love seeing people discover Candy and the collection of artist she keeps around her. First started listening to her back in 89 when a friend that was into jazz popped a cd into my car for me to listen too during a road trip. Have been a big fan of her's since then. Hope you enjoy her collection of music as much as I have over the years.

Glad you enjoyed this one P. Candy is a great sax player. She has an album called Saxuality that speaks for itself. There are actually quite a few lady sax players these days. Mindi Abair is just as good as Candy is and Pamela Williams is another. Pamela is known as the saxtress. I agree the guitar solo might be a bit long on a first listen but it grows on you. That was fun. 🎷✌️

Candy Dulfer has been around for years and she is one of my favourite musicians alive today. She has so much passion in her sax ... It's amazing. Your followers have suggested many of her best ... Lily was Here, Pick up the Pieces, My Funk. Her live version of Sax-a-go-go is awesome too. You have to see here and her band kick it up as well. That's a trip too. Check out Tommy Gun, 11:58, and her version of I Can't Make You Love Me is really powerful too. Love that you found her.

Love Candy Dulfer! She’s from Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her dad is a famous saxophonist, also Dutch, Hans Dulfer. They have a great album, together- “Dulfer&Dulfer.” Candy learned some from her dad, but is mostly self taught on her Alto Saxophone. The songs, “Everytime”, “Lily Was Here” (who she collaborated with Dave Stewart on her first album) and “Pick Up The Pieces” are all such an amazing vibe! Candy began playing at age 6 and formed her current band, “Funky Stuff” at age 13. She collaborated with Prince in his Musicology tour&album. He said she was his favorite saxophonist. She’s a singer and songwriter as well and joins the Dutch female supergroup the Ladies of Soul for their annual sold-out concerts at the massive Amsterdam Ziggo Dome. There’s so much more about her, but it’s too long to post here. If y’all want more of her and her dad’s musical history and life, there’s a lot on Google and Wikipedia. Shes so talented and I love her music!!

You should check out Lily Was Here. Everyone reacts to the versions with original guitarist Dave Stewart, but I highly recommend the 2015 Baloise Sessions with this guitarist, Ulco Bed, who rips a killer solo at six minutes in.

Check out Lily Was Here. Everybody reacts to videos with Dave Stewart on guitar, but Baloise Sessions 2015 has this guitarist, Ulco Bed, and he rips another killer solo like this one. That solo is shorter, Ulco really got lost in the sauce on this one.

Polo G, you need to check out and possibly react to Dire Straits, Sultans Of Swing Alchemy Live performance!!! It's possibly the greatest live performance of all-time!! The drummer is amazing, and the lead singer, Mark Knopfler, is one of the top 5 greatest guitarists of all-time!! It's the shortest 10 minutes you'll ever experience in your life!
