Not selfish at all 💜 I found them in 2018 and even then, when military wasn’t even on our minds, I had these same feelings. “Why didn’t I find them earlier?!??” Everytime I’d see a concert clip from the Wings era or the HYYH era I’d get so pissed thinking, I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE 😭 But it’s okay, you know why? Because I think of it this way- BTS are legends, and they will be remembered forever. Can you imagine being a fan who finds them long after they’re even an active group? People will continue loving them for decades to come, but we got to experience them real time. Regardless of when you got here, you can still say you were here to witness BTS during their active years. There will be fans many years from now who would kill for even one year with them. We still have many to go! Don’t worry. They will tour, and you will experience the purple ocean. You were meant to, and you will. 💜

Hi. I feel exactly the same way as you. I found BTS a few years ago at 56 and I also feel like I've missed out on so much. Of course, I've seen it all here on YT and elsewhere, but it's just not the same. I have never experienced a concert. That is my greatest wish. I HAVE to go to a BTS concert. Hope so much they come to Wembley again. It would be perfect for me who lives in Denmark. Let's both cross our fingers that we get our wish fulfilled. 🤞🤞🤞

😍🐥That was producer Pdogg’s house shown, where Jimin also wrote most of the lyrics, composed melodies, & helped produce all his songs, worked alongside Pdogg, (legendary in-house BigHit genius producer, along with a couple of other producers, GHSTLOOP & Evan for his whole FACE album! As Jimin FACE album production diary documentary showed, and now as well here, for this song that shows he apparently worked on also at producer Pdogg’s house, Jimin wrote the lyrics, composed most of the melodies, as well as was thoroughly involved in production for all songs! The first song on the album, a must to hear, ❣️“Face-Off”, absolute fire! As well as the song ❣️“Alone”, so deep, beautiful, & emotional, comes right after ❣️“Like Crazy”, which has a full English version as well, also a ‘hidden’ song❣️ “The Letter” (which Jimin wrote as a thank you to army), which can only be found on the physical album! But there is posted on YT a lyric vid for that as well. Last song spectacular ❣️“Set Me Free Pt.2”. The whole album, as Jimin has mentioned, is what he was trying to convey, pouring his heart out, his very essence, to show what he was going through, during pandemic, his emotions, thoughts, loneliness, despair, depression, that he hoped to share & have many able to relate to! Plus his voice is so beyond heavenly, stunningly beautiful, so eloquent, his ability to convey his feelings, emotions, what the lyrics are trying to say, his approach, the various tones that resonate, making you feel that much more what he’s feeling. What a phenomenal artist he is! Jimin worked alongside BigHit legendary genius producer, as well as a couple of other producers, who also worked BTS on many of BTS songs in the past! Jimin & the others worked non stop to the point where Jimin even mentioned he pretty much lived at Pdogg’s house for 10 months, where there’s a production studio where they all worked, apparently Jimin’s new release, was also created there! It’s yet another equally so beautiful, sincere song meant as a gift for army, while they’re all away temporarily in the military.❣️“Closer than This” also created there as well as who knows what other songs Jimin was also working on when album was released, & afterwards. BOTH THESE SONGS BROKE ME BUT FOR COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REASONS UGHHHH!!!! Hate You is my favorite from Golden, it's just so raw and beautiful. And Closer Than This was the perfect song in every way. Jimin knew just what we needed and promises us he'll be back, that they can't let us go. I'm a writer, so the line "letting go of your hand but it's only a comma in our story" hit me so hard! 😭 I understand your feelings and wish so badly that I'd discovered them sooner too. I've never even experienced a FESTA yet, but I know our world wide handsome will be back in time for my first.

🔗Interesting Info: ❣Yeon Eum Boys and Girls Choir gave enchanting harmony along with Jimin, truly captivating, especially in the latter part of the song. Jimin's charming vocals blend seamlessly with the pure vocals of the Yeon Eum Boys and Girls Choir, resulting in a beautiful and memorable performance. Also, aside from Jimin writing all the lyrics to this song, he also is credited with composing the melody! Jimin also, pretty much hand picked the clips & photos chosen that were shown. There were so many occasions that Jimin made a point of telling army afterwards, about how special those particular times were, so meaningful & meant so much to him! I also believe that some of the drawings, sketches seen in the MV for “Closer than This”, were also Jimin’s! It definitely looked like his style. Though for some reason, it’s not known as much in the fandom, Jimin is quite impressive in his artwork, as seen in some rare times during run episodes & or behind the scenes..Jimin excelled not only in art class but Jimin also took calligraphy, which shows in the way he writes as well! It's been reported that 2 of the 4 that just enlisted have albums ready to be released while they are away and JIN will release an album upon his return mid year. Luke save up til 2025 (18 months) because that tour when they are all back together will be HUGE.

