I miss Sunday too. Mom and dad are gone. Brothers have families of their own. We would stop at KFC on the way home, eat and get ready for Sunday football. What happen to the time? Miss those days.

Craig Morgan is very good about finding that real pulse of country music that resembled the ties it has to gospel and soft rock used for church purposes. This is not his only song like this.

I am a sub on another one of your channels and this popped up on my KZbin feed..... Growing up in church then not going... I know EXACTLY what you are talking about when you say you miss the feeling. I have been telling myself to get back there because those were some of my best memories. This popping up cements the fact that I will go to church on Sunday. Thank you Van so much!

I loved Sunday at my grandparents house. Go to church right across the street (didn’t much like that), play football or baseball with my cousins, nice lunch, watch whatever football game was on, maybe help my grandpa make ice cream, have a good dinner, probably play some cards, go to bed… so simple, but there was no stress.

I KNEW you would love this song... Listening to you talk about visualizing what he was singing about it is so true... when you know, you know.... I obviously don't know your whole story... but when you talk about your time/experience in the church it's usually in a past tense...but also very positive... Brother... let me encourage you... from a minister who understands church "stuff" (sugar honey iced tea) pretty well... get back to it!

I noticed you said you used to be heavily involved in church. I would encourage you and anyone else in this situation to return and get back involved. It will make a difference in your life. And your kids will have a good example to follow just as you can look back at the good examples you had back then. I love this song. Craig has several really great songs about how to look at things in life that happen to all of us at some level. I would say its because of his experience growing up in and around people of faith.

I remember walking through a stand of Mississippi Loblolly Pine trees, to a little white church in the woods. It was the 60's and the world had it's problems, but there was nothing better than a walk to the cow pasture and watching folks being baptized in a pond while cattle watched from the shoreline. A long table surrounded by chairs and the fix-ens of every person there sat upon a white tablecloth. A good mother wants nothing more before she dies, than to know her children will follow her into heaven.

i grew up in church with a fire breathing straight from the book un watered down preacher that made you wanna walk the line and over time between working all the time and the way many preachers today dont stick to the word and have started preaching all this humanism i got to where i went less and less, i have struggled for years with the term Church, as i realized it literally isn't a place or building but God's people it has become much harder to accept the new age idea of church, i mean today many churches have requirements to become a member, God only has one requirement and that is to Believe in Jesus and you get him from that faith, it's all about grace, we can't earn our way in, i miss it too brother but believe it with all my heart

My opinion on praise music is that God asks us to make a joyful noise - he doesn't specify that it has to be on key. That's my story and I'm sticking to it (I can stick to a story even if I can't stick to a key 😊).
