Yay Grandma! He was one of the most amazing Christian artists of modern times. Carmen's, story telling, hard-hitting, never back down songs are still very powerful and very needed now more than ever. Several of his songs are on my list to send you.

YES! Carman absolutely never backed down. He reminds me of Dan Vasc in some ways, because he was able to use different things to grab the youth. Plus, this one didn't have a lot of his singing going on, but when he DID sing...WOW! I'm going to look for a few more for Matt, but if you get to them first, no biggie. HUGS!

@GrandmasGotGraceLW I believe I saw Carmen in concert at least 3 times. Carmen never failed to give the salvation message. You're right, if you think about it. It kind of remind one of Dan Vasc and how creative he is with his music. Matt has 5 other songs from various artists I sent him to react to. What's a couple more? Hugs and blessings

Oh, wow! You never heard of Carman before? I got up really late yesterday, and got busy doing my bookkeeping, and forgot to check my e-mail, so I didn't see that you had finished this reaction until just now (13 hours after you posted it). I was hoping you'd really like this. One of the things that was really different with Carman (who passed away a while ago, now), is that he could teach, preach, minister in just about any way you can think of, and do it within crowds filled with people of any age. My mom loved him a LOT, and when she was in her early 60s and was living in Santa Ana, CA for a while, she attended his church, and loved every single second of it. I didn't live that far from her, but I was attending, ministering in music, alternating with several others in the nursery on Sundays, and teaching Sunday School classes to the Jr. High group, at a church that I loved, in Irvine. There just weren't any extra minutes to head over to hear Carman preach. However, we had (still have them) all of his (vinyl) albums, and some cassette tapes from later, and we watched recorded live shows with him in them, all the time. I'm going to request a couple of REALLY POWERFUL ones, if I can find the ones I'm looking for. They might end up just being audio, but you said that would be OK, if I'm remembering correctly. Thanks for this reaction! I'm glad you ended up liking it. Believe me, this was tame...partly because it was a bit of a younger crowd there with him. 😀

Basically, to call something cheesy or corny basically insulting it. You're calling it stupid. That's the problem with this generation. They're so used to listen to that ghetto c*** called rap music. But they don't even know what decent music is anymore. I think there's too much black influence. The music, but it's changed something else most. You're gospel music had a white sound. So many people know this white people don't even know what white music sounds like. You're so used to the black influence. Which particularly I don't like
