I'm with you, every single song and even after hearing a song 1,000 times, it's like I've never heard anything like it. No one can sing like him. The ones who have tried to duplicate one of his songs, their voice always fall so short. Dimash's voice is beautiful and amazing. He keeps getting better, he keeps doing more, he keeps doing something that no one else has done. And he is only 28yrs old. I wish him a long and healthy life and his voice never fails. Thank you.

Thanks for your reaction. I understand well your feeling: I listen to Dimash every day. Every day. And each time, it is like the first one. I have a playlist with 20 versions of Know (if you have not reacted to this song yet, do it! All versions are mind-blowing, especially the Arnau vocalise version or the New Wave version) and I can listen to this during hours and hours: at the first note, I am transported in another world, another dimension. As a reactor said, the humanity cannot comprehend yet this phenomenon, is not aware of what is happening with Dimash, because we could not be prepared for such phenomenon, he is beyond everything we have known so far. But beyond his insane vocal talent, what matters the most, to me, is his unique ability to pierce my heart with the emotions he conveys: each particle of his body, of his heart, of his soul, is dedicated to his art.

Like in many other arrangements, Dimash melds sacred music traditions of different cultures and ages into something uniquely his own. In this piece, for example, you hear Turkic throat singing - the ancient song of the steppes - creating the foundation while Dimash’s melismas soar high above it. The music of ancient cultures often used chants, overtone singing, and melismatic techniques to induce a hypnotic trance in the listener. Dimash is not only aware of the power of music to alter one’s state of consciousness, he wields this power masterfully but with great respect, like a shaman using his voice, body, and instrumentation to transport the listeners to a higher plane of existence. His friend since his teenage years, Erlan Bekchurin, is a brilliant arranger and is also steeped in Kazakh folklore. Together they create magic. The flute is a traditional Qazaq instrument called a sybyzgy. Also, for those who may not already know, he sings “I love you” in three different languages. First in English, then twice in Mandarin, “wo ai ni” and at the end, in Qazaq, “men seni suyemin.” What he whispers at the very end is “fei chang gan xie” which is thank you very much in Mandarin.

You know he has to right? For the Singer show, they dont want you to just do a cover, they want something new and fresh. And yes thats both Tengri and Hua Chenyu, they were both on Singer 2018. The re-arrangements will have been developed by Dimash, both the pacing if the lyrics and the composition of the music. He is always the one to decide when things are as he wants it to be. Dimash made Hello his own, the music arrangement is beautiful!!! The flute called Sybyzgy - made of reeds or wood 50-70 cm with 3-5 holes, is particularly common in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
