Dimash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. As a Doctor of musical arts and science, it is my humble opinion that Dimash is a gift long-awaited and in need by the world. Aware or not, Dimash is far more than an entertainer, he is a healer for those in desperate need of reconnection. Perfect resonance, perfect balance in an unbalanced world.

I've been obsessed with Dimash's techniques and quips for a long time now and I'm so attached to watching reaction videos in order to learn more. As a producer, he's the singer I want to pick at with different genres to experiment different styles and/or splices to see how far I can push music.

Dimash has a production company committed to such exploration. You might be familiar that he has turned down many offers to excel in the field of Opera, but because of the limited scope the practice follows he has chosen to follow full expression in his art. His opus, "The Story Of One Sky, is an amazing adventure into an almost super-human endeavor. Give it a listen.

The very fast register change, where Dimash is quickly slipping over his break from chest voice into head voice, is often called a goat trill. It’s a common ornamentation in West Asian (Middle Eastern) music. The Kazakh people are largely descended from Turkic nomads, with a large minority of Slavic people. So they tend to have a blending of Asian and Slavic culture.

Dimash's version of "Sinful Passion" originally composed by Baigali Serkebayev (at keyboards) and performed in 1998 by the Kazakhstan band, A-Studio. To honor the song and band, Dimash, asked A Studio to play the song on the stage with Dimash. The tribal/ethnic trill (aka CAPRINO: is a rapidly beating vibrato that sounds like a trill or a bleating of a goat and is sung in several ethnic and cultural areas throughout Kazakhstan, the Middle East and many other areas). Dimash sang this Caprino as a tribute and to pay respect to Batyr Shukenov, who died in 2015. You may already know that Dimash has so many different sounds because he has been taking singing and piano lessons since he was 5 years old when his teacher discovered he had perfect pitch. He earned his first University Bachelor's Degrees in Classical Music (Opera) at the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe and his second Bachelor's Degree at the Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score. Although Dimash was invited to enter the Ph.D. Program in Classical Music (Opera) in 2020, he entered a Ph.D. Program to study the development of music through folk songs and technique. However, I'm not sure he finished his Ph.D. dissertation given his numerous projects and shows. It is clear that he has continued to study the development of many cultural compositions and singing techniques. One thing I do want to make clear is that Dimash will never sing in a manner that would damage his voice. For example, in his song "The Story of One Sky" in the latter part of the song, it sounds as though Dimash is screaming, but if you listen carefully, there is not tension and a noticeable vibrato which demonstrates that he has created a relaxed technique that will not cause vocal nodules.

My DEAR Chris……Even though Dimash never acknowledges what his rank really is, this is a humble summary of what the voice specialists say. Actually almost a 7 octaves range. From barítono to soprano. E1 Growling G1 spoken fry A2 lowest chest A1 lowest vocal fry C6 highest mix Eb6 high falsetto F#6 highest head A5-Bb#5 head voice F7-D8 highest whistle Which is 6 octaves and 5 semitones. In growl , He can go down to E1. 6 octaves and 8 semitones. Tenors don’t usually sing in the lower half of the 2nd octave.... which He smashes To put that in comparison: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is E1-D8. …..abrazo mexicano….🥰❤️🔥👏🏻🇰🇿😍🇲🇽
