Is it 7 now? He was 6 and 2 semitones before, but with his development of his low range i definately think its possible it's 7. He could get to 8 if he was to master the A7-G7 range. As he normally goes from F6 in falsetto to d8 whistle. Hard to master that ares in between but im sure hes capable.

He is megastar here in Russia and China and central asia over all.His album 'ID' was announced platium in 37 seconds and 3x platium in 47 minutes and gold under 24 hours of its release.He was guest performer here.He have 6 octave and 2 semitone but naturally he is a baritone. He doesn't have any age limited fans.He is loved by old to young to teen and even children.Here people say his voice can cure disease and in china people call him 'laoshi' which means master but he didn't like this word and people stop calling him that on his request.He got million of fans from all round the world.People from 54 countries flew to new york to attend his concert in Barclays center and 64 countries to watch his online concert back in janauary. Naturally he is a tenor (he and his vocal coach from the very begining said that), and I could not believe that any other can deny this truth ! If Hussein Bolt (world and Olympic champion and record holder in the 100 m and 200 m flat) says he is a sprinter, if his coach says the same thing, I don't think anyone will argue with them saying that he would be a semi-long distance runner. ! So Dimash is a tenor, but obviously through music education beyond any understanding that a regular music lover can have has become something else in time, he can be anything he wants and obviously he works to always become better! I've known about him since 2017, even in January, but I found that he has developed an enormously lower range since then and has perfected almost all the registers in which he plays. Anyone who knows at least the basics of a music education for voice knows that you can't produce a vibratto unless you feel comfortable in that register. Dimash had vibratto in both C2 and D8 (here for 5 seconds), and that tells us just about everything we need to know!

The piano player wasn’t bored, that is Igor Krutoy, very famous Russian composer who came out of retirement when he heard Dimash just so he could work with him. Anytime you see him at the piano it is a song he wrote. This one he wrote specifically to accommodate everything Dimash can do. The “violin” player is Dimash’s friend from Kazakhstan and he is playing the Kobyz. He is not bored either, more like “in the zone” You need to go back to the beginning of the Dimash journey to the 2017 Chinese Singer competition where Dimash got rocketed to overnight fame after singing SOS. In the different episodes in sings in French, English, Russian, Italian and Kazakh. He only knew Kazakh and some Russian. The others he had to learn phonetically in a week. He sings Show Must Go On awesomely though some criticize his English pronunciation. The rest of us are gobsmacked that he learnt the whole song and his arrangement of it in just a week so forgive the few pronunciation mistakes. If you watch him perform over the last few years you will be amazed how he has taken perfection and kept on taking it to a higher and higher level. He sings rock, pop, rap, crossover classical to straight opera, sometimes in one song and makes it work awesomely.

Dimash is fluent in Russian because Kazakhstan was a former constituent of the USSR. He can also converse in English which he has acquired over the last few years. In the Chinese I am a Singer competition, he sung “Autumn Strong” in Mandarin adding to the many languages in which he sings.

Best singer in the world. That instrument is called the kobyz. It is an instrument from Kazakhstan. Only has two strings. Dimash has a 7 plus octave range. He is a guest singer and was also a judge. He also performed a song called ave Maria. Not the traditional ave Maria but one that was composed just for him by a Russian composer Igor krutoy that came out of retirement just to work with Dimash. He is a very famous composer and is a billionaire. I hope you will continue on this journey of the king of vocals. It only gets better. "SOS" "sinful passion" dimash is just the most insane vocalist in the world. Another one you can't pick a bad song. 7 octaves. Multiple instruments. The man is pure music. He started at age 3? I may be mistaken but I know it was early. His whole family is involved in music so the base was there and he works hard on his natural gift. So glad you found him. Another Dear is born, right in front of our eyes! It's still so much fun watching someone like Rob, who has the heart to receive at this level, light up! Of course, it always brings back that moment for me in the very late winter of 2017 when I first heard Dimash - and he was singing SOS. Dimash's voice altered me in a way that forever changed me, like when an earthquake shakes the earth off its axis a little. I've lived almost 70 years at this point and I have heard many wonderful vocalists during that time, but NONE like Dimash!!!! You should check out his more recent live performance of this same song, Stranger, that he just performed a few days ago in China for the Shine! Super Brothers TV show. What he does with his voice is even more insane than this one. It’s a competition so he upped his game. The craziest thing is that he was sick and still gave an unbelievable performance. I’d also recommend the two other songs in addition to Stranger that he premiered at this New Wave event in August -Ave Maria (a new composition with no words, not the Schubert version) and Fly Away (pop/EDM)-to get a small taste of how versatile he is.

