Darius Rucker is a Carolina guy. Grew up in Charleston,SC & has a home in Charleston, SC & Raleigh,NC. And Jai, if you know Hootie & the Blowfish, he is the lead singer. They played a HUGE concert for Veterans Day on a inclined street in Fayetteville, NC(Fort Bragg). Best thing about it was, it was FREE. This was many years back. But, it was awesome hours of beautiful music for free.

I use to see Darius w/ Hootie and the Blowfish down in the 5 points area of Columbia SC way back when they were just a local bar band. That would be in Late 80's into the early 90's. We were all so young then! Even after the band got signed and skyrocketed to stardom they never forgot where they started and would give a free concert every year back in Columbia in appreciation. Darius is one of those singers that could sing the phonebook and it would sound good. Amazing powerful voice. Darius had a solo R&B album back in 2002 called Back to Then. All great songs on it. He's now conquered country music and is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Hootie reunited in 2019 and released an album.

This song is Awesome! This is his family (wife at the time and kids) in the video. Sadly, they divorced. His kids are gorgeous! Darius can sing anything and it sounds magical!