Not selfish, totally relatable. I am too am scared that I have missed my chance to see them live. I’m almost 65, with below average health and financial constraints AND I live in Australia!!! But I also know that BTS found me when I needed them but 3 years ago feels too late! However, I’m trying to stay positive during the military break and someone like me totally relies on people like you & your channel, to help me get through the absence. It’s been incredible to watch your journey so far. You are truly ARMY and that makes it OK to feel a little lost for a while. BUT my advice is to make sure you don’t waste the time you have but rather continue to support BTS, ARMY & yourself during the break. Your channel with its real emotions is very special. In Jimin's song Filter, not only does he sound the most like MJ, but his dance moves are even more so like MJ. This is another must see Jimin solo performance, better quality & audio, that is much better then day 1 performance, and most important has Eng subs for the ever so important, meaningful genius lyrics! 👍❤‍🔥😍🔥🔥 Also would love for you to watch the English lyric vid, so you can hear Jimin’s ever so seductive vocals that he adds even more enticing adlibs to! They have literally said that it doesn't matter when you find them, only that you have. You might not have been with them for most of their first decade, but your with them now. They care less about us supporting them and more about supporting us. ARMYs frequently volunteer how long they've been ARMY, but it isn't a question that we ask each other very often. We find BTS, not just when we're meant to, but when we need them the most. Please, don't be sad that you didn't find them sooner. Most of what you missed is still available for you to watch, so you didn't really miss it, you're just a little late to seeing it. Even while they have to step away for a while, they're still here for us, and they always will be. Just like ARMY is here for them and for each other. They'll probably release a new group album at the end of 2025 or the beginning of 2026 and then do a major world tour in 2026. Just try to focus on that and know that you WILL see them in person one day.

Believe or not, I found BTS on the show The Voice, because on my play list I had only Blake Shelton. Hi. I found them at the beginning of covid. I becane very sick. Turned away by 2 ERs. I laid in bed watching youtube videos. I watched ON. The first video. Reminded me of MJ. I grew up in the eighties. Now I'm 60. I have watched many videos....no where near all their content. It was hard to put the right name to the right members. First there were 7 in the group. New hair colors. Then more hair colors. Eventually learning each member. Each time they were at the UN i cried. So proud of them like they were my children. Then watching each member's farewell song. Gosh. I cried again. When they come back to the states i am ready to go to their concert. My 3rd daughter's mother in law became a fan about the same time as me. We made a pac to go together 😅. We just have told the kids yet. They already poke fun at us.

Luke I discovered BTS around same time you did so I totally understand the missing out feeling. But Ive dived into their book, the RUN episodes, interviews........I think theres still more for the group to achieve and ARMY still have work to do to support them and celebrate their awesomeness. Yoongi talks about wanting to grow old with ARMY - this isnt a race, its a relationship that will evolve and there will always be new things to discover and experience with the Boys. This was a gut punch right now with them all gone into the military, but JIMIN wrote us a beautiful song-he reached in and wrapped his arms around our hearts with this, so as sad as it makes me, it also fills me with eternal hope and love for them, and I cannot wait until June 2025! (Of course we get Jin back in June '24, and Hobi, our sunshine, in October next Autumn, but we need all 7 to feel complete again.) JK's HATE YOU is a hauntingly beautiful song-brilliant vocals (as always), and it really is relatable-I remember my late first husband telling me that exact thing when we got divorced..."I have to hate you, because I still love you and it's the only way I can deal with this," for it's hits home-hard. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction, Luke..you always make ME cry, but they are tears brought by raw emotion and love. Hi, and thanks so much for your amazing reaction. I have been a card-carrying BTS Army member since 2015. You mentioned @ 04:16 that you wished you had found them earlier, but it really doesn't matter when you found BTS what matters is that you found them. I still cry to so many songs and cried my way through PTD On Stage Los Angeles at SOFI Stadium. The boys like the UK and once they have a comeback I'm certain they will perform there. After all, they filled Wembley Stadium 2 nights in a row! Purple You! 💜

Unfortunately, BTS members could not get out of military service even if they wanted to. ARMYs have watched for years as the South Korean government has debated the issue and they chose to not give them an exemption. As an American, I truly don’t understand it because, as you said, they are responsible for a considerable percentage of the country’s GDP. It’s also strange to me that a gamer that BTS had on an episode of Run BTS was recently exempted for winning an international competition…as a gamer! The guys have truly shown what they’re made of by the way they’ve handled this situation. For Jung Kook, have you not listened to the whole album? Each song is great! In fact, have you listened to the full albums of all of the members or just the ones that have music videos? You’re really missing out if you’re only doing the MVs. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Can you imaging the backlash if they did get an exemption? They really didnt have a choice but every right to have taken one. It makes me so angry and sad. I hope the experience will help them in the future at least to be able to feel confident as artists when they see ARMY waited just like we promised we would.

@@annaarwen4345 The legislation that was being debated (and debated and debated and debated) was to alter the exemption guidelines to allow *all* popular artists an opportunity to earn exemption. There are more than 50 competitions, domestic and global in which classical musicians can earn exemption (and the artist can take first *or* second place), and none in which popular artists can. The music industry itself kept insisting this was unfair and prejudicial and needed to be changed. And I don't mean the K-pop companies, I mean the head of Mkon, the association that is a collection of most of the country's recording labels, addressed the government personally. As we know, that got nowhere. The government was also warned repeatedly of the consequences of BTS enlisting, financially, in 'soft power', and in general interest to popular music. That fallout's been making itself felt already; the MAMA and MMA shows reported unusually low numbers of viewers with BTS absent, and K-pop in general is losing popularity. And now with the individual BTS albums all released (except Jin's), we'll see what happens to the income over the next year and a half.