@@gazzabart Yes, he was. In a recent interview he said he had a Terrible sore throat. Neck was so swollen he couldn't speak. That day Dr. came and gave him 5 THROAT injections. Still couldn't talk. But when he got on stage...he could SING!!!😳😳 Said it was Very Painful singing, but he made it thru. Next day the swelling was down and better. It was song 4 or 5...don't remember which. He was Nervous, as he's representing his country!! Boy, that takes guts!!

He's been singing publicly since he was 5. Fortunately his parents picked up on his gift. Dimash sings all genres, blends them he composes and writes lyrics. He is highly qualified may still be studying for his docorate in music.The chap on piano Igor krotoy (not sure of spelling ) came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash. Dimash is only 27 this year 2021. His voice was amazing even back in 2017, when the world was lucky enough to come across him. In his own country he has been given many awards that wud not usually be given to such a young person. Otherc countries have also rewarded him for the good works he does. I’ve been listening to him for over four years and he just keeps getting better. He is also a very humble and compassionate young man. Great reaction. Very enjoyable. You have not even begun to scratch the surface of this man's talent and ability. Dimash premiered his newest song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. It is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Dimash traverses almost 5 octaves (C2-F6) in this performance. That stunning last note is an almost 20-second full mixed voice belt in F#5. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that “it was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger" he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique, yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song’s deep meaning. This wasn’t the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash’s other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival). The kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or kyl kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today’s bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer’s bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show’s organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of “Sinful Passion”. This year (2021) Dimash took part as a guest performer, as well as a judge. Dimash gives 100% to every performance, He can sing full opera, through to rap. He did two more performances at this event, one is a new version of Ave Maria which is stunning and the other is Fly Away which is more pop. But if you want to go to the beginning, he was in a Chinese talent show called I am singer and sang S O S in French which brought him to the attention of the world, plus 600 million hits on Chinese you tube, overnight. That was 2017. I’ve listened every day since. And went to Latvia to see him in concert. Amazing. He has over 100 songs in many genres, something for every taste.

Dimash is now a world class artist, still just turned 27 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous Russian pianist & composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and recently he has finished his master degree in music composition and it is about to start his doctorate in Musicology. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4. His Dears, as Dimash calls his fans because we are so dear to him and very loyal, number over 70 fan clubs in 120 countries globally and number in the millions, probably you will soon be one of us Dears. The instrument is an ancient one called the Kobyz. Music Historians identify it as a Kazakh 'ancestor' of all of our modern stringed instruments today: Cello's Violins etc. In Kazak tradition it was only to be used by Shamans and Medicine Men. It's sound was so powerful it was believed to be able to heal the sick and drive away bad spirits. { Music 'Therapy' was NOT invented in this - nor the last - century!} Dimash, who is an ambassador for all of Kazakhstan musical traditions, insisted on the 'voice' of the Kobyz being incorporated as foundational in this piece. Olzhas Qurmanbek is a renowned Kobyz Player. He certainly wasn't bored! But I think he's probably heard enough of Dimash's voice to no longer be shocked. (at least - not until the next song} The piano player is the famous and much respected Russian Composer and Producer [ Igor Krutoy ] - who came out of retirement to write music specifically to showcase the unique voice of Dimash. He has written many pieces for him. The dramatic 'Olympico' - the dramatic opening performance to the European Games being a great example. Dimash has also completed post graduate studies in Composition, amongst other topics, and is now increasingly involved in writing and arranging his own music. Yes - Dimash's voice reaches in and grabs your heart strings. Putting aside - just for a moment - his incredible range and phenomenal skill , It is not only the tone and timbre of his voice that connects him so solidly to his audience,- but also the way he pours - as you recognised - 1000% of himself into each and every performance. Yo, your reaction at the end!! We ALLLLL feel like that EVERY TIME! You got so emotional! lol! You're adorable...yes, Dimash generates that in all of us. We are called "Dears" (per his request) and some of the feelings that he has caused in me with his songs is sadness, wanting to be in love, feeling like I am in heaven, wanting to dance....you'll see! OH, and that instrument is not a violin (not sure why you thought that? and you said it's your favorite? lol!) but it's an instrument that is from his country and he also plays it. Buckle up. You are in for the ride of your life! And he has MANY more than 4 voices....7 octaves!!!!
