Shooting Guard, the position he played in his basketball team in high school. Yoogi is an introvert, who prefers to be in his studio writing songs, he writes an average of 300 songs a year. He writes and produces for other artists as well, not just BTS. Jung Hoseok (J-Hope): Born in 94' he is the lead dancer. His background is from street dancing. He also raps, and he is the happy engine of the group. He choose J-Hope for his stage name because he wanted to bring hope to people. Park Jimin (Jimin): Born in 95' he is one of the main dancers, his background is in contemporary dance and was the last one to be recruited. Jimin has an angelic voice and a beautiful soul. Kim Taehyung (V): Born in 95' Tae has one of the most unique soulful voices, he has low tones and high pitches you wouldn't imagine. Have you heard the phrase "Think outside the box"? well, that would be Tae. He is an artist in every aspect of the word. Jung Jungkook (JK): Born in 97' he is the youngest of the group, also their main vocalist. He has the most stable voice specially when dancing... oh yeah they don't use playbacks, or lip sing, ever. JK is the "Golden Maknae" (Maknae = the youngest), they call him that because he is good at anything he does... anything. His name is pronounced "Schunggoogk", Not Jung Kook like it got butchered in the western world 😅 Their training period lasted about 2 years, where they lived in a dorm, many trainees came and went, about 30 I believe, and these 7 were chosen to become BTS. They were in their teens when they debuted, JK(youngest) was 16 and Jin(oldest) was 20. Their company, Big Hit entertainment (which mission statement was "Music and artist for healing") was a very small company, and the boys literary started from nothing. They all shared one room in their 2 bedroom apartment and worked really hard to get where they are. You should check out "intro to BTS" by xcelest and "the most beautiful life: updated 2021" by asian theory to get a proper introduction, you will love it I promise. Do Xcelest first if you want, it's a 12 min video, but supper complete. BTS's music talks about self-love, acceptance, political injustice, depression, mental health and more important subjects you don't really see pop groups singing about. They do not write your typical "love song". Their videos and lyrics have a lot of symbolisms, and for some you might need to watch the explanation video afterwards because it is too much to take in. They have a couple of songs addressing their hatters (yes, they get a lot of hate), and other songs dedicated to ARMY (The name of their fandom). Visually, and this is one of the greatest things of kpop... it not only has to sound good, but has to look good... their videos are master pieces. Eye candy for the visual artists like me. Please keep in mind in the korean culture it's ok to be friendly/touchy/caring for your bro, aside the fact these guys have lived together for 10 years. Also the use of make up and clothing is part of the whole illusion to complete the "stage" (presentation). These guys are down to earth, genuine, good guys. You can see it in everything they do. They have dedicated the last 8 years since they debuted in 2013 to give to their fans... they had a variety show called Run BTS and do regular Vlives with their fans. They are rewriting what the relationship between an artist and their fans is, and that is why we love them so much. As for music and suggestions... man, they have over 300 songs.... what kind of music do you like? lol... Mic Drop, Fire, ON Kinetic Manifesto, Dynamite, DNA, Save me, GoGo, Dionysius, Not Today, So what are good to get you started. Bbapsae, UGH, Idol, Spring day (you'll need the explanation video afterwards) Fake Love, Blood Sweat and tears (eye candy videos) 2019 MAMA music awards live performance (mind blowing) ....EDIT: I meant "2019 MMAs" for their live performance... The 2019 MAMA's was awesome too, but I think you should watch the 2019 MMA..... I know they sound similar, but they are 2 different award shows. ✌🏻 Ok, I'll stop here this is a lot of info. Just finished reading your comment. First thank you so much for taking the time to explain so much to someone who has never heard any of their music and doesn't know their background. I can't believe where they came from, like you said nothing and worked so hard to become where they are. Their story is such a motivating one and I will definitely be checking out not only the songs you recommend but the story behind them too. Again thank you for taking the time to write this. We are a supportive community here who listen to all music and just share love and understanding for everything everyone likes and it sounds like this community fit in perfectly, all so kind and welcoming. Much love my friend ❤️

Loved your reaction. BTS are amazing and they cover so many genres, there's pretty much a song for everyone. Hope to see you check out more of them. They really are as talented as you said. And on top of that they write/produce most of their work as well. I highly recommend you checking out Mic Drop remix, and the Festa room live which gives snippets of their songs and really shows their range of work. Thanks from a fellow person from Britain :)

The amazing thing about BTS is that they break barriers and cross over in music genres. I definitely recommend you watch their tiny desk performance and their cover of 'I' ll be missing you. ' They are amazing live.' Micdrop' is a good introduction to their hiphop songs. Their 'Butter' music video is so smooth. And make sure you watch some interviews as well (I recommend Jimmy Fallon). Because their personalities make them even more awesome. Thanks for making this great and honest reaction video! Keep it up!

I took my daughter to see them in LA back in 2018. I went in not expecting much, but I left their show high the same reaction you are having. I’m a huge fan of theirs to this day. She and I have seen them live 5 times now and look forward to their next tour.

