Know it’s been a while since this video, but when you started talking about finding your dad deceased and your girlfriend’s sadness about him missing out on all of that, I immediately thought of Chris Bandi’s “Would Have Loved Her.” The theme is what you’re describing: the feeling of sadness that a deceased loved one won’t be around for those precious moments you create with another loved one. Especially for something as precious and wonderful as finding “the one” and the child(ren) that come after. Not sure if you’ll ever hear that song and I know something like that is hard to describe, but thought I mention it anyway in case or anyone else needs a song like that to help process those kind of emotions.

My Daddy gave me away at my wedding he was always there for me i lost him in 2013 to brain and lung cancer. sadly my Mom had already passed away she never got to see me get married. Awesome reaction. love and prayers to you from the one and only Memphis Tn.

Dear rik You dont have to apologize for showing your emotions. My father died a long time ago, then last year l lost my stepfather, a.k.a. papa. Its been almost a year and l still cry. Praying for you & your family , I cried with you , I lost my dad back in 89 when I was 17 & I just lost my mom back in January but she was suffering real bad so now I know she had no more pain...You mentioned temporary home , please check out "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwood if you haven't already, it's a beautiful tearjerker.