I wasnt talking about backlash from the General public or politically, I meant the volume and verocity of mistreatment and harm from the usual corners of the industry and audience that already indulge in harrassment and attacks. Exemption would have been held over them going forwards - people still criticize and dont understand the conditions of the prosponement they were granted - Jin and Yoongi got so much negativity thrown at them for delaying.

As an older army (75 soon). I appreciate hour feelings. I only found BTS 3years ago. It's been a wonderful ride. I have been able to see so many great artists and so much beautiful music is a part of my life. I have never experienced anything like them before and im so grateful to have found them. I loved your reaction it's exactly how I feel about BTS. I found them a few months ago and they've totally changed me as well. And I'm so happy to hear someone acknowledge how amazing our guys are for choosing to enlist in the military and not try to use their status to skip out on their responsibility to their country. I feel like BTS sets the standard and they're such honorable individuals. They have the biggest hearts and are always trying to be the best version of themselves. I feel the exact same way! I am 62, and I found Jung Kook this year when he dropped SEVEN. I had no idea who he was. I just knew I loved the song. I did a little TikTok to it. After that, I thought let me research this young man... That was the beginning of a wonderful relationship! I found BTS, and actually, I was going through some emotional stuff, and I read that they come into your life at the right...such a true story! I have been traveling down the rabbit hole ever since, never to return. JK is my bias, but I love each one of them so much in this short amount of time. I hate that I did not discover them at the onset, but I know one thing, I'm BTS and ARMY for life and as soon as they are back in 2025, I don't care where the first concert is, I'm going. They couldn’t nor should they have avoided doing their service. To hold their heads up in front of their countrymen they had to go. What has been comforting is that they seemed to be so positive and unworried about it. They must have been concerned about stepping into something totally new but of course they did that when they became trainees. V surprised me the most by choosing to go into the anti terrorist division (I think that’s what it’s called). We should’ve guessed he was up to something when he started hitting the gym, something he’s never really liked by all accounts. So I joined you with the tears. Hate You is totally heart rending and hard to listen to but I just have to. I want to console him so much. The words of Jimin’s, Closer Than This are so touching. He couldn’t leave without letting us know how he feels about us. I’m glad that JK and Jimin have gone in together under the buddy system. Jin will soon be back followed by J-Hope. I found BTS in 2019 and got to see them in concert at met life stadium New Jersey. I didn't know the music like I do now and only wished I had found them sooner. I am 64 and hope to be able to afford to see them again in 2025. Had tickets to see them in DC but the pandemic hit and canceled. I was devastated. I feel the tickets will skyrocket bc they are so awesome. I miss them and can't wait for Jin to finish his duty and keep us occupied till the rest join him. Love your reactions.

I found them at the same time as you and I have these feelings all the time. I console myself with the fact I supported their solo endeavours and saw all that love they received, we were there to witness that. We have so many more years of new BTS to be a part of when they come back. A different era in which they will be thrilled to see how ARMY stayed for them. Hate You is my favourite song from Golden, and there are some brilliant songs to choose from…It’s so full of pain and despair, so raw, it really touched my heart, the vulnerability in his voice made me cry…And it’s clear how much Jimin loves Army!! I found BTS with I Need U back in 2015(before they really made it big internationally), and I saw them live at Wembley in 2019, yet I also wish I had found them earlier, I wish I could have supported them from debut…But this is life 🤷‍♂️🤗💜💜

It’s ok too. There are some who are only finding BTS now. I understand how you feel. I did listen to them around their debut and got side tracked then found them again later. I know BTS would absolutely love you and I wish there was a way they could react to these KZbins now, like they could before. I pray you get to interview them! Luke, I think your timing was just right! Perhaps years ago, you wouldn't have been open to listening to a K-Pop group. Look at how your life has changed since discovering BTS when you did; your YT channel grew, and you were able to leave your dead-end job. Several years ago, you might not have given them the attention you do now on your channel, and you might still be stuck in that job. I think most of us wish we had found them earlier in our lives, but I do believe that they find you when you need them, that's serendipity. It's okay Luke, we get it. But just remember, you still have all that to look forward too - after They're all back in 2025. In the meantime, you still have years of assorted BTS content to catch up on. Plus all the new stuff they'll be dropping in 2024. And before you now it, Jin will be back. There is nothing like being late in our fandom, at least in my opinion. But yeah, i know the feeling that you described. I was pretty familiar to BTS since 2016, and especially at their Fake Love (LYS) era but i was never curious about them and never paid attention. When they found me it was 2021 and it was the time that i was in the bottom mentally. I'm an ARMY since then. I'm happy the way they found me, it makes sense for me. However, i really wish that past me in 2016 or 2018 paid more attention to them so i would've have much more memories with them.