It is always such a pleasure watching someone discover the guys, they are more then just a "boy band" they are more then just K-Pop, unlike a lot of K-Pop groups BTS plays a part in writing most of their songs. This song was about what happens if they ever lose the desire to write or perform and what if that time was right then? Their music always has a deeper meaning and their message is what kept most of us here. When they say you need to love yourself first they mean it. People don't look beyond the words K-pop or Boy Band and they don't give the guys credit but you don't have and keep a fandom this large if your just a "boy band"

Hey! Thank you for your reaction I love when people (especially reactors) are respectful of BTS and they dive more into the meanings of their songs and their musicality rather than going "oh, their dancing is cool" or "it's so catchy". BTS songs are mostly composed and written by themselves with some help from their own company’s in-house producers (Supreme Boi, Pdogg, Slow Rabbit, Hiss Noise, Adora, ‘Hitman Bang’-CEO of the company and a few more others). They usually write songs that speak about mental health, society & social issues, speaking up for the youths and self-love. They are also incredible lyricists and often use a lot of metaphors, double (or triple, even quadruple) entendres, psychological, literary and philosophical themes, real events, etc. Fans like myself love them for their music along with their amazing personality, hard work, altruism and kindness. All their songs have meanings behind their lyrics. So if you react to their MVs or songs make sure to read the lyrics (doolset has the best translations, but genius doesn't do a bad job) and turn on the CCs! And their albums are heavily referenced to psychological theories, literature and art. Their album series ‘Map of the Soul’ is based on the book called ‘Jung’s Map of the Soul’ by Carl Jung. 1. Album Map of the Soul - Persona 2. Album Map of the Soul 7 (MOTS:7 released on 21st Feb 2020) 3. Album Map of the Soul: The Journey (Japanese album released on 14th July 2020) SOME OF THE BEST SONGS FROM BTS THAT HAVE A SOCIAL AND/OR POLITICAL COMMENTARY: - Bapsae (rich/poor, millennials/boomers) - Spring Day (Sewol Ferry Tragedy) - Am I wrong (political) - Paradise (mental health and race to success) - Spine Breaker (children breaking their parents' backs just to be "trendy") - No more Dream (debut song, your dream vs your parents' dream for you) - N.O. (rigid school system making mindless robots) They have plenty more especially their solo songs and the boys' individual mixtapes/music (yes they are allowed to create music outside of BTS). I hope you continue to enjoy their music and their journey as musicians! If you are willing to give them more of a chance, I'll leave you some suggestions! Sorry for the long comment here! These guys are most definitely insanely talented. I was hesitant at first to listen to them. The song that got me hooked was "Mic Drop". Would love to see your reaction to it. You will not be disappointed.
@AnimalLover-yy1ml2 жыл бұрын
The song is about losing passion for something you love (in their case music) BTS's lyrics are very important and meaningful. While they don't have a shortage of your traditional "lovestruck" boyband songs, they cover much deeper topics. Their mission statement is "music and artist for healing". They cover topics such as bullying, mental health, self love, socioeconomic injustices, following your dreams, female and youth empowerment, and so many more. I highly suggest looking into a lot more of their discography and other songs. It'd be worth it

It is actually so amazing to me that BTS fit all 7 members into their unit songs within 3 minutes and still gives them each a highlight. It always shows off each member's best qualities. They are so deep into participating in everything they do whether they're writing lyrics, producing tracks, filming MV's (Jungkook is a director!), Choreographing, producing artwork for albums and content, and SO much more. BTS stand alone in their category.

BTS is more than just K-POP. I can recommend you more videos such as MIC Drop, Fake Love, Blood Sweat & Tears, IDOL but the most "famous" (English songs) are Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. They have many songs of many genres, they have a particular versatility and they good at everything! Please, keep reacting to them!!

You're gonna be in a lot more surprises. I'm here for BTS and I hope you do more reactions of their MVs and performances. Their discography is amazing. This is a masterpiece, yes, but you need to buckle up bcoz every single thing they do is a masterpiece. And we dont call BTS 'kpop'.. sure they are parr of Kpop but they're bigger than just that. Looking forward to more of your BTS reactions. 😊 idk how many suggested already but ON Kinetic Manifesto Film is really good too and maybe MIC DROP after Black Swan. Thanks ☺

Thank you for the reaction! Each song and video they give out to the fans are very well thought out and executed. Not only are they talented, they are very intelligent, thus, you can always learn from them, through their songs and album concepts ( they produce, compose, and write their songs), through their speeches and their wise advices. You need to watch more of their videos to learn more about them!!

Loved your reaction!! I'd tell you to buckle for the ride but I think its already been said!! Enjoy the trip into the rabbit BTS hole!!! I can't wait to see more!! **The "K-Pop" label is truly as diverse as what the west calls "Pop Music"....They call it KPop because its Korean Pop!! Yes there are differences but its not vastly different in the sense of what is popular in one another's countries.

People go to bts for their music, but stay because of themselves. I've been an army for about 4 years now and it's an understatement to say these boys changed my life. Not only are they charming, charismatic and extremely humble people, the message they spread is truly admirable. I personally used to suffer from depression and other mental issues that made me view myself and my livelyhood as a waste of time, but when I found them they started to make me rethink my state of mind and how I thought about myself. Everyday they promote self love and make sure to tell ARMYs that they are loved and not alone and for once in my life I felt needed, like there was a reason to keep going. They made me want to live a good life. Whenever I hit a wall or wanted to give up I kept going because of them. And yeah it may sound stupid but they truly saved me from potentially ending everything. They have done for me more than anyone has and they have done the same for many others as well. I feel like it's safe to say they are truly lifesavers. Wether it be by donating to people in need or spreading love. They have made alot of people smile. And that is why I and many others will stand by them to the best of our ability.

I really enjoyed your reaction. Your excitement level is next level, lol. BTS also write, compose and produce. Some play instruments as well. As for BTS's sound...they cover so many different genres, so there is something for everyone in BTS's massive discography. And this reaction will do very well. Army's gonna LOVE your reaction.
