Love this man’s voice. Have seen him a few times in concert and he really delivers. Why is he not in the Hall of Fame. 👏👏🥰

WOW! Someone reacting to my favorite singer of all times!! I have followed him since the 60’s! That makes me seasoned! I have seen him 3 times in concert. This man is in his 70s and can still sing well. He has so many hits with and without The Guess Who. I have all of his cds. My very favorite song of his is Heavenly Blue. He is a true ICON especially in Canada.

I was just a kid when this came out but my Dad had this album and that's how I got to know his music. The song you were wondering about that he played on the piano first is called "These Eyes" and it was a big hit for him. Also, "My Back Yard"was one I liked as well. Its a bit more upbeat. To clarify, in this case what I mean by "upbeat" is the rhythm of it lol)But I do like this one too. I liked your reaction. This took me back to listening to my dads albums on the stereo!

Burton Cummings was the voice behind the hit machine called The Guess Who. American Woman ring a bell? The Lenny Kravitz one you recently compared to the original. The first one he tinkled on the ivories was “Sour Suite” before he started talking. The one you are thinking of was “These Eyes”. Burton plays a nice flute solo on “Undun” which is a stellar track. “Albert Flasher”and “Running back to Saskatoon” are a few personal faves from when he was with them. Far too many hits to mention them all, but here’s a few: “Share the Land”, “ No Time”, “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature”, “Clap for Wolfman”. You really should go back and listen to the album cut of of American Woman with the extended intro. just saying..😎

Dang! Are you psychic or something? I just got this song stuck in my head today! The first song was called "Sour Suite" awesome song! Second one was "Laughing." (Or maybe the other way around...) But yeah, they're his!!! Glad I found your channel, enjoyed this! You should check out "Take One Away" it's another Burton Cummings song, an 80's one, almost over the top, almost cheesy, but somehow, not!

The first song was Sour Suite written by Burton Cummings. The song leading into your reaction song was Laughing written by Cummings and Randy Bachmann.
@tommiesmith3191 Жыл бұрын
The name of the first song is called "Sour Suite". It's from an album called "So Long Bannatyne" by the Canadian band The Guess Who. And yes it's his own composition. And the second song is called "These Eyes" and finally the third song was called "Laughing" The last two were co-written with Randy Bachman. When Randy and Burton were members of The Guess Who. Before Randy went to form Bachman Turner Overdrive. Hope all of that helps.

These Eyes is the name of the song that sounded familiar to you and yes he wrote it. He hardly ever performed music he hadn't written. He does so now. Yes he's still performing - he was 75 on New Year's Eve and I was at the sold-out concert celebrating his birthday. His voice is still amazing! He sang for a good two hours, tons of standing ovations mid-concert and an outstanding long one at the end! P.S. That New Year's Eve concert was with his long time band and at The Burton Cummings Theatre in his hometown Winnipeg, Manitoba. The theatre was an old vaudeville house, at least 100 years old, which was refurbished and named after this outstanding singer/songwriter. Am I a fan? Been enthralled with that voice for 60 years!
