Dimash is such an incredible singer that persons sometimes accuse him of not actually singing the notes they hear. They think he might be lip syncing to a recording of a note sung by a female singer. So to prove he's actually singing live he sometimes gives these little proof-of-live-singing certificates in the form of things like varying the distance of the mic from his mouth to modulate the volume; or he would just break a high note with bits of silence. He presented both of these certificates in this performance.

Now you have heard "Opera2". Dimash, is doing a cover of the song. The song was written and sing by Vitas (Vitaliy Vladasovich Grachev), who is now 44 years old. I put "sing" not sung is that he is still singing those high notes & have upgraded Opera2. When he 1st sang opera2, he looked like a James Bond. Other Vitas songs are, Opera1, Mama, After Her. The gentleman who gave the fist pump at the end was Dimash's father. The story is Dimash didn't know that he had flown in for the performance so he apologized to his father afterwards for being so cheeky with the audience. Is that a true story? who knows but its a good story.

Opera 2 was my introduction to Dimash. I froze. For future reference: Search Dimash song title English subtitles. That way you'll also see the comments made by the competitors. Across Endless Dimensions:official MV from his youtube channel has English subtitles. Not to mention the video is spectacular. Y'all have a long way to go. Looking forward to more Dimash.

Great reaction guys! This is one of my favorite Dimash performances. Not only because of the vocals but because of his interaction with the audience. A lot of them had heard the original song and knew that the high parts repeated once and increased in range. Dimash repeated and went higher three times after the first! The original singer requested that Dimash never sing this again and he has complied.

Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. This was a cover song from the Russian artist Vitas. Vitas had his lawyers contact the Singer Competition execs in order to block Dimash from singing it. Of course Dimash improved on it and blew the roof off. Dimashified

He definitely wasn't showing off, without context I guess you wouldn't understand but this was a contest between established artists and he was brought in as a wildcard unknown in China, he had to go all out with everything he had to stay in the contest. You really need to listen to something completely different from him now. He's just written a brand new song called Omir, both music and lyrics which is the first time he's written the lyrics too and it's the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

I like how cheeky Dimash was in this performance. It was his first song sung after SOS which suddenly vaulted him into a mega-star. This song is about a lonely man with a wind outside his door howling. Vitas sang the "wind part" in individual notes like steps in a scale. I like Dimash's interpretation as the wind sound more like a real wind. 🥰🇨🇦

The Singer contest really helped Dimash and other artists gain so much exposure. It's where I found him and have loved the journey. Another artist I loved and discovered the following year in Singer 2018 was a Chinese artist Hua Chenu and his Epic version of a song called Nunchucks. I would love for you to do a reaction to that. He shows off different genre styles within the same song Classical, Rock, Rap, Opera and just keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Hua Chenu was able to observe Dimash's work in China many times. In 2017, he was among the rappers when Dimash sang together with Viktor Ma. In Singer 2018, he listened to Dimash perform Hello. I suspect that their paths crossed a few more times. It's no wonder that Hua Chenu took risks and sings in different styles, because Dimash paved the way for him. It's cool that artists draw inspiration from the work of other artists. Dimash also drew on the work of other foreign performers. In China, they usually sing like in Singer, and Dimash brought a lot of novelties.

Sadly you picked the version without the subtitles which doesn't show you that Dimash's dad was in the audience secretly. Its so heartwarming to see, when Dimash realizes his dad is there. The audience probably don't know the words either because this song is in Russian. Original singer is a man named Vitas, but you won't see Dimash perform this song anymore as he got a letter from Vitas's team to never sing his songs again. Vitas is pretty well known in China too. There are so many great artists out there, so getting lost is inevitable but I'm glad your back. Hope your eye is ok.

It's pretty much a novelty song. The lyrics are the singer's complaint that the wind has slammed his door shut and is rattling his windows. Then he becomes the fierce wind.

The song is about a guy who built a house and now lives all alone and sad in it ...listening to the howling of the wind outside ... This song belongs to the Ukrainian- Russian vocal clown Vitas. However, they forgot to ask Vitas. The people who hold the rights sued Chinese TV... unfortunately too late. The Chinese had already put it online and so it is on the Internet forever. Seriously missed you guys.. you really haven’t seen all that much yet!😂 Please come back? You want another swoon worthy song? LOVE IS LIKE A DREAM (burgundy suit), Autumn Strong from his Arnau tour (red suit) yes! You guys haven’t actually seen him in a concert setting yet- all the ones you’ve seen either music videos or single performances on shows.. it was his last concert of his 1st world tour before the pandemic cut his dream short.. AND it was in Kyiv Ukraine. There are many beautiful songs from this concert. Autumn Strong is the famous Chinese version of a song you already saw- Ikanaide… it got remade in China with different lyrics, similar but not same feelings. It’s kind of his prayer to his homeland & the world.. QAIRAN ELIM If you want to have your heart pierced thru & thru & see some cool behind the scenes stuff- see DAYBREAK.. 2 versions- one go to Gloria Wu channel to see extended behind the scenes from the Singer competition. He was sick & had to go to hospital for throat injections, but also it tells the beautiful & tragic backstory to this special song to Dimash. It’s a special performance even with him being very ill. Dimash worked so hard he’s much skinnier as he lost weight from the hard effort leading up to concert. Anyway this performance of Daybreak is out of this world. Oh & Adai+Daididau from Bastau haha😬… he literally brings in over 100 kazakh musicians & this is such a special moment for him. (and he looks like a prince) Lol that should keep you busy for a while😂 I had to make myself stop bc there are so many. But look, if you’re inspired write down the suggestions in a notebook & do when or if you want. Another reactor is doing 21 songs for Dimash week right now. Just 3 songs a day, for a week. Or if you’re not inspired to, other things are taking your attention **and you’re enjoying yourselves** then that is always the most important! As soon as it becomes a chore or stressful it’s time to take a break or figure out how to skip that part! At least that’s my wish for you. Often I find the channels that do the grind stop feeling authentic or that enjoyable to watch (bc it stopped being that enjoyable to you), & so then it becomes a vicious cycle of having to do more more more, diminishing returns. Your genuine enjoyment is the product :) I hope that’s with a Dimash rabbit hole, your life will only be enriched because you’re witnessing history, he’s not just another mad talented singer. Thank you so much! Sorry for the really late response, we went on vacation around this time and we got seriously back logged, it's pretty overwhelming to be honest. We do like to space out dimash and others because we know there big rabbit holes and like you said we don't want to burn out on one artist. KZbin is a hobby for us as we both have jobs so we are kind of weekend warriors with KZbin so when we record we usually do it on the weekend and have 5 or 6 videos scheduled to be released during the week. As much as I want this to be Taylor's full time job the copyrights on every video just make it impossible. You'd think with 40k subs and the views this channel gets we'd be able too but last month we only made 200 dollars and in Colorado that's basically a nice dinner out lol

I don't know how old you are but could you please drop the panty dropper comment it is in poor taste. Dimash does not evoke that kind of cheap behaviour. His fans range from children to old people he has a Master's Degree in music comp and is about to get his Ph.D. This video is 6 years old. He speaks 3 languages and plays 7 musical instruments. he also sings in 14 different languages.
