Glenn is one intense bastard. I saw them in a small club in '96 and he never said one single word to the audience. Just hit the stage with the opening song, right into the next, then the next.... After the last song he just slammed the mic down and left. No "thank you", no f*ck you" or anything.

You hit it on the head, Shon. Glenn Danzig, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, Robert Plant, Eric Burdon, Paul Rodgers, Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio, Freddy Mercury... These people wouldn't come anywhere close to winning American Idol (well, Freddy might get close) but they have quintessentially unique vocal ability. That's what actually counts. Also, this dude is like 5'4" tall and still manages to come off like a badass boss somehow.

Back in 1995 I was backstage at a Danzig, Marilyn Manson and Korn show. My friend was good friends with the Korn guy's. We quickly drank all the good beer from Korn's craft service table so we started sneaking beer from Danzig's table. And I was the unlucky one that got caught by Danzig himself, he threatened to beat the sh*t out of me. Thankfully Fieldy stepped in and smoothed things over. Ironically my friend who was in Rob Halfords band "Fight" at the time went on to play guitar in Marilyn Manson and later recorded some songs with Danzig.

He's a big Elvis and Doors fan. Danzig 2 Lucifuge has a photo almost identical to a Doors album cover. He did an album of Elvis songs to i think. Danzig does Elvis? He wrote a song for Johnny Cash and was part of the original Misfits lineup. Do a song called Dirty Balck Summer or It's Coming Down
@Alison-h8e4 ай бұрын
Yes, he is a Metal God for a sample of his range try How The Gods Kill most on here would say Twist of Cain another banger which Ole Glenn could do half asleep and half drunk. He's also known for a blues number or two as well as writing classical music and has I believe 2 classical albums. So yes the man is quite talented oh yeah and has a graphic comic sries as well as was or is either inpart or whole owner of a comic producer I believe his son took over that part of the business however.
